at this point theresa can’t be bothered to find out why her husband acts the way that he does. automatic response is oh it’s probably wizard stuff. so usually she stays out of it and lets him go about his day with the kids. she’s been busy anyway with the lunch rush, taking orders, giving bright smiles to everyone, even the rude ones. though in the back of her mind she has many snide remarks to say to them. but that is not good for business, so she refrains. as she heads into the back to wash her hands, he’s there and speaking spanish of all things. a smile beams, and her hand comes out to pay his shoulder reassuringly. ❛ buen trabajo miel. ❜ ( good job honey ). ❛ is that why you’ve been acting so shifty today ? you’ve been working up the courage to speak spanish ? ❜

as the words leave his mouth, he sighs in relief . from the look on her face , he can tell that it doesn’t matter how horrible his accent is . the kids had been making fun of it all day and they’re not wrong , but this anniversary , he wanted to step up his game . he wanted to remind this woman who was still way out of his league that he didn’t take her for granted . he never had . ❛ i wanted it to be a surprise . i only know un poco . ❜

he’s been jumpier than usual today . all day he’s been a slew of inappropriately timed jokes , lack of eye contact and hushed secret conversations with the kids in the wizard lair . on the surface , it may have looked like a normal day in the russo house , but he knew differently . right now , he’s mindlessly putting ingredients on the sanwiches as he practices the few things he’s learned today over and over again , but he’s quickly interrupted as theresa comes in the kitchen and he nearly jumps out of his skin . ❝ oh hi honey . ❞ another poorly timed joked lingers on his tongue , but he shoves it down and takes a step toward her . he hasn’t prepared to say it now , but nothing in their family had ever gone exactly as planned . ❝ te amo , theresa . ❞ his voice is soft and now he looks at her with wide eyes. ❝ i hope i said that right . ❞

so,,,, i’ve been super awol and i should probably explain. first of all: I AM NOT GIVING UP ON THIS BLOG dw. second: i was working on applying to schools again, putting together portfolios and essays and whatnot, but then some work drama happened and i just got way too stressed, so i’m going to be making a comeback on this blog soon now that it’s all stopped.

look, i don’t know what is going on, i’m not part of your world, but i do know that i just got my heart ripped out by this boy that i didn’t even know i knew let alone loved. and his father, who may or may not be my husband, you know i wouldn’t even mind if he was my husband, and these others two kids, these wonderful kids… look, it’s a long story but they need that stone ! and i intend to get it one way or another.
