Roughing out the loose proportions of different details. Gonna take some alignment tweaking for some of the props when taking printing the master into consideration. At any rate, well under way, and nothing has yet exploded on me. Huzzah.Â

Concept art for my upcoming GB ome wizard sculpt. It's a strange thing, putting my beginning stabs at a new medium out there after being an established painter and dioramist for several years. Hopefully. We'll be able to look back on this in five years ans dispel any notions of raw talent. It's sheer manhours/repetition. Do anything 20+ hours a week and you'll improve.
Sculpting a nature staff for my first stab at a character in the 70-90mm scale. It's a helluva thing, moving from a medium in which you're fairly skilled into one where you're a total amatuer, but it's all part of being an artist. Talent in about 90% determination.
At any rate, I'm proud of how this is coming along, despite needing to come alogg quite a bit further still.
Finally competent enough in zbrush to create whatever I want. Now time to take off the kiddie gloves.
Really enjoying this sculpt so far.

Gluttony.
Finally took the plunge and bought all $800 worth of a Zbrush license. It’s uh... working.Â
Nailed it.
Need some pun help. Gotta come up with a name for this band.
Figures were sculpted in 1988-1989 and cast in 1990, I was between 5 - 7 years old then. They're surprisingly high detail and relatively well proportioned for the Era, but I digress.
All I've got so far in either 'Night Waagher' or 'Metallorka'. Surely you lot can do better.

Nocturna Models 70mm Sculpt: Ali Jalali Paint: Will Thompson (Miniatures of Tomorrow)
Just a couple hours to do the hair/feet, then a couple hours of touch ups left. Helluva piece. Wonderful to paint from start to finish.
The owl's name is Hootsy Collins, and he's seen some shit.
