An alternate fanon Tsunami design inspired by a friend’s headcanon! Design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on insta/da

Design Notes: -Inspired by the hc that all the royal seawings have funky secondary colors(Anemone pink, Tsunami red-violet, etc.) -Purposefully made her have sharper markings and a dark, contrasting design because red is edge  -Has gill and eye markings like most of the royal family, but the slightly hooked under eye marking is unique to her

I’m back! And revamping this blog! Instead of doing base fills I’ll be making hand drawn designs, maybe even doing multiple designs of one character just for fun. However I will not get out nearly as many in a set time as I’ve done before. 

So here’s a Cobra Lily, because shes amazing and I love her. Design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on insta/da

Design Notes: -Her pink markings are heavily inspired by the markings on actual cobra lilies -Chose more solid markings instead of veins for simplicities sake -In general I give all my LeafWings a frill thats kind of leafy instead of webbing because whats up with that?

Princess Orca, the baby killer Base by Peregrinecella on da, design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -Not straight up black and white but close -Her orca marking that she was named after is a mutation of the gill markings the rest of her family has -Not shown but she’s pretty big for a SeaWing her age -If she lived and became Queen she would have a scar across her chest

Prince Fin, Octopus, and Cerulean! The other brothers of Tsunami Base by Peregrinecella on da, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes:  -Fin has the same eye marking as Coral and Tsunami -Octopus has the exact same gill markings as Coral -Cerulean takes after Gill a lot, and is almost a twin to Turtle except he’s well, cerulean  -Cerulean also would have more freckles but again its hard on a base -Not design but I hc Fin was in Orca’s clutch

Queen Pearl, the kid who became queen much too early Base by Peregrinecella on da, design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -Got her name from her pale gill markings -Her gill markings are the origin for the modern royals unique gill markings -Her main resemblance with her brother is her build, both being short for SeaWings and on the stouter side

Albatross, the one who snapped Base by Peregrinecella, design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -Much paler than his siblings due to having an IceWing father in my hc -His eyes(if off base) have barely any white to them and are super dark -Bags under his eyes from insomnia  -Deteriorating webbing caused by him picking at it himself as a nervous tick and just bad health in general

Queen Lagoon and Sapphire, Albatross’ horrible sisters Base by Peregrinecella on da, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -They are both,,, very blue -Sapphire shouldn’t have talons but thats hard to do with a base -True to most royals Lagoon has pale gill markings instead of dark ones

Clearpool, Cowrie, and Ripple, Indigo and Fathom’s kids Base by Peregrinecella on DA, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on DA Design Notes: -Clearpool was the only one with a described appearance -Cowrie and Rippel are purple because I say so  -They have varying markings, specifically face markings, based on their parents markings

Fathom and Indigo! They’re cute ig Base by Peregrinecella on DA, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -Fathom is a duller Turtle who shares some of his freckles -He has the same green and gold eyes as Turtle -Indigo is very purple, its what she deserves -Not pictured here but Indigo is taller than Fathom that's just how it is

Pike, the tiny fighter man Base by Peregrinecella, design ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da

Design Notes: -Named after his light freckles that pike fish also have -He would have more light freckles but its hard to do on a base like this -Looking back I’d probably give him a nick in his ear or webs due to his hyper dedication to training and all that

Piranha and Tempest! Council members of war and I love them both Base by Peregrinecella on DA, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on DA Design Notes: -Both of their colorful gill and face markings are war tattoos/paint! They’re traditionally put on gill edges to make them stand out when flaring gills and under the eye where natural markings sometimes are for more effect -Piranha got hers specifically to match Tempest after she died -True to the books Piranha has the scars of a dragon well acquainted with war -Tempest doesn’t have many scars because shes a giant dragon who will fucking destroy you before you get close enough to harm her, though looking back I’d give her a few more nicks

Abalone and Herring! Really minor characters that are grouped together for being minor, do you remember who they are? Base by Peregrinecella on DA, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on DA Design Notes: -Abalone has very shiny scales -Herring is green because that's what the gn says -Gave Herring a scar because he’s a guard Coral doesn’t care about they probably get scars sometimes

The modern Lagoon and Pearl, part of Coral’s SeaWing Council Base by Peregrinecella, designs ftu with credit to @outsmartingbasilisk or CleverBasilisk on da Design Notes: -Colors pulled from the gn -Lagoon has more freckles than just on her gills but that's hard to do on a fully scaled base -Pearl’s name comes from her pale colors, especially with her it off white gills
