The last breath of flowers in Borrego Springs. This photo was taken at the edge of the field where there is lots of sand. As you can see, the flower buds are just holding on and showing off their beauty in a different way. We also got to see loads of butterflies! Last time we were here in 2017, we saw carpets of flowers and only caterpillars. A different perspective this visit. If you ever wondered how small I actually am, here I am underneath part of the Serpent sculpture in Galleta Meadows, Borrego Springs! There are amazing sculpture installations here ranging from dinosaurs to sloths. A definite treat to check them out! In thinking about hiking in a new state next week, I want to thank anyone who’s ever been nice to us on the trail. We get a wide variety of remarks, shocks, and awes.
