Crowley never had to look up to see the stars because he had his very own right beside him on earth.
But now he looks up to the sky, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
Because despite the millions of stars twinkling above, the light of his favorite one was all the way up in Heaven.
And it couldn't reach him.

Crowley never had to look up to see the stars because he always saw them shining in Aziraphale's eyes.
But now Aziraphale was back in Heaven, and looking up only made Crowley's vision blur with tears as the sky now felt as empty as his heart.
Just a kiss goodnight, maybe?
Everything Crowley had lost when he Fell, he found in Aziraphale.
Where he had lost his heavenly home, he found shelter under an angel's wings.
Where he had lost the ability to see his stars, he saw them every time he gazed into an angel's eyes.
And where he had lost God's love, he received abundant flashes of it every time an angel smiled his way.
Because yes, Crowley had Fallen for asking questions.
But in the end, he did find his answer.
The only answer he would ever need, in fact.
He found Aziraphale.
They have the power of love and homosexuality on their side
Crowley must have been so loved and adored back in Heaven when he was still an angel.
But then he Fell, and suddenly everybody hated him.
All except for one angel, whose love and adoration only grew for Crowley regardless of his now demonic status.
And in time, that angel would later win the affections and life-long devotion of the being he used to admire back in Heaven.
The angel who used to admire the stars now became the demon who admired the angel who shone brighter than all of them combined.
And he was gorgeous.

Something I find so interesting is how Crowley went from being a high-ranking angel in Heaven to being a literal icon in Hell as The Serpent of Eden. Not to mention, he was also offered the position of being a Duke of Hell, but he honestly couldn't care less about having those titles because his importance has never been rooted to what he is/used to be, but for what he stands for.
Crowley adored the beauty of creation and wanted people to appreciate it.
Crowley saw the potential of humanity and allowed them to venture and evolve beyond the garden's walls.
This mf is more powerful than we know, but we only ever see him demonstrate Big Miracle Energy when it's doing things he loves (creating stars and nebulae) or for the one he loves (stopping time, that 25 lazarii miracle, accidentally making a storm instead of a light downpour).
He could've literally been one of the most high-ranking demons in Hell with a killer reputation but he was like "nah i'mma just be some guy" and spends the majority of his time simping over a cute angel who he'd do anything for (he's so real for that actually).
God didn't cast Crowley out for asking questions.
She was simply guiding him towards the only answer he would ever need.
And that answer was Aziraphale.

Imagine yourself walking through a museum full of Aziraphale and Crowley's memories, your smile mirroring theirs as you reminisce their ineffable journey as if it had been your own. Eventually though, you get to the part where they separate, and you hesitate to continue walking. But then... Then you see her. You see Her. And she winks at you from the end of the hallway. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding as your smile returns to your face. You look back at the previous memories one more time, hearing the echoes of love ringing through the room, and you take another step forward.
Everything is going to be okay.
