I've checked the weather for around the end of the month.
Once I have the tower cleaned out I’ll be keeping the door unlocked so that students can go in there as they so please. Halloween is the only time I have planned at present, though I’m already considering another time in early December with the warning that one should consider more layers. The one at the end of the month will be on the grounds, I wanted to do something like that last year but it fell through and I think there was a general disinterest throughout the particular roster in such things. Perhaps December will be in the tower, to keep from too much of the chill but it is…drafty up there. If there is enough participation it very well may reflect in some of the units in class, though overall this is something I’ve considered to be more fun for you guys and certainly myself. Consider it a gentle break from some of the more intensive work we will be incurring.
Will you be up there often too when you open it up to the students? I mean other than how much you suggested you're already up there. What are we going to do come Halloween? More specifically which parts will we be looking for? For December we can make it a small warm event I don't think many will miss it this time and if they do, well I know a small collection of us will probably be around often enough. You'll always have a few of us interested and willing to listen. And when exactly is the more intensive working going to be covered? What's it going to be on? Wait, will we be covering dark matter and dark energy? How many of those questions are you going to skip over, I should stop rambling off. I’m slightly very excited.

What a Wonderful World AU || Mel & Open
She was happy. She was always happy. Melody was not one to think much of it until a friend of hers had taken it upon themselves to question her on the subject. Howcould she always be happy? How was it someone could exist in such a state of pure excitement and joy and never seem to experience moment of sadness or a time of grief. melody really haven’t put much thought into it. Not until now.
It was her turn next in line. She could see the medication being dispensed into those tiny little cups. Cups that she had just figured we’re good. She never really came to question what they were or what they did. In her mind these little pills where what kept her healthy. And she wasn’t wrong, not entirely at least. The line moves slowly but surely before she knew it she was next. She could feel her self ringing her hands with nervousness but she forced to smile as she walked towards the medication window.
"Melody! How are you today, Hun?" The nurse behind the desk offered her a friendly smile. Melody couldn’t restrain the grin that took over her features. "Pretty good! Not much to complain about, except the cold water in the shower, but, hey! It will be okay!" She took her medication cup and tipped it back, tucking the pills into her upper lip pocket and flashing the nurse a show of her tongue to show it was gone. The nurse hadn’t a reason to mistrust Melody. After all, she was one of the most pleasant and well behaved patients in the entire center. "Have a good night!" Mel chimed as she slipped off around the corner to a hall she knew was typically empty and pulled the pills from her lips. Three of them. Two white, one blue…but what were they? They didn’t have names…simply numbers. With a perplexed purse of her lips she flipped them back and forth in the palm of her hand, so focused that when a noise startled her she sent then skittering down the hallway in three different directions.
He could hear the huff of the people behind him for taking too long as he poured the pills onto the counter and began to align them in his daily ritual-- first by alphabetical order of colors and then by size. The nurse was at least patient with him, understanding that everything had a place, everything needed to be seen and presented before he could carry on his tasks. One by one he shoved them into his mouth in the same fashion he'd laid them out, ignoring the tang of the disintegrating capsules lingering too long before he swallowed them. A quick, opened-mouth show he had done the task and he was on his way.
The same medication everyday to everyone... a part of him believed it was only a passive way to treat them all, shuffle the patients into a ditch keeping them in their sickness but manageable in condition. Still, Will couldn't risk it, couldn't muster the courage to attempt let alone follow through with missing his dosage. For all he knew the next one, specialized or general, could be the one to change everything or if missed the sole act to condemn him to a life of isolation.
One foot on the line, hands in his pockets tightening and loosening to a rhythm of footfalls and back straight as he walked. Most of the tasks and small reminders came naturally now without a second dictating voice to commandeer all conscious thought. If it was still present, it came as a quiet suggestion he paid little attention to until it would grow louder with a stern directness if he did something wrong, didn't do well enough to meet a standard, wasn't mindful to the appropriate work or duties. For instance, how he wasn't aware of a door slamming close.
He should have been aware of his surroundings. He should have known the noise was coming. The chiding tone of his own voice took little mercy on berating him for everything he should have but didn't do including reacting faster to the medication thrown in her scare. He bent down near a white pill that had rolled close and observed the commonly distributed pill before walking closer to her with extended arm to return it.
"You should take them," he said, gaze lifting to meet hers. "They give them to us for a reason."
