☼ Welcome in! This blog was made to keep track of my journey and progress as I discover myself through this faith. I consider myself to be a casual, laidback hellenic polytheist/pagan (subject to change as I am not that big on many labels).

Whatever relationship someone has with the divine is their business. If it doesn't affect you, leave it be. Even if it does somehow affect you, I would still encourage you to leave it be. No one can speak for the gods, and no one can say, with certainty, that someone's connection to the divine is "wrong". Agree to disagree, if you really feel the need to argue about the validity of someone's worship.

i was originally doing this back when i first started this blog and it stuck as a habit lol my bad

to my fellow pagans— you do not need to be in total control of your spiritual path. it’s allowed to be spontaneous and intuitive. if the idea of relying on a schedule is holding you back/dampening your practice then just… don’t have a schedule. nobody is mad at you. do not beat yourself up over keeping things balanced and even between the deities because they simply won’t be. these are ancient cosmic spirits and not children, so you don’t have to worry about not playing favorites. worship according to your lifestyle, needs, desires, intuition, and don’t cling too hard to one single idea of what you want your practice to look like.

It's so rough being the only Hellenic Polytheist (and even pagan) in the area (that I know of). Back where I used to live, I was surrounded with a lot more like-minded people, but now, I've got people looking at me like a weirdo and thinking, for whatever reason, that they can make disrespectful jokes about the gods and that I'll laugh. It's very frustrating. 💀

To anyone else out there who's the only person worshipping the gods in your area, you're not alone. I'm proud of you for persevering! I believe in you, and may the gods walk beside you throughout your journey. 🧡

i might be nearing my one-year anniversary of the beginning of my helpol practice but gods above, i will never lose the habit of saying “ان شاء الله” or “حمدالله” in the most mountain-lebanese accent you can possibly think of.

I think it's important that you're happy and comfortable with your religion and practice, whether you syncretise or don't syncretise, whether you eat food offerings or don't eat food offerings, whether you worship or you work with, whether you have a romantic relationship with a deity or a sexual one (as long as you're not a child of course) or a familial one or a platonic one or a casual one or a formal one or something in between or outside of that, whether you write formal and structured prayers or spontaneous short ones, whether you do this or that or are this or that, I think you're important and you belong.
