“I slept very well thanks to you.” Have her near him, her scent, keeping him calm while he slept was such a relief after the decades without her. And now standing here, getting coffee or tea or breakfast, whatever it may be, and talking about dates was something he was glad to be doing. “Great lunch it is, I can come grab you from work and we can go out.” Hearing her talking about rituals made him smile and kiss her head. “That’s fine. You do your magic spells and I’ll be getting dinner ready for when you finish. I do like movie and popcorn. What shall we watch?”

“You always help me sleep better too.” She said, almost a little thoughtfully. She loved feelings his warmth around her, his beard pressed against her shoulder or top of her head. Sharing a bed again had made her seek out closeness as much as she could, though she didn’t think he minded much. “Sounds good.” She agreed, attempting not to think further about the magic she was prepping for. At this point she ought to have told him, and the fact that she hadn’t kept making her feel awful if she allowed herself to delve on it for too long. “You are too kind to me love. Is there anything involving me and you on a couch that you don’t like? Hmm.. good question. Any you’ve wanted to see?”

“Well I am better seeing your bright face in the morning.” He moved for a moment to grab a mug and make himself some tea. As he got the water boiling his eyes shifted back to her. Even in the mornings she looked stunning. “Doing some rounds, paper work, a meeting here and there. But I’m free for lunch if you’d like to get together. And then my day is done around six. We can have a date night if you’d like. Your choice what we do for it.” Chance grabbed a tea bag and looked for the honey. Honestly he was just happy to be with her. 

“Awh its not that early. Didn’t you sleep well?” she asked, picking back up her mug and turning to lean against the counter while sipping it, watching him move about and curiously listening to him sum up his day. His job was at times much more demanding than hers, and yet they always managed to find time for each other. Which felt even more important to ensure now’a days. Eliza couldn’t imagine going a whole day without seeing him only once in the morning. “I’d love to do lunch. Its such a good excuse for me to get out of the house. Six isn’t too bad. I have some ah, ritual proceedings to do at twilight but I should be done by seven at the latest. Maybe we could do something positively modern? Watch a movie after dinner, make some popcorn?” Lately she’d ben suggesting a lot of at home date nights, wanting to have him all to herself.

Chance smiled as he came up behind his wife and kissed her soft cheek. “Hello Mrs. Blackwood. How are you?” Hands rested gently on her hips, as he placed another kiss on her head. It was still new, his last name as hers now. But he loved the sound of it. And he loved knowing it was hers even more. The beautiful red head woman, whose eyes always sparkled, whose laugh was always bright, was his and it made the alpha very very proud. “What’s on your list for the day?”

Eliza hummed softly, setting down her morning tea and inching as close as one could possibly get to your significant other when they came up from behind. “Good morning Husband. I am good, how are you?” Her tone a little teasing, kind of wishing they could stay inside all day, enraptured in each other. She loved being his wife, finally. All her dreams were coming true and she couldn’t recall being this happy before in her life. Perhaps around the first time they met and fell in love, but not before, and not since. It was the kind of happiness that made you utterly intoxicated, while also stirred genuine fear of ever losing it. Turning her head a little to get a glimpse of him, she smiled. “Oh not much. Some dull paperwork, a little gardening, nothing eventful. Are you going to be very busy today?”

The voice was all too familiar, and though seemingly sweet, the words held recognizable sass. Eliza, of course she would know these things since she’s married to a council member. Kora all day has simply been trying to get herself busy, out of trouble, but busy. The air that seems to blanket the town is filled with an energy that she can’t fully identify, but it’s left her on edge. The only thing she can manage to do is keep her hands moving and her mind clear of animalistic thoughts for as long as possible until she can act upon her desire to shift. 

One dark brow raises as the witch addresses her and a small smirk plays at the corner of her mouth as she twirled the blade, steel gleaming along the sharp edge. “Why, are you worried? Do you feel threatened by me?” She was only teasing, it showed through the twinkle in her emerald eyes. There may forever be a sort of tension between them, but Kora wouldn’t harm her.

The night will apparently bring challenges to all species, and Eliza can’t entirely say that she’s pleased with them. Its a bit complicated all together and she is sure that most will find it unappealing to feel the effects. And it might be selfish of her not sharing the details but there were arguments that could be made that they were better off not knowing? Even with the information there wasn’t too much she herself could do with it. The thought of loosing her control around Chance was dreadful. 

The werewolf really had some genuine swagger where she stood, and it both amused Eliza and gave her other thoughts she hadn’t really dipped into when it came to Kora. Her responding giggle was light and heartfelt. “Oh I probably should be worried. God knows where you’d stick that blade if you had the chance.” She teased back, clearing her throat a little before speaking again. “No Kora, I don’t feel threatened by you. Its actually good to see you. How have you been?”

It pleased Eliza to new hights to be able to know things that were happening in town, or with the town, before everyone else did. It was one of the perks of being Mrs Blackwood. Not that she hadn’t been kept in the loop prior to being married to Chance but now everyone expected her to be as well. Of course her vanity thrived off it, being almost in the inner circle, feeling important and seen. And yet, no individual around seems to be immune to the changes and effects of the full moon tonight, and its coming super moon. 

Eliza’s gaze drifts over the items in her basket, mentally checking them off her list. She’s not trying to be rude or impolite with Kora. The truth is the witch feels uneasy about this phenomenon given that she’s never experienced one in a city filled with other supernaturals who might pose a threat. The teasing questions prompt a soft laugh to fall from the redheads lips. “Shouldn’t we all beware of you tonight?” she teases back, her lips easing back into a warm smile. Whatever tension Eliza might have felt between them in the past seems silly now. Washed away with insecurities that evaporated the moment she was able to say ‘I do’. “To be honest I’m far more concerned for my husband than myself. At some point he’ll be running around where I can’t reach him or entirely follow. I know he can handle himself but times like these bring a certain uneasiness with it.”

“Shops closing early.” Kora called from one of the back rooms of Enchanted as she heard the bell over the door chime. Walking back toward the front of the magic shop, the chattel stopped toward the front desk and idly lifted an old, decretive knife that had probably been used in a sacrifice or two many years ago before leaning back against the wooden counter. “The fireworks start in a couple hours.” Not to mention the full moon had her too on edge to man the place alone.

“I’m well aware.” Her voice rang out in a sing-song tone. And I don’t really care. Eliza thought as she stepped further into the shop, grabbing a basket so that she could start picking out the herbs and items she needed. It was just a precaution really, but she was planning on making herself some extra enchantments for tonight, and cast a few spells if Chance wanted her to. While she understood that this was an annual thing, she wasn’t too eager to spend too much time away from her husband simply because he couldn’t decide whether or not to turn, or she couldn’t control her powers if she got emotional. Meeting Kora’s gaze across the counter, Eliza’s own was slightly curious watching the wolf with the knife. “Should you be playing around with that?” Truth be told she kind of looked cute waving that little thing around.
