"Hello! I'm Basil! Welcome to my cottage! Um... I sell potions, tarot readings, and playing card readings right now, but I might expand that in the future. So... stay tuned? Feel free to ask questions, too."

out of character stuff: this is sort of (not super) inspired by the Basil's plants and potions blog, but i'm not part of the Omori food administration. I do allow dumb/magic asks so,,, ask whatever lol. only real thing with asks is that i'm a minor and basil's character also is, so don't ask anything super weird.

this blog sort of runs on asks (since it's an ask blog), but I might make cool things unrelated to asks happen every once in a while :)

if you wanna find out more about basil's lore, ask, but the basic lore is that he's 16 (in-game age) and he ran away to the forest. now he's living in a cottage that's been there for who knows how long... Faraway Town is also near Danvers, Massachusetts in this AU, which is somewhat important.

in this AU, there's a mix of irl wicca/witchcraft (tarot and stuff) as well as fantasy elements, like the sorts of spells you'd see in fantasy books/games

also!!! for the tarot readings, I do actually have tarot cards, and that's how I do them. I just pick three cards and then say what they are. i'm not super practiced, though, so the main knowledge I have on what they mean is a quick Google search. this also goes for the playing card readings.

basil uses he/him, I (mod) use any but mainly they/them and she/her. all assets used for this blog are drawn by me :)

[witchsil talks] is used for when he's just yapping, [mod talks] is for when i'm yapping, [ooc] is for out of character, [in character] is for in character, [witchsil answers] is for when he answers an ask, and [mod answers] is for when I answer an ask. [ooc reblog] is for when I reblog a post, and [in character reblog] is for when Basil's the one who reblogged it (usually stuff about plants, idk)
