changes i've made to my vigilante dr.

note: i'm not really a big fan of the mcu. a lot of the changes made are based off of the comics, personal fanon, and some video games.

the timeline is similar to daredevil: born again, with a few tweaks.

the avengers don't exist, and everything is relatively street level. (i cannot bring myself to care about them, i'm so sorry. i also don't wanna deal with aliens and shit. like tf do you want me to do about that? i'm a teenager in a spider suit.)

peter parker isn't spider-man! i scripted this because i like the idea of being the only spider-person cause i'm stingy.

^ on that note, peter's uncle ben and aunt may are still alive. i just couldn't leave my boy parentless TWICE like that.

foggy nelson is still alive. (spoilers for ddba.. whoops.)

years ago, elektra natchios was killed by bullseye, and not the hand. (there are many- and i mean MANY comic runs in which elektra dies, but i based this one off of the frank miller run. maybe she gets resurrected.. idk)

as a result of elektra's death, daredevil pushes bullseye off a high ledge in a fit of rage. ashamed, believing that he killed bullseye, he quits vigilantism and leaves his life as matt murdock behind to become a priest upstate. (crazy. ik. we're gonna get him back i swear).

frank castle was "caught" and was given multiple life sentences at riker's island. (we're gonna break him out i promise y'all)

rachel cole-alves plays an important role in frank castle's story, and is frank castle's protege.

hector ayala is alive, but he is not the white tiger. (the white tiger is instead my super duper cool older cousin @wintersfalcvns!!)

vigilantism/heroism is actually effective and causes an important impact in the world socially, politically, culturally, and environmentally.

wilson fisk is the mayor of new york, but is currently under fire and scrutiny as he is under suspicion for criminal activity and cooperation with organized crime.

how shifting actually feels

from an experienced shifter

— many people have experienced symptoms when trying to shift, however not everyone does! when i had began my shifting journey, i used to always get symptoms, but now it’s very rare that i do. maybe i’ve become so used to it that it doesn’t correlate, or maybe it just comes that natural to me, either way i still shift. don’t give up because you can’t feel any symptoms, everyone is different.

— the first shift isn’t shocking. you ‘wake up’ and it feels natural. there’s no confusion, maybe a calm acknowledgement but that’s it. you won’t need a minute to compose yourself, or get so overwhelmed you can’t speak. you will remember all the events before you shifted, and it will feel like a natural continuation.

— when your dr self’s memories come rushing in, it isn’t that noticeable. it takes a split second for your memories to, let’s say, ‘update’. you don’t realise until you have to recall something, like remembering where your keys are or the password to your phone.

— doing things in your dr that you do not do in your cr comes naturally. for example, if you are an f1 driver in your dr, you will still know what you are doing. your brain holds the information you need.

— you are not the main character. istg if someone acts as if the whole world revolves around them in their dr one more time i will actually lose it. every single person in your dr has their own lives, their own feelings, etc. just like your cr. you are not special.
