Dating (Garden Variety) Finn Headcanons (Yuurivoice)
Playing with his hair is a given because it's so long and beautiful. I feel like this Finn enjoys braids and other hair styles but either can't do them on himself (same twin T-T) or (more realistically) lacks the time because he is always working on Talk Floral-related business.
Cuddles are non-negotiable whenever yall are together and in private. Finn really enjoys the physical part of a relationship because it assures him that he isn't alone anymore, even if it does fluster him at times.
I like to imagine that all the videos with Finn that occur in Talk Floral happen during Sunflower's lunch break because I feel like both Finn and Sunflower like to see each other as often as possible, but they are both very focused on work. As such, Finn is the type of person who likes to pack a lunch for his partner whenever he gets the chance. Of course, he loves to pack a special tea blend for them to try.
If his partner has a very physical job, then Finn would love to give them a massage whenever they are at his home. Most of the time, they are very sweet and quiet but sometimes Finn starts fretting especially if you had an injury scare. If the job is less physical or remote, Finn often invites you to go on walks after work just to get stretch your legs and get some fresh air. In the event of work drama, Finn is always willing to lend an ear over a nice cup of tea.
Tea makes up a big part of Finn's life, so you often make a lot of trips to the tea shop (where Finn spilled tea on you lol) and spend the time swapping stories about Finn with the grandmother there. Finn would also create a specific tea blend for his partner based on their preferences and often a fun pastime is simply tasting new blends.
In the event that you don't particularly like tea, Finn wouldn't be pushy about getting you to try some or condescending about it. However, if his partner was dismissive about his tastes in tea, hobby of creating and trying new blends, and/or constantly talking him down about it, then I can't see the relationship lasting because it's something that brings him a lot of joy. This also extends to his passion regarding flowers and his practice of the craft, so Finn would prefer a partner that is open to different perspectives.
- As expected, gardening is a common method Finn uses to spend time with his partner. While it may not be the best activity for extensive conversation or physical touch, I feel like Finn really enjoys the concept of creating something beautiful and fruitful with someone else. While Finn enjoys gardening itself, its the additional factor that that he has someone who cares enough about him to share the labor that he adores. Also, Finn's habit of speaking to the plants will eventually rub off on you.
In the same vein, Finn enjoys the domesticity of having his partner in his space, especially when they are cooking or baking together. While Finn is someone who is easily flustered and nervous in a lot of things, it is wonderful to see how relaxed and confident he is when it comes to things connected to his interests such as baking. During these instances, Finn becomes bolder, especially if his partner is less experienced with a specific recipe, so I can see him randomly stealing kisses while measuring ingredients or grabbing your hands to "show" you how to knead dough.
This man loves to stare adoringly at his partner, and he gets flustered if they do the same to him. If you have heard that TikTok audio that's like "Blah blah blah, proper name, backstory stuff…", then that's basically Finn whenever his partner is doing anything. He truly worships the ground you walk on.
While its easy to make Finn flush, the man isn't as inept at flirting as he can seem. You could be giggling at Finn because he blushed after accidently saying an innuendo, but then he will whisper something so filthy and flirty into your ear that you feel your face burn before kissing your cheek. Sometimes, Finn completely flips the script by initiating make out sessions and randomly pulling you into his lap. After this passes, however, he is very blushy and reverts back to his semi-awkward self.
Jake thought about when was the last time he enjoyed watching a movie or series, when was the last time he laughed with his friends or simply read peacefully in his bed, his room, the place he once called home
Although he knows that he chose solitude, he doesn't remember exactly when he felt that way, when he completely isolated himself—perhaps after a year? Or was it simply easy for him because he was used to not being alone? Without a family?
Of course, he liked hacking and security, but now he was like a machine, he had no life, he only survived to survive, but how long could he stay like this? The days passed, the months turned into years, and he thought there was nothing left but him and the computer.
And on a sinister day for him, she appeared. He might have been worried about his sister, but meeting MC was like a ray of light, a small hope of being himself again and having found someone who cared about him and wanted to give him all the love he could never give.
In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
It's incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it's a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won't need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.
⏖ sorry for the short, and late post, im busy with school :(
Elliott is often the big spoon.
He loves how your form would mold against the hard planes of his chest.
He’d gently push your face snug against him, and wrap his strong arms around your waist while tracing lazy circles on your back.
He’d do this until you’d fall asleep.
And when you’d wake up, you’ll feel the bright morning sun kiss your skin along with Elliott’s soft lips peppering your neck.
It was sweet hearing his sultry, deep voice whisper into your ears.
“Good morning,” is the first words that enter your ears.
Elliott always wakes up before you.
He’ll prepare you a wooden tray on your bed breakfast, your favourite tea or coffee, and a sweet kiss on your cheek.
Sometimes you two would prepare breakfast together.
Those times were fun, and comforting.
He’ll make your usual bacon, and eggs, and position them into a smile—the sunny side ups made as the eyes, and the bacon curved into a crisp, lop-sided smile.
But if the both of you decide it’s a lazy morning, he’d push you against the mattress, and insist you shouldn’t leave him in this lonely, big bed.
Lazy mornings for Elliott is when he’s too tired, and groggy to get up, and make breakfast.
He wants to stay, and be with you under the sheets.
Maybe he’ll be willing to share a heated kiss with you beneath the covers.
He’ll intertwine his hands with yours, and kiss you until you’re breathless, and panting for more.
His sleepy kisses are slow, but pleasurable.
It’s like you were already having breakfast.
Your cheeks would burn, and your heart will flutter from abashment when he pulls away from the kiss just to tell you a recited poem.

-Also shoutout to that one ending when he brings you to your dream spot vacation

Mother’s day had already passed and im sure venti would prepare a celebration for his dearest darling. The pain of having to carry your baby for nine months and still looking like a goddess? That deserves endless praise and at least three days of pampering, minimum.
This would be his wifey appreciation time and venti would go all out. He’d write a whole ballad dedicated to how beautiful you are, perform it right outside your window at dawn, and then burst in with breakfast (a little burnt bcs of how excited he was, but still made with love). He’s so sappy and dorky, but he’s your dorky bard <33
Venti would even invite dvalin to help him with the decorations. Giant windblume garlands hanging outside of the tower, floating lanterns at the archway of the sanctuary’s entrance, and glittering wind currents so you can walk easily without trouble.
And don’t be surprised if he cries mid-speech, hugging your belly and mumbling about how lucky he is to witness this miracle.
Then it clicked for him.
How about making a new festival in Mondstadt dedicated entirely to his beloved wife?
Oh, archons, the idea alone made his heart flutter like crazy.
A whole day— or better yet— a whole week where the city would celebrate the anemo archon’s kind, beautiful, charming, and smart wife.
And if his people ever dared to set up a statue of you somewhere in the city, venti would be camping there 24/7. Rain, wind, sun, it doesnt matter. That statue would become his second home. Ofc he still prefers staying with you and keeping you close to him.
Ugh, why didn’t they built it on their sanctuary? Venti’s grumbling, debating to himself if he should carry your giant statue to your home and let his people build another one at the giant empty space in windrise.
If there was even a minor lack of attention to detail to your statue, venti would completely lose his mind. Your eyes didn’t quite twinkle like they do in real life or the smile wasn’t tilted just right? He’d be climbing up ladders with brushes and tools, muttering under his breath.
“No, no, no… her nose is way cuter than this,” and “She has exactly three strands of hair that curl this way, how dare they forget?”
After all, if mondstadt was going to worship the goddess of his heart, they were going to do it right until they’ve received the anemo archon’s approval.
Next time, they should build a statue of you and venti together. And they should make it perfect.

Inspired by Dressing for your Job post by @Starfata I made some of my interpretations of what the different domains as represented by the Athenide would look like/how she was described and how the different iterations evolved and were perceived in modern times.
I may have gotten a little carried away so this ended up waaay longer than I orignally intended to. Oops. Enjoy!

”The Polias Athenide, also known as Athenide of the City was often represented as a woman in her mid twenties or so. Her most frequent depiction in Athens as it is the city most often attributed as the city of her birth. She is often depicted standing upright with flowing robes and ornate jewelry. Thought to signify the luxury and sophistication of Athens. Most frescos or other artwork as the Polias Athenide in gold and blue robes. Again a signification of luxury and nobility. Almost all surviving depictions of the Polias Athenide contains some form of olives in jewelry or embroidery. Most often the olive leaves and fruits are arranged as a crown on her head in place of diadems or other headpieces. These are implications regarding the tale of her birth within Athens attributed to the Fountain and Olive mythos. Her hair is often shown to be unbound, signalling her eternal unwed status.
Scholarly debates often clash on if the Polias Athenide is intended to be represented as an eternal maiden as Athena is so often depicted as or as a woman who while not rejecting marriage, pursues other interests in place of a husband.
The Polias Athenide was thought to be worshipped as the representation of Loyalty to the Masses or the Union. Or the Loyalty born of patriotism. You may have seen modern depictions of this goddess in your local government buildings along with the goddesses of Justice and Freedom.”
“The Kourotrophos Athenide is one of the most enduring depictions of this goddess. Called Athenide of the Children. She is the representation of the care and maternal nature of the Athenide. This depiction is often veiled and wears simple jewlery; typically shells or stone beads. Leaf or otter embroidery is included in her clothing if there is any embroidery at all as she is often humbly or modestly dressed in blue and white. She is often depicted as a nurturing guide to demigod children or orphans. She was worshipped as the goddess of orphans and the representation of the Loyalty found between family members.
Interestingly, in ancient history as Rome was embracing the ideals of christianity; Though the Roman empire forbade any ostentatious worship of any form of the Athenide, the early christians would often find and worship this form of the Athenide. Many renaissance artists utilitized imagery of the Kourotrophos Athenide for inspiration of the Holy Virgin Mother Mary.
This is the depiction of the Athenide considered the adoptive mother of Dionysus (God of Wine, Madness, and Theater) and the goddess who carried and birthed the god Asclepius (God of Medicine and Healing) via c-section. She is considered the Patron goddess of adoption and surrogacy. Modern fertility clinics, adoption agencies, and maternity wards will have artwork or symbolism of this depiction.”
“The Nymphia Athenide or the Bride Athenide is often spoken of in relation to the well-known mythos ‘The Raven and the Owl’ or ‘The Bird Race’ or in relation to the romantic but unfulfilled desires of Apollo and the other gods whom wanted to pursue the Athenide but were stopped.
She is the most ornate of all the depictions of the Athenide. Often found in bright colors and veiled in a golden or orange bridal veil with flowers or gems. Usually seen as a girl in her early to late teens and often shown looking behind herself or over the shoulder. As though she waiting for someone to arrive. The eternal bride waiting for her bridegoom.
This is the Athenide depiction often seen in artwork together with Apollo (God of the Sun, Archery, and The Arts). She is the depiction of Loyalty between romantic partners and was often invoked by young engaged couples or brides before their wedding for successful unions.
She is the depiction of the Athenide often found in television, movie, or book adaptations.”
“The Euploia Athenide or Athenide of Good Sailing is the most frequently seen as a child. A young girl often holding or wearing a net. She is thought of to be a companion or associated with Hermes in psychopomp duties as she is the goddess who delivers those lost at see to the Underworld.
Typically shown wearing blue or green clothes and simple jewelry. Some depictions show her with the wings of an albatross or albatross feathers on her clothing. This Athenide is less commonly also shown with seals as well in her clothing or artwork.
She is the goddess to whom sailors pray to for a safe journey. Often presenting her with humble offerings of small toys or handmade items made during a successful journey.
She is the depiction of Loyalty between crew members or sailors and the sea.
Modern depictions of the Euploia can be found at Marina’s, Lighthouses, and notably the depiction of the Euploia was adopted by the U.S Navy on July 14th, 1887 and is used in many ship, squadron, or unit emblems along with the traditional tridents, anchors and other sea imagery.
Interestingly, the Euploia imagery was a pivotal morale upheaval in WW2 when the American 4th class ship ‘The Euploia’ was used in routing German occupation from Grecian waters with British naval support and the Greek Resistance movement within the coastal cities.”
“The Areia Athenide or Warlike Athenide was most often worshipped in Sparta. Often depicted as a athletic woman in her late teens to early twenties. Often shown in bright reds and orange there is very little oceanic imagery included in depictions of this Athenide. She is shown with a lifted helm much like Athena with a spear, sword, or occasionally a Trident in her hand.
Interestingly, most depictions of this Athenide show her holding weaponry in her Left hand as opposed to her right as with other war deities imagery. Debates are ongoing regarding the implications of the hand placement of her weaponry.
The Athenide’s net (often seen with the depiction of the Euploia Athenide) can also be seen with this depiction. Often subtly placed on her hip or draped across her shoulders. Uniquely, this Athenide is shown exclusively with fox imagery. Not sharing the albatross, otter, or seal imagery with the other Athenides.
This is the Athenide representive of the Loyalty between Soldiers or the Protection of Soldiers to the People.
Often called a protector of women she often has bay laurels or scattered laurel leaves in her imagery. Invoking the mythos of Daphne, the nymph who shielded her from unwanted advances and was turned into a Laurel tree.
During the Roman Empire this Athenide depiction was known as the goddess ‘Fides’ and was considered the wife, companion, or bride of Mars. She was often the patron of the ‘homeguard’ who defended roman cities and citizens while the main roman army expanded territories throughout Europe.
During the reign of Emperor Caligula (Ruled 37-41 AD), he attempted to declare a national ‘wedding feast’ between himself and Fides to the ire and rebellion of many roman cities states. And the many riots and rebellions led to him declaring war on his ‘father-in-law’ Neptune for ‘refusing to give him his wife’ and waging war against the sea itself. This is considered one of the many examples of mental illness during Caligula’s rule. After which the Roman empire seemed to regard Fides as a source of rebellion within the general public and subsequent emperors tended to harshly condemn the worship of Fides and preferring to instill. ‘Loyalty to the State’ dogma in it’s place.
You may have noticed depictions of this Athenide in modern military bases, army offices, and women’s shelters.”
Here’s all the depictions together! I couldn’t decide on a background. Each of them has the signature silver hair streaks but some are more obvious then the others. Which one is your favorite?

“Public libraries are such important, lovely places!” Yes but do you GO there. Do you STUDY there. Do you meet friends and get coffee there. Do you borrow the FREE, ZERO SUBSCRIPTION, ZERO TRACKING books, audiobooks, ebooks, and films. Have you checked out their events and schemes. Do you sign up for the low cost courses in ASL or knitting or programming or writing your CV that they probably run. Do you know they probably have myriad of schemes to help low income families. Do you hire their low cost rooms if you need them. Have you joined their social groups. Do you use the FREE COMPUTERS. Do you even know what your library is trying to offer you. Listen, the library shouldn’t just exist for you as a nice idea. That’s why more libraries shut every year
I know she most likely knew exactly what was going on, but the idea of Penelope being blissfully unaware and unbothered inside her room minding her business was just too funny not to share
