Kol looked around in confusion before he realised his son must actually be talking to him. “Why.. no.. actually I don’t want to know. Yes and yes.”

she almost broke with him, the pain in his eyes reflecting back in her own. she didn’t want to leave him, or their children. she was thankful, however, for him not arguing with her on the matter. “ i love you. ” she said with a broken smile. “ kol, i don’t know if i can face the kids… ”

He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into tight embrace. “I love you too,” he said softly, hiding his face by resting his head on her shoulder. “I know I can’t.”

sat on the couch she was having a hard time keeping herself together, eventually reaching for his hand. “ he’s not worth it. ” she assured her husband, tears stinging pleading eyes. “ i don’t know if i can do this kol. ”

He wasn’t going to be the one to initiate contact, but he was thankful when she took his hand, and he gladly squeezed hers back. “Okay,” he wasn’t going to argue with Davina, not now. “You don’t have to,” he tried to sounds reassure but his voice cracked, his whole heart broke at the idea of loosing her. “You can choose not to transition.”

it didn’t sink in the second he said it but as she listened she felt the difference in herself. “ i-i’m dead. ” her chest tightened and she felt like she could barely breath. the memories of what happened flooding in at once, davina practically shuddering at the thought of the pain. “ it was a guy, he called himself an angel. ”

Kol frowned as he watched her begin to realize what had happened, but there was nothing he could do, Davina’s fate had been sealed before he even got to her. “I was hoping my blood would heal you,” he explained, though it was obvious now that he’d been too late. “I don’t care what he is, I’m going to tear his head off.”

hours had passed when her eyes shot open, quickly pushing herself into a sitting position her memory was groggy and her vision fuzzy. looking around she realised where she was, home. finally brown hues settled on a figure. “ k-kol ? what’s going on ? ”

Kol had stayed by her side vigilantly the entire time she was dead, waiting for her to inevitably awaken. “You drank my blood and then you died,” he said, cutting right to the chase. “What.. do you know what happened to you? I found you dying on the street.”

as she felt his features there was some comfort in knowing he was there. but as she swallowed the blood she felt her heartbeat begin to slow, her body ( exhausted ) falling into him. and with no fight left in her she felt herself let go.

Kol could hear her heartbeat as it slowed, he could only hope that it would regain it’s usual pace. Then it didn’t. Kol took a shaky breath and scooped Davina up off the ground, she’d died with his blood in her system, and he had to get her somewhere safe before she reawakened. He decided the home they’d once shared was the best place, and he swiftly made his way there, laying her out on the couch and waiting.

a trembling hand reached for his face, though with burned out eyes it was hard to locate. davina could feel herself slipping away, dying. face numb she didn’t feel his wrist against her lips but the command alerted her. she was hesitant but the longer she stalled the further and further she was fading away. one last surge of adrenaline kicked in, hands snaking around his wrist as she desperately drank his blood.

Which she reached for his face he leaned in, guiding his face to her out stretched hand. “I’m right here,” he said in a low voice. With his free hand he reached out to stroke her hair, the only idea he had to comfort her. “Davina, you don’t have to, but please,” Kol begged her, unable to contain his sheer desperation. He wouldn’t take her choice from her, he respected her far too much to do that, he could only pray that she would. Then when she finally did drink he let out a deep sigh of relief. “Thank you.”

“Davina?” Kol called out as he noticed the hunched figure resembling his wife in the alley. He ran to her, as he noticed the scorch marks in the alley and the broken glass in it’s windows. Then as he drew near he saw her injuries. Normally he would be more resistant to the idea of giving her , but in this dire scenario he didn’t feel he had another choice, so he bit into his wrist and pressed it against her mouth “Drink.”
