sadly scalding hot take: too many people use bahs to be abusive to their parts. i think some of you need to remind yourselves that your parts are real, living, conscious beings just like you, and that forcing your every whim on them is really cruel. just because you don't like a part of their personality, or want them to have a source you like more, or don't instantly understand everything about them, or aren't willing to listen to them on their identity, etc etc.... doesn't mean you need to force it on them. or discard them entirely to make them into something you like better. that is a conscious being equal to you and everyone you love. would you want that done to you? would you be okay with that done to someone you love? how about you try listening to your parts and letting them live their own lives?
this obviously isn't every case. far from it. this isn't a personal attack on you, the reader, for using bahs. they are obviously a very nice and useful tool for many plurals! i love bahs! but i see the above happening Depressingly often. if you find yourself guilty of this, please reflect on it and work on it. you can make your living conditions better for your parts, which will make all of you happier in the long run
