Star Detective Precure EP 25 rambles

So I watched the latest episode of Star detective and man was that a great episode! There was so much action and of course this was the a very highly anticipated episode as it finally revealed that Cure Eclair is Kurea Howa.

Honestly it was in our faces from the start I mean who would suspect that the girl who works in a bakery would be the cure named after a desert. Though I wanted it to be Eriza because she's very endearing or Rei because she really grew on me and the bond she has with Pochitan is very sweet. Had this been any other pretty cure series Rei definitely would have become a Pretty Cure.

Truthfully I would have been happy with any of the girls being Cure Eclair since I like them all.

Also Usonoir being a cute little puppy fairy took me by surprise. I mean I figured he'd be a fairy especially since Jett stated in an earlier episode that all the phantom thieves were fairies of course that would have expanded to Usonoir I just didn't expect him to be so cute. Him keeping his deep voice is hilarious I just couldn't take him serious...until he turned into a giant wolf about to destroy the world.

I do quite like the theory that the other phantom thieves will become the fairy partners of the other three girls at the end of the series. I don't know if it'll happen but it would be really cool if it does.

The scene where Kurea regains her memories was really beautiful it gave me Cure Moonlight vibes when she became a pretty cure again. Her standing there with her Makoto Jewel clenched in her fist and the blue light emitting from it was just awesome.

Also my theory of Eriza being Shushutan went out the window when she revealed herself to be Kurea's scrunchy. I hope the other girls have an important part other than being the Eclair candidates.

The fight between the star detectives + Arcana Shadow and the Phantom thieves was awesome. There had kind of been a lack of physical fights between the Pretty Cures and the generals and I'm glad to see that they're doing it again. I hope we get more scenes like that in not just this season but in future seasons as well.

Also I feel like there's something going on with Nijee, while Ageseine and Goemon are happy to help Usonoir in his goals going as far as to encourage and praise him when ever he gets the upper hand Nijee just...doesn't seem that thrilled. He was even the first one to speak up against Usonoir going out to face the Answer and Mystique in episode 15.

So I wonder is Nijee also playing double agent? When ever he loses he doesn't seem too upset compared to Ageseine and Goemon but I think he mostly just enjoys challenging the Pretty Cures.

But jumping to Luluka, when Kurea appeared with her Makoto jewel and memories it didn't seem like she was happy. Actually that's an understatement she looked completely unhappy.

You would think that Luluka would be happy to see her best friend with her recovered memories since when Usonoir revealed that he had stolen Eclair's Makoto jewel she seemed angered and shocked that he was using her M.J against her. I assumed that the reason she joined the P.T's was to reclaim the jewel back from Usonoir and return it to Kurea in order to cure her amnesia.

So that leads me to two conclusions.

A. Luluka never intended to give the jewel back to Kurea and by extension keep her from remembering her time as a Pretty Cure. Perhaps during the fight when Usonoir attempted to steal the giant M.J Kurea got really injured while shattering the jewel's original form. In the flashback Luluka didn't look to be in good shape so after the fight she begun to believe that it was better to have her stay away from the conflict

Someone pointed out that Anna and Mikaru's plan of using the Top Lily perfume to jog Eclair's memories is a fairly simple plan and Luluka has shown us time and time again that she is very good at deducting a situation and overall is just really smart so there's no way that Luluka wouldn't have come up with the idea as well. Which ties into perhaps Luluka never wanted Kurea to recover her memories in order to protect her. Another thing that points to that maybe being the case is a voice line in one of the toys being: "I would do anything for Eclair" so she would so anything to protect Kurea's wellbeing even if it meant sacrificing their friendship and Kurea's memories of it.

or B. She can't bring herself to face Kurea after everything she's done. It might have been easier before because Kurea didn't have her memories of being a Pretty Cure or of her friendship with her but now with her memories recovered Luluka is going to have to deal with the consequences of her actions of helping Uso Noir and the phantom theive's stealing peoples precious belonging even if she was half assing and the end goal was to recover Kurea's Makoto Jewel and her intentions were steaped in good.

We don't know at this point until Luluka reveals it herself or if the star detectives find out the truth and I don't think Luluka will reveal it herself as Eclair is supposed to join the team before S.Arcana. I believe Luluka might end up getting captured by Usonoir/ the phantom thieves at the end of next episode.

Since Eclair reclaimed both her memories and her makoto jewel Luluka really doesn't have any other reason to continue working with the Phantom thieves after this episode so either some other force keeps her from joining the others or a new villain appears and ends up taking her since it's being teased that a new main antagonist is going to be appearing soon if next episode is the end for Usonoir.

And since the head writer wrote Maho Girls and that season had a new set of villains join the show it wouldn't be surprising to me.

And that was my two cents on the new episode of SDPC. This was a really awesome episode and I genuinely can't wait to see what happens next and where the season goes moving forward.

Funny observation I have. So Star Detective seems like a semi-Go princess reunion lol.

Heres what I mean: Luluka's voice actress voiced Pafu Usonoir's voice actor voiced Shut And Shushutan's voice actress is the singer of the opening Miracle Go! Princess Pretty Cure

Another fun fact Ageseine's voice actress voiced Lance in Doki Doki

When Yuu goes home but facetime works somehow

The first years: Today we're having a sleepover with our long distance friend!

Just a fun question but what disney movies would you want to see get an event.

The ones I would love to see are:

-Monsters Inc this one feels like a halloween event, I even saw someone on reddit say that maybe Waternoose would try to use the boys+yuu as batteries thinking that their screams could produce more power. The characters I could see getting SSR cards are: Malleus, Floyd, Lilia

-Toy Story, this would probably be a lost in the books event, not too sure how an event like this could play out though, characters I can see getting an SSR card are: Ortho, Silver and maybe Deuce?

A Coco event for Halloween that would be really awesome! This would probably be another lost in the books event, characters I can see getting a SSR card are: Jack, Malleus and maybe Kalim

Luca would be another awesome event to have I can see all the octavinelle boys getting a card.

This one would probably never happen but a Hole's themed event would be awesome, the boys I could see getting cards are: Ace, Floyd and Leona

Another one I would love to see is Lady and the tramp event but honestly I would much rather get characters based on Lady and Tramp like how we got characters like Fellow, Rollo, Skully ect.

An Emperors new groove event sound like a lot of fun!

The same with a ratatouille event I can see Trey, Jamil and Lilia getting cards in this event.

I just saw that they're removing Valko from the game and not going to continue development on him. I'm sorry What?!

And they're not going to add any more love interests and are going to just focus on the five love interests that we have. That's actually crazy I was really looking forward towards Valko

Ok I know there had been discourse about his sudden annoucment with some fans upset/worried due to there a lack of focus on Sylus and Caleb and just story drought when it came to them. But I don't believe removing Valko is the right way to go.

Not to mention that there had been racist remarks that some fans had been making towards black woman saying that they only made Valko to please black women and such.

It's just really disapointing to see that Infold decided to go in this direction. The company clearly is only catering to the Chinese player base because there were lots of people in the west looking forward to Valko's release not to mention that it's only a week till his release and to go back on it is ridiculous and feels like a slap in the face.

Which brings up another problem that gacha games have had. It's catering to the Chinese player base and only the Chinese player base. This isn't just a Love and Deepspace issue games like Genshin have also catered to Chinese players and ignored international players. I understand that the games originate from china but if you aren't going to take into accord the fact that your game is played outside the country then why even release it oversease.

-Riddle was collaring everyone in Heartslaybul

-Ruggie was incapacitating people from other dorms just to win a game (With Leona backing him up)

-Azul had half the school enslaved AND has blackmail on Crowley

-I'm not even about to get into the twins

-And Jamil held Yuu and Grim hostage in Scarabia while mind controling Kalim and attempted to mind control Azul

The students in NRC are surprised seeing you bust out magic seemingly out of thin air— even though they have told that you were magic-less, and I mean it is right in some way but do you think you cared for labels? Nonetheless you had to gaslight and make people think it wasn't you who busted out magic because it was either that or people bothering you and having to explain to them the magic system of your dimension.

I like to think that Grim was the first one to find out about this; When he saw you fixing the cracks and cleaning up the Ramshackle with your spells. He was really intrigued but tried to play it off, but when you bust out something cool with your spells best believe he's gonna gawk— especially if you show off your original spell to him. Also food for thought, you try to make things more bearable to him using your spells like: making his blanket warmer because he keeps complaining about how cold your room gets when you're sleeping, etc. He knows it's you because the drawn spells catch his eyes every time.

Ace and Duece would also find out accidentally. I would imagine you're just doing something mundane and practicing with spells with Grim on the sidelines gawking and you explaining what it does in the living room. Then they'd walk in with you drawing a spell when boom! The thing you drew lit up and let out fireworks. They'd be so amazed because what?? The magic-less prefect can do magic?? You ended up explaining your version of magic to them while demonstrating it. Ace definitely asked you to teach him how to draw spells to use for pranks. Did he succeed? No, but that doesn't mean he'll stop bothering you. Meanwhile Duece would just admire the magic and ask questions from time to time.

Imagine teaching the Aduece duo how to fly with sylph shoes. Duece would get slammed into multiple walls and floors while doing it and Ace would laugh at him because of it. However Ace isn't any better, Ace would flip mid air and would accidentally launch himself too high— you had to save him multiple times because his screaming was ear piercing. You, Grim and Duece never let him live that down.

On that topic of teaching people how to fly. Teaching Kalim how to fly using the sylph shoes you drew for him would be a chaotic experience for you. This man is sunshine reincarnated, he would be so enthusiastic about this that he will sustain injuries, and he will laugh it off. He'd be similar to Ace and would flip and blast too far to the ground, the only difference is that he's laughing and having a good time even though this is literally his first time and he would most likely crash if not for your perceptive ass saving him so many times. Jamil ended up cursing at you because now he has a flying Kalim to take care of. You ended up banning Kalim from the sylph shoes because of Jamil's constant grumbling. (sorry Kalim)

To make up for your mistake of teaching Kalim how to fly, you ended up drawing some practical spells for Jamil to make cooking and his daily life more bearable. He begrudgingly thanked you, so now whenever your spell gets smudged he would ask you to redraw it— you don't know how he knew that the spells were drawn but he doesn't push you for answers so... You just go with the flow.

I would imagine that your sylph shoes would often get smudged so you would redraw them atleast twice a month and test them dead at night while everyone is sleeping. Unfortunately, Malleus walked in on you testing out your sylph shoes and would stare at you with confusion but also amusement. When you came down he shot you a million questions and instead of having a twenty minute conversation, you two lost track of time and ended up going on and on about your magic system back home for five hours. It was worth it though because now you have a fae suggesting various spells for you to try— he's a fast learner so he'd make some forbidden spells accidentally and dropping it on you as a suggestion. Would you make it though? Yes, yes you do because you don't give a fuck about labels.

You and Ortho would fly together. It scares your friends sometimes because they'd try to find you on the ground then Grim remembered that you could fly using your shoes then they'd look up and see you and Ortho floating while drinking tea??? Now whenever you and Ortho are missing they'd look for you up and not down. You'd also scare them for fun and Ortho would join in too because why not? Ace and Duece will prank you two back and now you guys have prank wars in the sky.

Also food for thought, how chaotic would it be if you let Lilia use your magic? Like teaching him how to draw spells and explaining the magic system and all. I feel like you two would get involved in some type of disaster— yes both of you, whether you participated willingly or not will not count because you are automatically scolded with him because you taught him how to draw spells.

Another food for thought. Can you imagine how much disarray you would cause if you were a prankster?? Like blowing a student off the window because of something petty that they did to you seven weeks ago— do you know how funny it is when you would frame someone because they'd never suspect you cause of your lack of magic. Little do you know you're snickering in the background while running away.
