Unsupervised check-in!!! (Current read: when we had forever - shaylin gandhi)

I usually don't do this, never done this and never thought of doing it until now.

I came across a reel on IG about this book 'when we had forever ' and I downloaded it ( Yes I read on my phone ...eww... but I stay away from home for work so I can't carry my whole tbr/ books everywhere) months back... A second chance romance(I don't go for it usually) plus it was twin brothers and a change of partners by the end of the book... Or so I thought....

Now after months of sitting on it. I again saw reels on it and thought let's read it finally. But I'm so nervous, excited, sad, happy about this... I accidently saw multiple reels, and figured out that there's a secret of the twins and when one dies other comforts the woman and whatever whatever....

But because I know it ends with one brother and it started with another... I'm coming up with theories... Becauseeeee he's acting weird and in one reel it's said her marriage was deception and again blah blah blah...

So my theories are (spoiler ahead if they come to be correct )

1. She meets a different brother who changed his name and identity for some reason and later she gets to know in the end she married the wrong one. And eventually gets her original guy back (but the middle part would be so fucked up because of this because she literally spent years with the wrong one and didn't know!!)

2. Ofc... How can you not know/feel different even if they are twins so maybe she marries one she met and later brothers get exchanged after some years for some reason and she doesn't suspect a lot because he works a lot away from each other anyway. ( This theory comes from the reel I saw that he was different one night after a road fight or something and then behaves aloof)

3. There's bad blood between brothers so something happens and both fall for the girl and make some pact and one of them gets her but she doesn't realize anything and it's ends messed up until one brother dies.

4. Or not the last but the scenario can be .. she met one person on his high road, married him gets to know his super lows .. he dies and finds he wasn't who he was in front of her all this time( and It goes without any mess up.... Just like old twins story )

5. One more theory I had which is insane..... I might be insane to think about it... Like take it as me making my own story...

So there were two brothers and one dies before this girl comes into his life... He assumes the role of his dead brother/identity when he meets her and one day after years of marriage he is full of guilt and sadness and he makes up his death and comes back into her life as his own self again with his own name and personality... ( This is not it would be but my mind is making up his own story) ( Guysssss literally there are signs of a person michael being weird and talking weird...anyway ..)

Now the thing is... While I'm reading it now at 2:45am on a Sunday... I am happy to read the 'before' when they met and Im getting anxious and sad when reading the 'after' part of the stories... And constantly thinking now it clicks her or how good it was when they met, and I'll be so disappointed and sad and depressed on her behalf...

Lets say I'm empathetic towards the girl to a point where I'm putting down my book again and again to overthink and get agitated with the upcoming chapters .. just like I'm living in this world ..

Huh... It's been a while I read something so emotional, so into-the-deep story...

Throttle - A mechanism that controls the flow of air or fuel to the engine, which in turn regulates the speed or power.

Sundayyy!!!! Again??!!! 😏

“I know life is going to be absolutely insane for the next few years,” Naomi said, cupping my face in her hands. “I know we’re going to be exhausted and overworked and scared to death most if not all of the time. But I also know that none of this would be happening if it weren’t for you.”

“Baby, I’m not gonna be able to handle it if you lose it right here,” I warned her.

One upside of infertility issues was that I didn’t have to watch my wife suffer through pregnancy hormones. I’d have handled her tears, but probably not well.

“I’m not going to cry,” she said.

My wife was a dirty liar because I could already see the sheen gathering in those hazel eyes I loved so damn much.

“But I am going to tell you that you make every day the best one of my life. That I’ll never stop being grateful that you—”

“Got my head out of my ass?” I suggested.

She shook her head. “That you decided Way and I were worth it. Thank you for this life, Knox Morgan. There’s no one else who would make such an adventure out of giving me everything I ever wanted.”

Somehow, she’d done it again. It always surprised me when Naomi found another broken piece in me and made it whole again.

“I love you, Knox. And I’m never going to stop being grateful for everything you are and all that you’ve done.”

My throat was feeling awfully tight. And there was a burning sensation at the back of my eyes that I didn’t much care for.

I grabbed Naomi and pulled her into me, burying my face in her hair.

“I love you,” I rasped.

The words weren’t enough. They didn’t come close to the feeling I had in my chest when I woke up to her cuddled up next to me, safe and sleeping. They didn’t do justice to what I felt when she walked into a room and brought the sunshine with her. And they sure as hell didn’t hold a candle to the way I felt when she looked me in the eye and told me I’d given her everything she wanted.

I decided I’d spend the rest of my life making sure I showed her how I felt since I couldn’t tell her.

New weekend...

I'm astonished... In a very bad way...

I'm on the verge of tears... I might actually cry at this point.

7 years after their marriage he tells her he can't give her anything more than luxury, not the vacations she wants with him the freedom and adventure..

He says I can't fly and tells her to book the tickets after she makes a scene when he can't possibly refuse her, when she says she can't be married to him if this is the matter...

And you know why fucking why.... He works out runs everyday till the vacation day arrives for those abs.... U know whyyyyyy because he's got something on Grayson and he's taking revenge for something...

He took his girl now he sends him on vacation with her... And tells her casually what if we don't have sex and just experience each other's existence and enjoy the trip... Like they did when they met... I mean hell manipulation. ...

Fucking loser, he's beyond evil... And it happens... Because he is a twin he just needed the abs... Now she's at the airport and he's exchanged places gone back to work... And she thinks it's him... And something is very very wronggggggg... She says he's looking at me again the way he used to 10years back... What ???!!!! He is dead terrified goes to the washroom before boarding and come back okay.. and she's not questioning it.???? What the fuck.. the actual fuck... Is going on.... With her head....

Why doesn't grayson tell her, why he is a mum, why this tortureeeee.... On both of them..

I hope they have sex I hope she just.... OMG I want this to end.. I'm getting tourtureddddd....

I can't read more for today I guess..

Or maybe I'll torture myself and cry myself to sleep today... Wish me luck because if I don't pass this chapter I won't be able to complete this book ever.

OMG my heart... My fragile heart is breaking...

Because yes it was Grayson who she met. Yes somehow michael came back and took his house, and selfishly took the girl who was in it just because... He had to be evil, he didn't let her know about his brother, or who he was, he never invited him anywhere, she never knew Grayson...

And all the while Grayson, my poor man... Heartbroken (i don't know what lies Michael told him because, he didn't come to take mina)... And the scene right now .. ughhh.... Grayson called her, on her personal phone, on her wedding day... Drunk, my love... 😭😭 Michael didn't let her speak to him or let her know it was him altogether...

OMG , I'm so pissed about the level of manipulation, love bombing and neglect this person has given her... Ughhhh she never got to travel like she wanted to because he was a brooding asshole, drowning in his own sins and he took her with him... Fucking bastard... And she kept on thinking it was a phase, or he's broken, depressed he needs support or love nd shit.

OMG... The rage i feeelelelellellll !!!!

My god my god... How can a man be this way... He's a narcissist... He took her not on a real honeymoon but a hotel which he designed... And now he tells her 'oh let's move back to your hometown' like dude... She wanted to leave the country one day, she stayed back for you... You want to take her back to hell...

I mean mina is so clueless... Her Grayson, which is micheal who she met years ago for the first time should have never let her stay back for him, he would have left the country with her but not curb her dreams... And for the record never he would talk about moving houses to the one place she was running from.. ughh... I hate this mannnn

I mean he never doesn't surprise me with more stupid stuff, and rage baits me to hate him more and more each paragraph...

Hey hey hey!! Update to me reading...

So I've not been reading the book for 2days... Last time was so overwhelming with all the theories my brain came up with I ended up putting it down... Today I've picked it up again... And I have this anger/annoyed/ irritated kind of feeling inside me reading another chapter...

So basically the theories of identity disorder and stuff was bullshit my mind came up with... I googled it I had to so it doesn't tell me what it is exactly , the big twist in the story but it says a deceptive life... So.. now what I'm reading is the brothers met, and the girl says he's different from what he was before he went out today morning...

And the next day the other brother is making a scene outside the house... So I'm just thinking again my brain is telling me there was a switch up. The actual michael came home to this girl and as I suspected before, it could've been Grayson who's outside and wants his girl back. But the girl doesn't know...

This is another theory going on in my mind right now... Like what if michael took the chance and she marries him and then late gets to know it was Grayson she fell for... And missed out on so many years...

OMG.... I'm so frustrated if this comes trueee I'm so mad right now, with the possibility of it happening... How can you take your brother's life or something and fool the girl and whatever.... Hihhbhbhhjslkfnaoxn...

Again thanks if anybody reads this... I had to leave it here, I had to text someone about it... Even if it's just me at 4:20am again...

SUNDAY DAY!!!...

This month is dedicated to one book in particular and the good quotes.... 🙃 This scene is from the bonus chapter at the end of a long small town story of trauma and family tie-dyes... Happy endings!!

"On cue, the front door was wrenched open from the inside.

“Your father and I have been climbing the walls all day,” Amanda announced, hands on hips. I spotted Lou in the living room, watching TV with Nash and Lucian.

“Just your mother. I’ve been very calm,” Lou yelled.

“What’s this big news?” Stef asked, coming up behind my mother-in-law.

“Yeah? Why all the secrecy?” my brother’s wife wanted to know.

“Did you bring dinner?” my grandmother demanded, appearing next to them.

“Is this about Waylay’s soccer scholarship?” Wraith asked. No matter how long it went on, I still couldn’t get used to the biker dating my grandmother. Even though they seemed to make each other deliriously happy.

“Uh, guys,” Jeremiah said, squeezing Stef’s shoulder.

Sloane peeked over Amanda’s shoulder as I stepped aside. “Look,” she breathed.

Amanda noticed first. Her scream of joy brought Lou, Nash, and Lucian tearing out of the den, looking for a threat. It also woke the baby, who was not pleased about being screamed awake.

Fi came trundling out of the kitchen.

“What the hell is all the screaming—” She cut herself off with a blood-curdling scream of her own.

“Babies!” Amanda sobbed as Waylay handed over the crying Gillian to her. “We have babies!”

“Come to Grandpa,” Lou said, holding his hands out to Bridget. “I promise I’ll always have candy for you.” She balked shyly for a moment, but the word candy worked its magic, and she reached for him.

If I wasn’t mistaken, my father-in-law had to choke back a sob of his own.

“Look how perfect she is,” Amanda said to Sloane as she tickled the baby’s tiny fingers.

“Now, I get why you were texting me with all those girl hair questions,” Jeremiah said with a grin.

I’d been pumping him for the best products and styling techniques because my daughters were going to have the best hair in Knockemout.

Waylay’s boyfriend, Theo, stepped forward and pulled her into his side. I glared at him, but it didn’t have the heat it usually did. “Theo,” I said.

“Mr. Morgan,” he said.

I was definitely losing my touch because he didn’t drop his arm from my daughter’s shoulders.

Naomi elbowed me in the ribs.

“Dad, behave,” Waylay said, rolling her eyes.

Liza was holding Gillian now, and Nash was juggling Bridget, making her belly laugh.

“Well, I think this calls for pizza,” Amanda decided. “Lucian, you order it. Lou, go get Knox’s measuring tape.”

“What for?” Lou asked.

“You and the menfolk are going to go measure the girls’ bedrooms so we can get started on the nurseries. Ladies, to the wine cabinet. We have colors and themes to pick, daycares to research, and shopping lists to make,” Amanda ordered.

“I’m going with the womenfolk,” Stef decided. He paused and gave Jeremiah a kiss on the mouth.

“Save me a glass,” his husband called after him.

Naomi gave me a squeeze around the waist. “I love you, Knox Morgan,” she whispered.

I never got tired of hearing it.

“Love you, baby.” She slipped out of my grasp, and I watched her follow the women into the dining room, her dress flowing around her ankles.

Update: it's 5:30am now. .

I'm about to get to the point where the girl finally comes out of her sadness through anger but now that she says she never saw the other brother ever... He never came to the wedding or sent wishes, cards, nothing... I have another theory..

Maybe it's a big maybe as I said the guy was taking the identity of his brother, brother is dead long ago... He's making up the other brother....

But similarly I also thought WHAT IF ... The guy has a personality disorder??

What if he's michael and greyson both?

He describes in the beginning that Michael(him) was responsible for the accident which took his girlfriend's life years ago... Maybe it's his split personality that greyson was born...

There are signs, michael being at home didn't check his mail for the longest time, everyone said around him that he was behaving differently, and michael told her to never speak of greyson again never... There are pictures in the house by both brothers ... Michael even says in the beginning that he wishes he could be in her life a part of her... Whatever...

So my theory mixes up... I'm right that it was greyson who met her but with Michael's name, and later it was Michael after some fight incident he was different, more selective and stuff... And now that he's gone, died... Greyson is everywhere, in the news and a celebrity...

Hmmm... I think if this is the plot huh... I cracked it...

And if not... 🤣 I'm so imaginative ya...

Happy Sunday!!! 🔥🔥

Three weeks of heated conversations and disgruntled reactions. Days filled with palpable tension neither one of us tries to alleviate, which leads to more awkward moments. Mornings of her puckered nipples taunting me as she pours herself a cup of coffee. Evenings of her lounging on the couch with her toned legs on display, begging me to grip onto them and explore her body. And worst of all, there’s no escape from her laughs and daily challenges. I look forward to hearing the shit coming out of her mouth, which adds to the level of concern growing in my chest with each passing day.

Basically, living with Elena is like treading water by myself in the middle of an ocean—deadly, useless, and one wrong move away from going under.

Happy Sunday on a Wednesday!! 😏😏 (Late post for 1st March)

Cameron’s mouth twitched, but he didn’t smile. Instead, his lips parted and he expelled a soft gulp of air. The green in his eyes darkened and he moved closer, stepping into me until my back fell against the side of the truck.

My heart halted, and I was pretty sure a sound might have escaped at the sensation. The way his chest, hips, thighs, were now against mine. The way every point where our bodies touched tingled and burned. Every nerve ending turned into a live wire. I was ablaze.

Cameron hummed, that large hand that had been latched on to my face and neck climbing down my neck, shoulder, side, until reaching my waist. He squeezed. “It’s been driving me so mad.”

“What?” I whispered.

“Wondering if this was something you wanted,” he answered with a frown. I opened my mouth, as if to tell him of course, how could I not want this, you, it’s wanting it that makes me scared, but his hand moved. He clutched the fabric of my jacket. “That tiny whimper you’ve just made,” Cameron said, voice rocky. “You made it that first night. When I put you to bed.”

I closed my eyes. “I did?”

I felt him release my jacket. Then, his hand was at my back. His fingers splayed, climbing to my shoulder blades, reaching the nape of my neck. “You pulled me to bed, too, do you know that?”

I thought I managed a shake of my head. I couldn’t know. I was too distracted, overpowered, by the sensation of his fingers grazing the bottom of my scalp, tangling in my hair, pulling me to him, my body into his.

“You let out that exact sound and pulled me by the shirt,” he rasped out, the words right against my cheek. “And I had to settle with stroking your hair until you were asleep.”

My free hand shot up on its own and latched on to his forearm. I didn’t have words, I couldn’t even think. So I let myself be. I gave myself a chance. Just like Josie had said.

I pulled at his sleeve, hard, like I imagined I’d done that night. Cameron’s body came over me. Eyes still closed, I felt him, his weight, his warmth, the inside of his thighs coming over the sides of mine. I heard something drop to the ground. And then, both his hands on my face.

“Adalyn,” I heard, the word falling right on my lips. “Open your eyes, love.”

I opened them and for the first time I let myself really look at him. He was so devastatingly handsome, so fierce, so absolutely determined that I felt short of breath.

“I like your eyes on me,” he said, his thumb trailing along my jaw, gently, softly, leaving a trail of tingles behind. He grazed the corner of my lips, and I watched his tongue come out and wet his. “What do you want from me?”

I tightened the grip on his arm. “A chance.”

Cameron’s nostrils flared, but he seemed to hesitate.

“You make me feel,” I heard myself whisper. And I didn’t know if something coherent could come out of me, but God, I wanted to try. “You make me feel like I’ve never felt with anyone before, Cameron. You make me want things I never wanted.”

A groan left Cameron’s mouth. His grasp of my face turned desperate, softer, if that could ever happen at the same time. Hips pressed against mine, and twin sighs escaped our lips. He felt so… big, hard, all over me. And he looked in pain. His eyes dipped to my mouth, frantically, his thumb traveling to my bottom lip.

God, I wanted to feel him. Against my lips. I turned my head. Kissed the pad of his thumb.

“Fuck,” he grunted, something behind his eyes lighting up, breaking out, something powerful and dark.

I leaned forward, my patience done. Cameron did the same.

The sound of an engine coming to life sliced right through the moment.

We blinked at each other for an instant, chests heaving with heavy breaths, making sense of our surroundings.

“It’s the truck,” he finally whispered, his forehead falling against my shoulder. He groaned a curse.

Oh. Right. I’d forgotten all about that.

Cameron lifted his head and pulled me away from the side of the vehicle.

The sight of my hands in his made my heart skip a beat. It also reminded me of something. “I think we dropped both our drinks,” I said, looking at the ground and finding them there. I glanced back at Cameron. I flushed. “I… You’re smiling really big.” Something took flight in my chest, and I made myself ask. “Why?”

“Because you’ve just given me a reason.”

“A reason for what?”

“To play the longest game I ever have.”
