I know I’m so late to the train, but I finally made the time to listen to I Think I’m Struggling With Getting Older and it slaps so hard. It describes the quarter-life crisis so well, especially with songs like Jenny and Dying in America. Listening to the smooth, electro pop, I was immediately transported back to the me of five or so years ago, wondering where I was going in my life..really wanting to move my life forward but not knowing how.

also the music nerd in me loves how the verses in Dying in America are in 3/4 time while the chorus is in 4/4. Really brings in an urgency to the verses and then the chorus just brings it up a notch. Well done!

This made me so nostalgic…I still remember here powerful performance of You Set Me Free and rooting for her during Idol. I’m so glad she has gotten to pursue her dream in music that is fulfilling. Her voice is still so unique and powerful!
