kinda back...

So... I had a hectic year. I have some health issues that prevent me from staying too much on my computer and I'm also between houses, pretty much camping at my mom's for a few months after moving out of my old apartment and before moving into my own place next year. So these are the two main reasons why I haven't uploaded anything this time.

A much lesser reason is that AI images are taking the magic out of the search for new pictures. It used to be a joy, and now it's a frustrating slalom to avoid the fakery.

Another frustrating thing was coming back here after a while and finding hundreds of posts had been attacked by fuck!ng gazaspammers, so I had to spend several days slowly blocking all that sh!t. And I know - because it has already happened last year - that I'll trigger some flag-waving idiot with daddy issues but I'll repeat myself: I opened this blog to have and to provide a safe haven away from the mundane world and its mess: I don't want your bullsh!t political opinions to stink up the place. If you want to stroke your ego by crying about your pre-selected slice of the planet, go somewhere else.

I guess the only good news I bring this time is that I kept a list of autumn/halloween related movies I watched recently, and there's a lot of them. Which means my movie masterpost is about to get a big update soon.

I'm also working on a book list, but that will be for next year. Same, I'm afraid, for going back to posting regular pictures. That'll have to wait until my health will be back to normal.

kitty update: Winifred and Thackery are now 6 years old and they're doing fine. They adapted almost immediately to the new home, apart from the first 3-4 hours of such unbridled wailing that would have made a pack of huskies jealous.
