Coffee Shop || Open Para
Jesse took the movement of her coffee as a signal for him to sit down across from her, which he happily did. He ducked his head under the strap of his bag and set it beside him. He had come to get some homework done, but that could always wait. He’d much rather talk to Winona anyways. He plopped down in the seat and leaned back, taking a sip of the coffee and smiled at her.
He hadn’t expected someone he knew to know about this shop, but he was actually rather happy to have run into Winona here. He had wanted to get to know the girl a little more after having a converstation and thought this as the perfect opportunity. He watched her in silence as her gaze wandered around the shop, not wanted to interrupt her thoughts.
He was looking down at his coffee and hands when she spoke. His head shot up and her words registered in her mind. “Oh! No…well yes, actually. I have a paper due for AP English at the end of the week, though I have some time so no worries.” He gave her a lopsided smile and leaned forward a little.
Winona giggled slightly at the boy, thinking to herself what the odds were he knew of this place too. Considering the shop was almost always empty when she was there, she figured no one from school would be familiar with it. She took another sip of her coffee and leaned back in her chair.
She ran her fingers through her hair, "You take AP English?" She nodded, clearly impressed. "I've never been one for school." She giggled a bit, and looked down at her coffee cup.
