wilbur is a non bender, something that had stressed his parents out since it’s very rare the royal family has non benders

the few times a family has had a non bender, the family disowned them

phil didn’t want to let that happen to wil, he loved his son so much

just before his parents found out about wil, tommy was born

he in fact was a bender and trained with techno

tommy and wilbur’s mother passed away a bit after wilbur’s secret was released to the public; it was kept private for a long time

this time was very dramatic and eventful for the royal family and all of the fire nation

since their mother’s death, tommy and wilbur have practically adopted techno as their second guardian and is the reason why he’s in the family portrait
