Tominaga is a cruel woman who only cares about image and status. She is sexist, homophobic, and transphobe. I'm gonna do my best but I'm a really empathetic person so despite my excitement to play her as a character I will be responding slowly with her for my own sanity.

Goka was quiet for a few seconds. Who the fuck told his Grandmother.
"I'm perfectly fine Nainai."
"Are you sure? When is the last time you ate? Have you been resting? Injuries can fester if left untreated!"
Goka nodded.
"Yes Nainai, I'm sure. Last time I ate was lunch, me and my partner plan to go to dinner together. I have been resting plenty Nainai."
Goka lied about the last time he ate, it was breakfast, and there were no dinner plans. If she knew... He'd be stuck getting his mouth stuffed full of food for practically hours.
Tominaga comes to a complete stop.
"A partner? Oh how wonderful! I'm sure she's lovely! When can I meet her? What is she like?"
"Yes. She. I love females."
Goka just realized how fucked he really was, how the hell did he explain any parts of his relationship to her and not get himself in more trouble? He didn't say anything else, what he just said was suspicious enough.
Luckily for Goka, Tominaga is far to excited at the thought of having a granddaughter in law to notice.
"So! Tell me what she is like? Is she from a good family? Did you go through courting? Bring her around sometime! Who have you been taking as your chaperone?"
"She's lovely. She can cook well. She comes from a family of high status. We got together recently. I will Nainai. I don't have a chaperone." Goka was only going to mention Kit for now... He wasn't ready to hear his grandmothers whole homophobic spiel.
"So you met by chance instead of through the courting book! How romantic! What's her family name?"
"Why not keep it a surprise? So you could ask her yourself."
Tominaga seems to think on it before smiling.
"You're right! I should hear it from her. I'm sure she must be something special if you've decided on her."

"Her name is Kit."
