will&aiden; mothers day 5/8

Aiden knew that he needed to suck it up and give William a shot, he had to talk to him once and for all without shouting at him, he knew it wouldn’t be easy for him or the other male but it had to be done. They were roommates, trying to live in the same space so working through all these feelings, it was much needed and long due because of Aiden. He did everything he could to avoid Will even if that meant going out with friends, going out alone, even if that meant doing nothing but sitting in the library pretending to study until he knew for certain that Will would already be locked away in his room for the night. He was being immature and childish about it but after finding out William Sharpe was his half brother, his mother’s son. It affected him, more than he’d like to admit. Will was the only one that really knew the feelings he was feeling towards him because Aiden had kept his mouth shut when it came to his half brother to everyone else. The conversations they had while they were walking was dull, about practically nothing. Aiden gave his one word answers, only making things more tense which was his intention. Sitting in the restaurant across from him he ordered his food and leaned his back against the seat. His question startled him, Will got right to the point and hearing his mother’s name come from the other man’s lips still got him extremely frustrated. Holding back the obvious frustration that showed on his face he took a sip of water that was already placed on the table. “She’s not doing much Will.” His tone was a little harsh before he took a small breath. “Is that what you brought me out here for? You wanted to ask what my mom was up to today or was there something else because if there was, I’d like it if you just told me now.” He was speaking in a calm speaking voice but he knew there was a hostile tone to it and part of him felt bad for that. In a lot of ways Aiden understood where Will was coming from because he had never known his father and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t have question or wonder what he was up to, he’d be lying if he said a day dedicated to him didn’t make him feel like shit so he could only see Will feeling some of those same feeling except about their mother.
Will wasn’t surprised by Aiden’s initial tone with him. After their first conversation about their mother, things had gotten intense really quickly and it didn’t end up going anywhere. He actually should have known better this time, but he thought that he should at least try again. “Can you really blame me for being curious?” He lifted his gaze from the table and to the male across from him. Since finding out they were related, he had noticed the similar physical features. They weren’t obvious, not unless you were really seeking them out. “I don’t like this. I don’t like how awkward it can get back at the apartment between us. I don’t like looking at you and thinking about the woman who gave up on me.” Will bit his lip, knowing it had again escalated rather quickly. “I just want to know about her.. that’s all. You’re the only one who can truly give it to me straight. If I asked my dad or my aunts, they’d have their own opinions. I want.. yours. You grew up with her.. you’re her son.” He was rambling a bit now and he looked down for a moment. “But if you really don’t want to share any information about her to me, then I have to respect that.”
