Reworking the design of the 'Laurel Abode' staircase in the extension allowed us to include a custom wine cellar that holds 330 bottles – an item near the top of the owner's wish list. "With no space to store our collection pre-renovation, we used to ship it off to a managed seller," says the client to @houseandgarden. "But with the new cellar, we were able to bring it all back home. We love nothing more than sharing a beautiful bottle with friends." The cellar resides in the home's contemporary back living zone, together with the new kitchen, butler's pantry, and living and dining space.
