hear me out hear me out… okay so have any of you read any of lucy score’s work? imo not a massive fan (its eh from what ive read) but some of the stuff in her books i kinda like. in her book ‘things we left behind,’ i swear to god i clearly remember one scene really well. lucian throws a rock out of anger and it hits sloane’s window. somethin somethin, dude ends up climbing in through her window. anyhow i imagine that w teen!au simon and johnny. sixteen year old simon lifts a fist, chucks a grey pebble upwards, swearing at the skies, cursing any god that may be listening. he’s tired, the sky is fading to an orange-blue-indigo, there’s bruises and bruises and oh god, he’s turning the colour of the sky. johnny pulls his window open as the rock hits it only to see a deranged guy kicking rocks and grumbling around in his yard, which is visible from johnny’s window. he yells to the kid below, johnny can see him more clearly as simon turns around, he can see jagged tufts of blonde hair, dirty and messy, and hollow cheekbones and broken eyes. simon’s hand reaches for a branch, then another, his feet finding landings easily, and oh he’s scaling a tree like he’s nine again, picking apples, ripe and red from the little tree. he soon reaches johnny’s window, he’s atop a tree, he looks down at his yard, doesn’t know what to do. johnny invites him in, he climbs in through the large window. they meet face to face for the first time, johnny’s eyes wide and staring and curious and simon’s face tinged with anger and almost fear. see the vision? i know this is horribly written but im really tired at the moment, and this is basically a sorta brainstorm session for myself. thanks lucy score
