Circle Back

Soo its been some time since I last posted so I figured no time like the present then to circle back. Ive been feeling for a lack of better word not really myself.. In a little bite of a rut, if you will. I think like most New Yorker’s we get caught up in the constant hustle, busting ass at work, sprinting to your am or pm spin class, and hyped up on fad diets that when you get even the slightest break your body goes into depression.

I had a quick little reminder via social media of what makes me tick. This morning I had 2 new follower request from fashion boutiques. I know it is a slight glimpse of who I am but it made me think of my blog and a happier place. My post today is dedicated to staying true to yourself and never losing sight of your goals.

Like the wise Fergie once said, Dolce & Gabbana/ Fendi and Madonna, throwback to days of the Black Eyed Peas, these too are some of my favorite things... I recently stumbled upon new kicks from D&G and now can not stop obsessing. For those who know me, I have compulsive tendencies once I become fixated on something and these shoes my friends are one of the them....

Weekend warriors

As I struggle to get back into the grove of blogging, my mind dwells on topics that are fun, sassy with a twist of fashion.. The idea of floppy hats come to mind as they were a recent addition to my weekend wardrobe. This last weekend I spent half my time at a friends lake house and the other half at saratoga for the horse races. Needless to say not just the jockeys wore hats.. My true to form, was the biggest and baddest hat there ever was... Maybe not but I definitely represented! After a weekend of traveling, frolicking, gambling and such Monday's seems to be more than the usual struggle. Braving the weekend YES is fun but also adds to the Monday blues. I am reminded of a song Weekend Warriors that I used to listen to sometime during my punk/jap era...the good ole days! Cas friday

As I lay in bed pondering about the wine I consumed at happy hour and the some actions I decided that a casual day in needed... Us New Yorkers put so much pressure on ourselves to be the best, work the hardest, look the prettiest and I for one need a break (I do thrive on competition). Say a little pray

I've recently discovered that one of my favorite pieces is missing... My three layered diamond ring is no where in sight :(. I have frantically looked around my room and search in handbags looking for the ring but nothing so far. Finishing my night by praying to Saint Anthony. Monday blues

I am having a serious case of Monday blues. My eyes could not be more droopy and the need for under eye treatments is prominent. To add to the struggle I was in Miami for the weekend so the idea of work is just depressing. Despite my initial impression of south beach, my visit this year was drastically improved. Something about the heat, vibe, fashion and presecco seemed more upscale then last year. I would assume my positive opinion is she in large part to 2 boutiques I stumbled upon; curve and atrium.
