“It’s worth every second, if you get the chance. But it’s been a long time since I’ve stayed in one place, and I’m not saying it’s why I came back, but my mum’s definitely been throwing around a little bit of the ‘It would be nice to have you home again’ and ‘If you don’t put down some roots you’ll forget how,’ so here I am.” Freddie waited when Will looked like he might say something else about his travels, but he changed the subject instead. “What else would you be doing, in a perfect world where you weren’t needed the way you are?”

“Oh, I completely believe you. One day I’ll just do it. I’ll just pack some shit up and leave for a month or so,” he chuckled. “Classic mum guilt. I’m sure she appreciates that you are back, even if it’s not for that long. It’s always nice when mums miss you and make you feel right at home,” he grinned. “If it were up to my father, I would be some kind of lawyer that made a lot more money. Maybe even be in parliament. I have been so anti anything my father wants for so long that the idea of that sounds atrocious to me. I’m honestly not sure what I’d do instead. What do you do for a living?”
