How To Make A Spell Locket

I love lockets. Especially vintage ones that have filigree designs engraved on them. Or sometimes they come in different shapes like hearts, circles or ovals. Lockets to me already feel kind of mysterious reminding me of poison rings but for keeping photos or secrets inside.

If you have a locket sitting around, this spell is the perfect way to switch it up and wear your locket with your spell intention. If you need a locket first, try checking out thrift shops or craft stores. You can find pretty inexpensive lockets at any jewelry rack at a second hand shop, or score a pack of them at your local craft supply store.

Making spell lockets is really simple and only requires a few ingredients depending on what you choose to designate your locket for.

Protection Spell Locket

Black Obsidian Chips

Mugwort, Sage, and/or Rosemary

Black Candle Wax

Incense

Abundance Spell Locket

Citrine Chips

Basil

Green Candle Wax

Incense

Psychic Abilities Spell Locket

Amethyst

Jasmine

Purple Candle Wax

Incense

To Find Other Witches Locket

To create your spell locket set your items out in front of you and light the candle color correspondence to the spell locket you are creating. Light your candle and incense. Meditate to clear your mind and cast a white circle around yourself and your spell.

Light your incense and cleanse your locket by passing it through the smoke first. Next, cleanse the crystal chips and herbs you will be using.

Arrange the crystal chips in your locket. Next, arrange the herbs. Both the crystals and the herbs should be placed in a way that the locket can still be closed and latched if necessary. If you have too many pieces in your locket, reduce them by removing a few herbs and crystal chips.

Once you have the desired amount and your locket can easily close, take your candle and let the wax drip inside setting the crystal chips and herbs inplace. (Careful not too much!) Let the wax dry. If you’ve over dripped or are no longer able to close the locket, carefully take a toothpick and scrape the excess wax off.

Set your intention over the locket by reciting the following but paraphrasing for your intention: I create this amulet for ______________ and charge it with my intention to _________________. (For instance you can say, “I create this amulet for protection and charge it with my intention to protect me from all harm.”)

If you are actively wearing the necklace, don’t forget to take it outside and charge it under the full moon each month.

Herbal Smoke Blends 🌿☁️

Hi! Let's talk about herbal smoke blends, their benefits, and how you can create your own! Fair warning, this post is going to be fairly lengthy!

~ first of all, what is an herbal smoke blend and why would someone choose to use one? It's exactly what it sounds like. A blend of herbs that are smoked! There are many reasons people choose to smoke herbs. Depending on which ones used, it can be very medidative, give you more energy, help you sleep, help relieve anxiety, and help you connect with your spiritual practices. Let's get into how to make one!

- Base Herb -

~ Each smoke blend must have a base herb! A base herb is one that will be gentle and even beneficial for the lungs. What you're looking for here is an herb that is light and fluffy. This herb will make up about 3/4 of your blend. Listed below are the most commonly used and reccomended base herbs!

Mugwort - a great herb to use as a base! Gentle on the throat and lungs, it's also an amazing herb to promote relaxation, better sleep, lucid dreaming, astral projection, and vivid dreams. Excellent for connecting to your spirituality, helping you you to be more receptive to your spellwork, divination, and overall energy.

⚠️Mugwort is a blood stimulant. Do NOT use if pregnant or menstruating⚠️

Mullein - not only a light and fluffy base herb, but also beneficial to lung health! Mullein has been used for centuries to ease help ease the symptoms of coughing, asthma, pneumonia, colds, and bronchitis. It can also be blended with cann@bis to make it gentler on the throat and lungs.

Red Raspberry Leaf - gentle on the throat and lungs, Red Raspberry Leaf can help nicotine smokers quit with it's nicotine poison neutralizing qualities! A sedative and muscle relaxant, it's also very calming and can help relieve menstrual cramps, regulate your cycle, and soothe body aches and pains. A wonderfully helpful herb for those who menstruate. Red Raspberry Leaf also contain polyphenols, a nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties that can help ease arthritis pain.

Damiana - known as the cann@bis mimicking herb, Damiana, a mild psychoactive, helps you to relax, brings feelings of euphoria, increases energy, and stimulates blood flow. It's also used as an aphrodisiac and may help in weight loss efforts.

- Add Ins -

~ Now that you've chosen your base herb, lets add in some other herbs for flavoring, metaphysical, and medicinal purposes! These should make up only 1/4 of your blend. Listed below are some commonly used herbs you can add to your base!

Lavender - a classic! Lavender promotes good sleep and relaxation, while also giving your blend a lovely flavor! Lavender holds many metaphysical properties including the healing and balancing of your third eye and crown chakras, and warding away nightmares.

Rose - adds a sweet floral note to your smoke blend. The metaphysical properties of Rose include drawing loving energies to you while healing and balancing your heart chakra. I especially love to include rose to blends when sharing with friends <3

Horehound - is a great herb for any seasonal allergies! Add a little to your blend to provide some relief from them. An excellent herb for soothing a distressed respiratory system. A warning though! Horehound has a very unpleasant taste, so make sure only to use a small amount!

Blue Lotus - with it's sedative properties, Blue Lotus is a sleep aid that can help relieve anxiety. It's also an aphrodisiac. Technically a psychoactive, Blue Lotus flower brings feelings of euphoria and deep relaxation. Used to heal and balance thr third eye and crown chakras.

- Instructions -

- For every tablespoon of base herb you use, add 1/2 teaspoon any extra herbs you might like!

- Mix them up. I have a special wooden spoon I use for working with herbs! You can use your (clean!!) hands too!

- roll or pack the herbs with your method of choice and enjoy!

Moon Phases and Their Meaning

The moon is an important part of witchcraft, the phase of the moon has its own spiritual meaning and practices that should be performed during that phase. This isn’t a fixed rule, but it gives your magick a little boost that it may need to come into fruition. Being in tune with the moon makes us stronger.

Checking the moon daily is a great way to keep track of the moon phases, along with having a moon calendar in your phone. I also track the sun on my phone, but that isn’t necessary, it’s my personal preference.

New Moon 🌑

The new moon is a time of new beginnings and setting intentions. Some use this as a time of contemplation and self reflection, but this can also be done in later moon phases.

Waxing Crescent 🌒

This is the official moon phase for setting intentions, but I always do it in the new moon. This can also be used as a time of action, to act on your intentions

First Quarter 🌓

The moon for making decisions is the first quarter moon, this is a great time to begin acting on your intentions if you haven’t yet.

Waxing Gibbous 🌔

This is a time to further refine your intention and fine tune it into exactly what you want, revisit your new moon and crescent work to do this accurately.

Full Moon 🌕

Full moon is a time of manifesting, sealing intentions, and release. Let go of your expectations and allow the universe to simply make it happen

Waning Gibbous 🌖

This is a moon phase to show gratitude for the universe, the people around you, yourself, and everything you care for. Gratitude is so important and is underrated in my opinion.

Last Quarter 🌗

The last quarter signifies forgiveness. What is still hurting you? What can you let go of? Remember that forgiveness isn’t for the person in question to feel better, it is only for you. Also remember that you do not have to forgive someone if you feel they do not deserve it.

Last Crescent 🌘

This moon phase is about surrendering. Hold gratitude in your heart and release what doesn’t serve you as you move into the darkness of the new moon. This is also a great time to reflect on yourself.

I realised I only had a spell jar for banishing negative energies and wanted to make one specifically for protection as it’s the most important first step for a witch to take! So, in this jar you’ll find:

- mint for protection and courage

- egg shells to protect

- rosemary for health and protection

- patchouli oil to protect

- black salt, a strongly powerful protector

- pepper also for protection!

- black onyx to ward away bad spirits and negativity

- cinnamon for purifying negativities

and is sealed with a black candle, representative of protecting.
