Hey, you’ve done worse.
Probably none of you will get this, but I love you if you do.
“Why not grab a little gusto?”
“I don’t like little gustos, Herb.”
Happy Valentine’s Day, fellowbabies!
No clear indication of when this is from, but Woolery left Wheel in 1981, so it’s definitely sometime when WKRP was current.
Several decades later, it would happen again.

Sure, we all know “Turkeys Away” originally aired October 30, 1978, but now we know the reair date was July 23, 1979.

This Thanksgiving, let us not forget the turkeys that gave their lives for comedy at Pinedale Shopping Mall.
“As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”

Part 5 of the Howard Houseman record collection. Where possible, I’ve been trying to weed out albums that were relisted. Albums you see multiple copies of should be albums Howard had multiple copies of, but this is just one fan’s guess.
Have YOU won any yet? Tell me!

It looks like the estate is starting to get disseminated. Now (March 2022) on a well-known auction site, someone has begun “selling Mr. Hesseman’s collection of over 1000 vinyl records.”
So if you have some money, possibly a little above market value, YOU can own a record that used to belong to Dr. Fever, well, Howard anyway.
This isn’t an ad; it’s just a curiosity.

Leah Biel will be interviewing WKRP stars Jan Smithers and Howard Hessman at 5:30.
Today, September 18, is the 40th anniversary of the premiere of WKRP in Cincinnati. To celebrate, please enjoy an interview I did with Howard and Jan last week at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Maryland. I hope you learn something new.
And my jacket? It’s real; I wish I could’ve properly showed the back (with the show logo), but it was just amazing to be there with both of them.
I’ve been trying to collect my thoughts ever since I heard about Howard’s passing (many thanks to the many and varied friends who blew up my phone today just to let me know and ask how I am).
Maybe the best way to share how I feel is to repost the interview I did with Howard and Jan back in 2018 for the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention (I believe I did my best and I know it shows). I am forever grateful he and Jan took some time to show a devoted fan a good time.
Goodbye, Johnny.
