one thing I loved about arcane was that the tragedy is inevitable because of the love. it’s the tale of orpheus and eurydice - if he didn’t look back he wouldn’t have lost her, but he has to look back because he loves her. if vi had listened to jinx and left vander on that ledge they both would have survived, but vi couldn’t not mourn in that moment bc of the love she has for her father, and jinx couldn’t not sacrifice herself for vi for the same reason. tragedy is only tragedy bc the love ordains it so, bc of what we mean to others and what they mean to us!
