Mochibiyari
Mochibiyari is a type of Hiyari event, which means a meal together. In the Yamana district of Minamiboso City (formerly Miyoshi Village), Mochibiyari takes place before the start of the year's farming work. Participants gather at the designated house to discuss arrangements for farming, such as the order of rice planting, and address district issues, before sharing a meal.
A unique feature of this event is that participants receive daifuku mochi (rice cakes covered in kinako powder) as souvenirs, chosen by lottery.
