Her presence had been sought out by a humble village that neighbored the one she used to call home, the revered priestess accepting the proposition given to her, assuring the townsfolk there would be no need to worry–she would deal with the demons that came to torment them under the cloak of darkness, much to their relief.

Though it was all well and good of her to assist such a feeble village, there had been another reason which brought the fair skinned priestess this way. Her trained mind had sensed if from great distances and upon her arrival, Kikyo’s notion had been confirmed as the town’s spokesperson presented her with a mauve slivered fragment. A Sacred Jewel shard… It was no wonder that they had been plagued by demons but under her close care, the fragment would remain pure and safe–as would the village.

Under a veil of darkness she took her watch, assuring the villagers to remain inside while she rid them of their worries, arrows plentiful and bow ready. It was almost stifling, the surge of wickedness that approached, a hoard of demons making their way towards the area, their cries striking fear in all but her.

“…”

An arrow was notched and launched with a swift, graceful motion, a trail of pure light on its tail as it infiltrated the mass, a pool of demons vanished by its power. Kikyo raising another arrow before realizing she had been had–this front had been just a decoy, a shrill cry of a child coming from a hut as the village fell under attack from another swarm.

     Wait a minute—I know this scent. What the hell is Kikyou of all people doing around here? Don’t tell me she’s in the middle of this mess! 

     He can smell plenty of them now, not one or two, but hordes of demons launching a vicious attack on the neighboring village. Dammit, how fucking annoying, they must be hounding desperately over a jewel shard and if that’s the case, then he has EVERY right to intervene. Inuyasha refuses to let this to slip from his grasp. If they destroy this village, then ours is done for. I won’t let it happen! 

     And he won’t allow Kikyou to be destroyed in the process; he’s certainly not doubting her abilities, but even she possesses her limits. He soon emerges from the emerald brush, catching sight of the priestess’ effortless obliteration of countless demons heading directly for her. Good, but it seems the real problem is hovering over the village itself! 

     It’s a ridiculous storm, masses of dark auras and shades reigning the air above their heads. His dominant hand gives a slight twitch, knowing he could easily unsheathe Tessaiga and eradicate the descending horde, but not without destroying the village in the process. Opting for his most reliable second method, Inuyasha propels himself into a will-driven sprint, fingers tensing in their flesh craving curl. 

                                   “IRON REAVER—

                                             SOUL STEALER...!”

     Stretching his demonic aura beyond his talons, Inuyasha pushes himself to slice up all youkai on the lower levels of the horde. He hopes Kikyou can read his movements without verbal communication, because he’ll need her to wipe them out as soon as he’s gathered them all in one place, out of the village’s range.

"Ne Inuyasha," she said softly as she threw more sticks into the flames. "How long do you think the others will be gone? Its been a while.." she added. Sango had recently gone back to her home village, Miroku joining her and Shippo was off doing his fox training. She missed them when they were away...but actually as much as she loved and missed them she was more wanting to know so she'd know how long she had alone time with her companion.

“Keh, who knows?”

     Don’t mistake him, of course he’s concerned for the well-being of their friends, despite it being hidden from his visage, but the hanyou is confident nothing terrible has happened to any of them—his gut would tell him otherwise. Sitting up from his reclined position, the hanyou crosses his legs and slips his hands into the gaping sleeves of his haori. He’s left little space between himself and the priestess, comforted by the warmth and familiar scent emanating from her body.

     And as usual, he desires to know what’s reeling in her ever active mind, peeking in her direction from the corner of his saffron hues. 

“What? Ya’ gettin’ bored with me or somethin’?” He would have difficulty admitting this to her ear, but Inuyasha is enjoying their time alone. Nothing is tense, they’re not arguing and she’s safe, he couldn’t be more pleased.

⌚ Is it easier for you to write as canon characters or OCs?

Would you believe that I’ve spent years roleplaying OCs? I did on Twitter, so I have a liiiittle experience portraying originals and canon characters. I love doing both, but for me, it’s actually easier to roleplay canon characters. It’s like the guideline of how to roleplay that character is already handed to you, it’s just up to you to accurately bring that character to life. 

For this muse in particular, I’ve been portraying him for so long that my depiction is actually a little ah, matured. He’s not as aggressive as a partner would probably expect unless he’s been threatened ic.

It’s also easier to write canon characters because it’s rough as hell bringing an original character to life. You’re literally starting from scratch and as the writer, it’s your responsibility to make sure that the character is successful and can handle his/her own in a world of canon characters. In my experience, I’ve found it easier to roleplay an OC on Twitter than it is on Tumblr though, roleplayers don’t fucking play on this site when it comes to OCs and I love it.

♋What drew you to this muse?

Oh my goooood. So, like a lot of people here, I grew up watching InuYasha. But, that’s not what actually drew me to roleplay him. Back in 2009, I was still a noobish chat roleplayer in another fandom, but I wanted to see if I could find an active InuYasha fandom on Twitter. So I searched and I couldn’t find any active accounts and all the Inuyasha accounts were horrible. So I decided to give it a try and turns out, it was something I was really good at (now that account has like 5,000+ followers and it’s retired, ha). I actually inspired a revival of the Inuyasha roleplay fandom on Twitter and had an exclusive group of my own, but I had to move on! Now I’m back to roleplaying this muse because I missed him, but I decided to move onto Tumblr and roleplay lowkey. It’s nice being a nobody, aha.

☢ How many active muses do you have?

That count is steadily climbing, love. Ah, I have a Mikasa Ackerman, Sesshoumaru, Petra Ral, Kagome Higurashi, Sango, a modern OC named Hideki, and I’m thinking about making a Kohaku for the IY fandom.

☠ Who is a muse you would want to play?

Kouga. o.o I’ve done it before, but there are already so many fabulous Kouga’s so I’m just like, ‘Meh’.

 ☤ What do you have in common with your muse?

I accidentally adopted Inuyasha’s habit of saying “Tch” when I find something ridiculous. This is what happens when you roleplay a muse for so long, aha.
