Cookie Run Kingdom AU: Bridge To All

Warning: New things will be added to the masterpost as time goes on. I will say what has been added so make sure to check in every once in a while or have notifications on.

Summary: This AU follows the same story as the game but with differences. There will be 3 self insert cookies. Hybrid Cookie: Me, Garlic Bread Cookie: @aroacegoblinyt, Sea Salt Cookie: A friend who wants to remain anonymous. But it is not just self inserts, areas from the game will be expanded and the choices of characters will be different. There will be love, heart break, and a way for all cookies to become connected. A bridge to all cookie’s hearts. Will you be able to reach their hearts?

Timeline

Crispia Arc:

This arc is basically the same as it is in game with added lore along with two new characters, Hybrid Cookie and Garlic Bread Cookie. The Bravegang work together to revive White Lily Cookie’s memories but in doing so they reawaken Dark Enchantress Cookie. After her awakening the heroes work together to figure out a game plan to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie. To aid them, the Creme Republic reaches their hands out to assist. But the Creme Republic has their own interior motives as a cult known as the Saint Pastry Order try to steal the Soul Jam. Sea Salt Cookie joins the heroes in order to help keep the seas safe. She explains that the Saint Pastry Order has stolen a treasure from the sea itself and she was chosen to retrieve it.

The Saint Pastry Order themselves are frustrated that their plans were foiled by such a small kingdom. So they sent Pastry Cookie to investigate the kingdom, only for her world view to be shifted as she starts caring for the cookies in the Cookie Kingdom. Conflicted, she heads to Beast Yeast for answers to her questions.

As for Dark Enchantress Cookie’s plans, they are different from in the game. She cares deeply for the Cookie of Darkness and the kids that she adopts. Like the Dough Siblings who are found in a lab under a church. Or Matcha Cookie, Dark Enchantress Cookie’s daughter from her very own dough. She hides her anxieties and worries behind a smile or a cold stare, but at one point… Those emotions will break free.

Beast Yeast Arc:

After Garlic Bread Cookie reveals his mission’s true purpose to bring back White Lily Cookie, Pure Vanilla Cookie and a few members of the Bravegang head to Beast Yeast to help complete the mission. After reaching Beast Yeast the sealing of the Beast breaks, causing the Beast Cookie’s spirits to release from their cages. Now realizing that their Soul Jams are endangered, Pure Vanilla Cookie sends a warning to his friends about the Beast Cookies as White Lily Cookie and him figure out how to seal the Beast once again and how to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie’s plans. But it is interrupted as each Beast Cookie finds a way to bring their other halves to their domains in order to take or corrupt their Soul Jams. But the Ancients end up finding out what caused each Beast to corrupt and offer a hand in easing their pain.

Now as for Dark Enchantress Cookie, her plan was to create the Ultimate Cookie to absorb not only the greatest powers in all of Earthbread, but also the souls of every cookie in the world. And with that power it was supposed to cause an explosion that would break apart their world from the world of the witches. Restarting the timeline, a time and world without the witches. All of this before the witches would return with the help of the Saint Pastry Order and their experiments. For if the witches return, cookies will no longer be free. But after her researchers go over the possibilities and numbers it is clear that the plan won’t work fully. Yes, their world will be freed from witches, but everything will die. All kingdoms will fall with the unknown if civilization will be able to rebuild. All of the pain and suffering Dark Enchantress Cookie thought she would be able to undo will only cause more pain. So she crashes hard, realizing all that she has done will never be forgiven. So she makes a new plan, to tell her old friends and the Beast what and why she did all of this. She knows that there will be no forgiveness, but knows that there will be a war. Dark Enchantress Cookie can’t force the others to join her, but she won’t let any of them stop her from fighting back.

Even Millennial Tree Cookie joins, confirming that the witches will return and a war is coming. But also that the witches coming aren’t the witches who created the Beast or their world in the beginning. Instead, those first witches vanished without a trace. Not even Millennial Tree Cookie knows where they went. In their absence weaker witches took over Earthbread, devouring cookies to become stronger and making the Beast believe that they were their creators. And that their words were final. But they couldn’t fully interact with the world, only their magic could enter Earthbread, and every 1,000 years they are able to physically touch Earthbread. But soon as the Beast becomes corrupted they pull back from their influence a bit. Telling Silent Salt Cookie to seal the beast away. This would give them time to figure out what the first witches did, how they became more powerful than other witches, and influencing cookies to experiment with their own dough and life powder. Millennial Tree Cookie also warns the Ancients, Beasts, and Dark Enchantress Cookie that if one side of a virtue is destroyed or corrupted, then the other will be destroyed as well, causing the very virtue to cease to exist.

On the day that the witches would return, Dark Enchantress Cookie sends her army to attack the Saint Pastry Order and their creations to stop their rituals. In the beginning, she struggles as she stopped creation on the Ultimate Cookie and focused on her forces and protecting her children. But the ritual is successful, causing the witches to slowly reach down onto the lands of Earthbread. Right when all hope was lost, the Ancients and Beast come forth and join the battle along with the Guardians of Nature. The Saint Pastry Order is easily defeated by the forces but with the ever growing presence of the witches causes the battle in a stand still. In the midst of the fight, Gingerbrave falls into the oven by one of the witches. There the Ultimate Cookie tries to keep Gingerbrave in the oven where they will be safe. But after some convincing the two of them leave the oven and see the ever growing force of the witches. The Ultimate Cookie joins the fight, using their powers to instead absorb the powers of the witches, weakening them and giving the cookies a chance to rethink a new strategy. But they won’t have much time as the Ultimate Cookie isn’t complete, meaning that soon they will crumble under the weight of the witch's powers now cursing through their jam.

That’s when both Dark Enchantress Cookie and White Lily Cookie make up a plan. One part of Dark Enchantress Cookie’s plan was to turn herself into a witch in order to complete the Ultimate Cookie. So the two plan to turn themselves into a witch and use that power to fight back the witches. Maybe even sever the connection to their world and the world of the witches. It takes some convincing for the Ancients and Beasts to go with the plan as they would need to use their own Soul Jams to help power such a ritual. But it does happen, both Dark Enchantress Cookie and White Lily Cookie fuse together to become a witch and use their powers to fight back. With the combined power of a witch and the Ultimate Cookie the connection between the two worlds is destroyed, freeing cookies from the control of all witches.

In the aftermath, the Ultimate Cookie vanishes and the witch body, both Dark Enchantress Cookie and White Lily Cookie are in starts to crumble away. Everyone does what they can to save the two but are unable to. So with what remaining power she has, Sugar Swan Cookie moves both spirits deep inside the Soul Jam of Freedom. Because their spirits were tired of the constant fighting, they needed a rest. And once they are fully rested a new body will be formed upon their awakening. But how long it will take is unclear, a few days, months, hundreds of years, it was hard to tell. So in the last remaining moments of being awake, both Dark Enchantress Cookie and White Lily Cookie say goodbye to their friends and family, hoping to see them again. And then, both of their spirits rest deep inside the Soul Jam of Freedom, protected by Silent Salt Cookie.

Missing Beast Arc:

In the months leading to this arc, all of Earthbread work together to rebuild and figure out what to do next. The Guardians of Nature, weakened from the battle, head back to their domains to rest and regain their strength. The Beast are even trying to process everything that they’ve been told and seen. Even trying to figure out what they want. Without guidance, the major kingdoms plan to form a meeting together to figure out what to do next. But one night, the Soul Jams of the Ancients vanish along with the Beast. Panic fills the world once again as they try to figure out what happened. Even the minions of the Beast don’t know what happened. Factions and forces invade Beast Yeast, hoping to find the Beast. In their wake the domains and kingdoms of the land become overrun and destroyed, including the Fairy Kingdom.

Luckily, before the Beast disappeared, their own Soul Jams were given to cookies that they trusted. Ones that will protect the dark side of their virtues and protect Beast Yeast. These cookies become Temporary Beast as not only do they protect their lands but they also try to find the Beast. Garlic Bread Cookie becomes the Apprentice of Darkness, Sea Salt Cookie becomes (Work in progress title), Hybrid Cookie becomes the White Liar Princess, Venom Dough Cookie becomes the Spider’s Requiem, and Pavlova Cookie becomes the Fallen Cupid. Some embraced their newfound dark side while others realized how much the Beast loves them.

The Beast are in a remote part of Beast Yeast, deepening within a combination of the Real of Silence and the Darkside of the Moon. There they are fighting the version of Shadow Milk Cookie from the game, the one that is traveling between timelines to make them into his own image. He came to this timeline in hopes of not only taking the powers of Silence, but also the powers of the Ancient's Soul Jam. But was thwarted when the Beast trapped him in this realm as they protected the Soul Jams. And they couldn’t risk their own Soul Jams to be stolen which is why they were given to cookies they could trust. Why couldn’t they tell the others what they were doing? It's simple, would the world believe them? Would they believe that the Beast doesn't want to destroy or rule the world? They had to do it alone. To push this intruder out of their timeline. But they’re not used to using the light side of their Soul Jams, yes they were once a part of them but those powers felt foreign to them.

Luckily they are found by the Temporary Beast as they and the Ancients join them in fighting back this other Shadow Milk Cookie. The Soul Jams are returned to their rightful owners allowing the fight to become easier for them. White Lily Cookie and Dark Enchantress Cookie awaken in the middle of the battle with their new bodies, fresh and crispy to fight back this new force. Before the other Shadow Milk Cookie could absorb their powers, Time Keeper Cookie comes in and manages to pull the other Shadow Milk Cookie away, saying that she will handle things from here. This will most likely change once arc 2 of the game comes out so the ending of the arc will still be a work in progress.

But after the other Shadow Milk Cookie is taken away, the Beast expects to be yelled at, locked away, or even the Ancients cut every tie with them. Instead they are thanked with their wounds being treated. Even though they represent the dark parts of their world, it is clear that the world can’t exist without them. White Lily Cookie reunites with her friends and loved ones, Dark Enchantress Cookie becomes the new guardian of darkness and reunites with her children.

Tower Kingdom Arc:

Once again this is a time skip like the last arc. The cookies across Earthbread are celebrating the one year anniversary of the war against the witches. Every single major kingdom and Beast faction comes together to celebrate at the Cookie Kingdom. As the Cookie Kingdom is decorating for the anniversary representatives and visitors from the Tower Kingdom come in to join the celebration. However a few of the cookies feel unease since the Tower Kingdom has never interacted with any other kingdoms or helped in the war. And once their king arrives even the Ancients and Beasts could feel that something is off. Especially after what they know from Hybrid Cookie’s experience growing up in the Tower Kingdom.

Wanting to figure out why the Tower Kingdom now wants to get involved with the rest of the world, the Bravegang goes to figure it out. While they are there Hybrid Cookie goes missing after finding her way into the tower.

And that’s all I thought up for this arc. It's a work in progress.

So I finished playing The Hex, another Daniel Mullin’s game. And although I haven’t found all of the secrets to this game I have come to a conclusion. I have never been terrified of a game character, until now.

Sado… terrifies me! If you play the game you know what she can do but she is still a mystery to me! What are you planning?!

So I was replaying Inscryption on my Switch 2 and my black goat card turned into, this. I have no idea what I did but I guess there are secrets in the game we haven’t found. Maybe you guys will get a laugh out of this like I did.

Cookie Run Kingdom AU: Bridge To All

Chapter 10: The Moonstone

“Do you hear that?” Gingerbrave asked.

“We’re in the middle of a fight!” Chili Pepper Cookie screamed.

The 5 cookies were hiding inside a classroom. Their fight wasn't going well against the ghost guarding the halls. So the kids had to run and find a place to hide and heal as much of their wounds as they could.

Gingerbrave walked over to one of the walls to press his head against it. “I swear I hear howling,” he said, trying to listen. He could hear the sound of booming from the ghost they were fighting. But he could also hear something else. Smaller booms that sounded different. And even the sound of other cookies. Gingerbrave’s eyecing widened as he heard the familiar sound of howls echoing across the halls. “Yup! Those are howls!” The cookie pulled back from the wall as the sounds grew louder, causing the other cookies to hear. “Did the Cookies of Darkness find this place already?!”

A boom louder than all of the others shook the ground as faint screams could be heard. “W-We need to get out of here!” Strawberry Cookie squeaked, starting to head to the door. Before she could reach it the door swung open causing the cookie to freeze. There, standing in the doorway was a cookie in white and silver armor. They wore a white mask with two black eye holes staring at them. On their arm was a silver, fork shaped crossbow to which they pointed at the kids.

“You are coming with us,” they ordered, a strange white, glowing arrow appearing on their crossbow. Behind the cookie were more of those same cookies in white masks. They fled into the classroom, surrounding the 5 cookies. “This academy is now under the rule of the Saint Pastry Order. All heretics of the witches will be contained. Do not make this difficult for yourselves.”

The 5 cookies huddled together as the white masked cookies slowly drew closer. Before any of them could react, a dark figure reached into the room. Its jaws bit down on the first white masked cookie, causing red jam to spill from the wound. More black figures ran into the room causing the cookies in the white masks to change their aim. They fired glowing arrows at the dark figures, causing their attention to shift away from the cookies.

Wizard Cookie turned to the wall behind them and pointed his staff towards it. A burst of lighting shattered the wall leading into another hallway of the academy. “Run!” He screamed as the other cookies ran into the halls. Leaving the white masked cookies with the dark figures. As the kids continued to run across the academy they found themselves on an outside bridge. There, they could see more of those masked cookies being chased and nearly devoured by the black figures.

From their view point the 5 cookies could see the ghost that they were fighting before. Now trapped in a cage made out of light being dragged away by the masked cookies. “I don’t see Hybrid Cookie or Garlic Bread Cookie,” Custard Cookie III said, worry rising in his voice.

“W-We can find them,” Chili Pepper Cookie said, trying to sound reassuring. “Yeah, we can find them… I hope.”

As the cookies pondered what to do, Gingerbrave couldn’t help but small something. The sweet lily scent of a familiar cookie. Turning to see the other side of the bridge, the cookie could see the familiar figure of White Lily Cookie. Her figure immediately ran further into the academy causing Gingerbrave to run and call out. “White Lily Cookie, wait!” Noticing the cookie running, the others followed as they all went deeper into the academy and its twisting halls, following the scent of lilies.

Their movement stopped when the cookies found themselves in a long hallway with brilliant stained glass windows. Each window had similar but different figures. Big pointed hats, long flowing robes, and 5 fingers on each hand. “Are those… Witches?” Custard Cookie III asked, holding onto Gingerbrave’s hand. The group walked slowly down the hallway. Even though it was night the windows had calming light emanating through them. Each and every figure of the witches had different hair color and styles. Even their eyes were different colors as it felt like they were staring at the 5 cookies. At the end of the hallway was a large ornate door. Ash long forgotten stained the stone around the frame.

Slowly, Gingerbrave reached out to push the door open. Before them was something unreal. Stars and planets gently swirling around the dark purple sky, a long floating staircase made out of a clear crystal, and a floating platform-like island at the top of the stairs. The sound of booms, screams, and howling became silent as the 5 cookies began to walk up the stairs. A strange sense of calm and peace washed over the cookies as they continued. Their speed quickened as the children got closer and closer to the top of the stairs, to that platform island.

Waiting there was another ghost, just like the ones before they had mist coming from them and one blue eye calmly staring. They wore robes of purple gently floating around their figure, a golden star pendant on their chest, and a long black staff with a purple flame. Behind them was a brilliant crystal in the shape of a crescent moon. Magic was flowing through it, but it seemed like it was keeping something there. “Greetings,” the ghost spoke calmly. “I am the guardian of the Moonstone. I have been waiting for you.” The staff gently tapped onto the ground causing more of those purple flames to scatter around, swirling.

Images came from the flames as the ghost began to speak. “A long time ago, White Lily Cookie was once a student here at the Blueberry Yogurt Academy. She was an excellent student along with another, Pure Vanilla Cookie.” Figures of the young cookie appeared in their student robes. “But one day, White Lily Cookie’s curiosity grew as a question bubbled in her mind. ‘Why were cookies made? What is their purpose?’ This drove her into discovering the forbidden texts inside these halls.” The image of a book bound in chains flew across the children as the flames slowly turned red.

“She discovered a realm where witches would discard what they considered mistakes, whether or not they were alive. And White Lily Cookie broke into that realm.” Whaling figures appeared in the flames as figures of students and teachers were also turned into those whaling figures. “The spirits of the lost, the forgotten, and the discarded corrupted the living. Their bodies were dragged into the realm and their spirits were left behind. Becoming ghosts to these lands.” Out of the red flames, one of them turned gold as the young figure of Pure Vanilla Cookie came forth. “It was only because of the healing power of Pure Vanilla Cookie’s magic which allowed those spirits to be driven back to their realm.”

The golden flame grew bigger as the whaling figures vanished. “All that was left of the living, was Pure Vanilla Cookie. And the one who caused this.” All but two flames vanished, leaving the figures of Pure Vanilla Cookie and White Lily Cookie left. “Even after that day, White Lily Cookie never let go of her curiosity. Even as the years went on.” The flame around the cookie became black as a pair of horns appeared on White Lily Cookie’s head. “I may not know how it happened. But one day that white flower turned to ash. Being reborn into something new. Into a being of darkness.”

“Wait… You don’t mean…” Gingerbrave started, but his question was immediately answered.

“Yes, White Lily Cookie is Dark Enchantress Cookie.” The last of the flames vanished as the cookies looked back at the ghost. They placed a part of their robe onto the crystal. “Dark Enchantress Cookie’s body was sealed in this Moonstone, to prevent her evil from spreading once again.” The ghost looked at the children, a sadness in their eye. “I know why you are here. To bring back White Lily Cookie’s memories. Well, what will you do if White Lily Cookie becomes Dark Enchantress Cookie again?”

A wave of heat suddenly filled the area. The sound of growling could be heard behind the cookies as the ghost looked up to the ends of the stairs. Turning around the children could see the figure of White Lily Cookie, at first. But her dough was burnt into a purple color, eyes glowing red, hair burnt short, two large horns on her head, and a flowing black and red dress. This wasn’t White Lily Cookie, not anymore. “What will you do indeed,” the figure said, a smile on her face. “However, I need my body back. And I made a promise to your friends that I won’t hurt you kids.” Dark Enchantress Cookie’s figure gently waved her hand, causing the dark figures to leap out and stare at the ghost. “So Headmaster, if you don’t mind moving aside. I will be taking my body and those children with me.”

The ghost slammed his staff into the ground, causing purple flames to circle around the 5 children and the Moonstone. “You are no longer my student. Therefore I will feel no regret in banishing your spirit from this place.” In a flash, the ghost flew over to the flaming figure and her dark figures. Dark Enchantress Cookie’s figure leaped into the air to avoid the on coming attack. Dark red flames circled around the figure as they launched out to the headmaster. The dark figures ran to the Moonstone, being burnt to a crisp by the purple flames. The children held onto each other as more dark figures appeared from the shadows and as the battle continued to rage on.

“Please stop this!” Gingerbrave called out. “I know that you’re still in there White Lily Cookie! Please stop!”

In a brief movement, everything slowed down. Dark Enchantress Cookie’s figure looked over at the child. Her eyes soft back when she was White Lily Cookie. Even her smile was kind and gentle. The figure raised her hand, a black spear-like figure being created from the flames. The headmaster’s ghost protected the children as the spear launched in the air. It speared through the ghost as it landed on the top of the Moonstone. Cracks began to appear on the Moonstone as the flames around the children vanished and a dark energy came from the cracks.

Before the children could react, the headmaster’s ghost grabbed the children in their robes as the figure of Dark Enchantress Cookie was pulled into the cracks. Without warning the Moonstone shattered causing a wave of unbearable heat to cover the area. The headmaster flew into the air as a wicked laugh came from the center of the now broken Moonstone. Red glowing eyes stared as the headmaster’s ghost flew across the sky with the children. She took in a deep breath, feeling the air filling in the center of her dough and all around her. Howls enveloped the academy as Dark Enchantress Cookie awakened.

I don’t know how I did it but we have another chapter! You can tell that I want to desperately write the Beast Yeast arc of this AU, but I need to finish the Crispia arc. So I am going to try to write more chapters so be prepared for more!

Remember when I said that Hybrid Cookie and Shadow Milk Cookie had a child in the future? Well I was thinking about him. Still trying to figure out his color since I don’t want him to copy the colors of Shadow Milk or his ‘siblings’ and mom.

Shadow Milk: Blue

Hybrid Cookie: Pink/Magenta

Black Sapphire: Purple

Candy Apple: Red

Anyway…

Meet Boo Rabbit Cookie! Why the name Boo Rabbit? Well I want him to have rabbit imagery. As for the boo part of the name, when Boo Rabbit was a baby all he could say was “boo.” Speaking of well, speaking, Boo Rabbit Cookie has a hard time expressing his emotions and finding the right words to say. He is most comfortable talking to his family even if it’s not a whole lot. But Boo loves writing stories and poems. It allows him to express his dreams and feelings to other cookies.

As for relationships between his family, Boo Rabbit Cookie loves his mother, Hybrid Cookie. This is because he spend most of his life with her. Not because Shadow Milk was being neglectful, it was because he didn’t want his child to suffer the same fate he did. So Shadow Milk secretly started to gather gold, knowledge, and support for his son if he even wanted to become a teacher or somehow inherits his Soul Jam. When Boo Rabbit Cookie finds out about this he tries to catch up with more time with his father. Asking for advice with his stories, taking about different books of fiction, and learning how to read tarots cards.

Now for Boo Rabbit Cookie’s relationships with his siblings. Black Sapphire helps Boo in talking to other cookies, in exchange Boo helps in his rumors. Figuring out which ones are real or fake and its origins. As for Candy Apple, she loves to play his her little brother. They play pretend a lot which gives ideas for Boo’s characters. Candy Apple loves that she can make more costumes and how Boo is willing to join her in cosplays.

As for the other ancients and beast, I am still figuring out Boo Rabbit Cookie’s relationship with them. But I do know that he stays quiet a lot with them since he doesn’t see them often.

I know that people have a lot of different ways that they show love for their cookies in game. But I don’t know if anyone else does this or if it’s just me. When I am going over my kingdom I just like to, pick them up. Even if they’re doing something I just love to pick them up in game and hold them for a bit. Just imagining scooping up these little guys to show my love. Does anyone else do this?

Chapter 9: Whaling Past

White Lily Cookie reached out and took Garlic Bread Cookie’s hand. The cookie then brought his staff to Hybrid Cookie who was standing nearby. “Hold my staff. Please.” Hybrid Cookie held onto the cold silver staff as Garlic Bread Cookie’s free hand gently placed itself behind White Lily Cookie’s back. “Where do you want to look first?” He asked the being of what remains of his sister. White Lily Cookie looked around, her silent feet moving as she looked at the courtyard they were in.

“I remember, a secret place a friend and I used to go to. Somewhere in here.” A small blush came to her cheeks as a soft smile appeared on her face. “We would spend hours in our secret hideout. Studying together, working on experiments, and… And more.” The cookie’s feet moved with more purpose as her spirit remembered the path she had taken multiple times. Hybrid Cookie walked close behind the cookies as Garlic Bread Cookie continued to help guide White Lily Cookie through the bushes and flowers, slowly blooming as they walked. Many were lilies, but some were a flower two of the cookies have never seen before. Shaped like sunflowers, but it looked like an eye was closed in the center. “Vanilla Orchids! They bloomed along with lilies at our secret place.”

With a wave of her own staff, vines in the courtyard shifted with the command of her own powers. As the vines shifted a small doorway could be seen along with a metal frame with glass in between them. “Come on in, Garlic Bread Cookie. I want to show you where me and Pure Vanilla Cookie spent our time.” White Lily Cookie practically dragged the cookie into the doorway with small giggles coming from her mouth. Once inside the two cookies were met with the inside of a long forgotten gazebo. Furniture was brought inside to make the small hide out more warm and cozy. Bookshelves were filled with long forgotten books, diagrams posted on the walls with strings and sketches trying to solve a puzzle, and a plush couch with a coffee table in front of it with tea cups long forgotten.

White Lily Cookie smiled brightly as she slowly walked around the hide out. “Me and Pure Vanilla Cookie would spend hours trying to figure out the secret to cookie creation. But we would also just spend time together with one another. I always got worried that my lily scent would cause him to be nauseous. But we continued sitting, talking, and…” The blush on White Lily Cookie’s cheeks grew as her memories flooded in. Hybrid Cookie suddenly felt a strange vibration sensation through Garlic Bread Cookie’s staff. The cookie noticed as he suddenly headed to his friend and helped hold onto the staff.

The scent of garlic and lilies swirled around the 3 cookies as faint figures came from White Lily Cookie’s form. Two small little cookie forms could be seen in white and blue waffle robes and little cone hats. One had short messy blonde hair with soft closed eyes, and the other was a younger White Lily Cookie with a messier braid. The two figures were sitting on the couch, not noticing the other cookies before them. In fact, they didn’t seem to interact with the world around them. The 3 cookies watched as the two young cookies gently relaxed into one another on the couch. “I’m sorry for my lily scent again,” the younger White Lily Cookie said.

“And I will always tell you, I don’t mind your scent,” the other cookie said as he gently nuzzled his head into the young Lily. “Your lily scent always comforts me. In fact, there’s something that I’ve been meaning to tell you White Lily Cookie.” The cookie gently pulled away, opening their mix match blue and yellow eyes. He took White Lily Cookie’s hand into his own as a small blush came to both of their faces. “I… I love you White Lily Cookie. You make my heart flutter in a way I can’t explain. Whenever I am with you, I can be myself. Other cookies look away once they know of my lowly background. And how terrible my eyesight is. But you don’t.” The cookie brought one of the hands to gently cup the young White Lily Cookie’s cheek. “I love you White Lily Cookie…”

Red blush completely covered young White Lily Cookie’s face as a small squeak escaped the older one’s lips. Both forms of the cookie covered their faces as both turned a deep red. “P-Pure Vanilla Cookie! You-You can’t just say that out of the blue!” The young cookie gently placed her head on the young Pure Vanilla Cookie’s chest. “B-But I… I love you to…” The cookie slowly wrapped his hands around the other cookie’s body as his eyes gently closed. White Lily Cookie’s arms wrapped around Pure Vanilla Cookie as the two figures slowly faded away.

“It was here… It was here that we confessed our love.” White Lily Cookie crouched to the floor as small embarrassed sounds could be heard coming from her.

Hybrid Cookie let go of the silver staff and headed over to the now embarrassed blushing mess of the cookie before them. “Are you ok Miss White Lily Cookie?” She asked, crouching down to the cookie.

White Lily Cookie slowly removed her hands to look at Hybrid Cookie, face still red. “F-Forgive me. I just remember all of those moments I have spent with Pure Vanilla Cookie afterward. I just… I just can’t believe that I have forgotten that.” The cookie brought a hand out for the other to take. Hybrid Cookie gently pulled White Lily Cookie up as she took a deep breath. Embarrassment washing away. “But there was something else we did here. Something that was important.” She scanned around the room, her eyes becoming more clear as the lily in her staff looked a bit more healthier.

Gently the cookie walked to one of the walls of the gazebo allowing her hand to trace the stone and metal. “Something that would help all of Cookie Kind. To a brighter future for all.” White Lily Cookie gently pressed on one of the stones, causing an entire section of the wall to open up. Hybrid Cookie and Garlic Bread Cookie walked over as White Lily Cookie gently pulled the part of the wall away. Inside was a metal outline of a cookie, a large one to easily fit a cookie in the outline. Next to the metal outline was a handmade book with paper and pages on the verge of spilling out. The cover with a hand painted cookie in the center. “A way to make cookies stronger. To prevent us from crumbling so easily… Did we complete it?”

A loud booming sound could be heard in the distance, causing Hybrid Cookie to jump. “We should get going,” she said, a slight panic in her voice. “I don’t know how long the others will keep that ghost at bay.”

White Lily Cookie’s head snapped up upon hearing what the other cookie had to say. “Ghost? There’s a ghost in the academy?” The cookie held her staff close as she turned away from the drawer. Garlic Bread Cookie immediately started following the other cookie as she started to run, mumbling under her breath. Hybrid Cookie followed the two cookies as they ran out of the secret hideout and across the courtyard. Knowing the layout better than the others, White Lily Cookie opened a courtyard door and ran down the halls as her mumbling turned into rambling. “Ghosts don’t just appear without warning. We need answers. Where was it again?”

The cookie easily opened two large doors as she ran into the room. Inside was a massive open area with walls covered in neatly aligned books, rows and rows of tables and chairs with lanterns gently illuminating the area. White Lily Cookie was dashing in between the large shelves of books. “Slow down!” Garlic Bread Cookie called out, rushing after the cookie. He dashed into the rows of shelves, trying to follow the scent of lilies. But it wasn’t just lilies that Garlic Bread Cookie could smell, there was a faint smell of ash.

After dashing between a few more walls of shelves the cookie found himself in a darker area of the library. There was a broken metal gate leading deeper into the darkness. Garlic Bread Cookie heard footsteps behind him and the heaving voice of Hybrid Cookie. “Stay here. Watch for anything that comes into the library,” he said before heading deeper in. Books bound in chains scattered across the shelves in a strange energy. By using his staff, the cookie used the light from inside to illuminate the area. Further ahead he could see White Lily Cookie’s figure standing before a small empty stone altar as small sparks of light moved around her.

‘Another memory?’ Garlic Bread Cookie gently waved his staff, allowing the magic to flow out of it. The small sparks slowly became cookie forms, one was the young White Lily Cookie, the other looked to be a cookie version of the Archivist. The little cookie was holding onto a large dark red book, one covered in chains.

“What do you mean there’s a realm where the witches discard Cookies?!” White Lily Cookie asked, at the archivist before her. “How come you don’t teach us this?”

The older cookie grumbled, one of their hands on the book. “Because even we don’t know why,” the Archivist said, trying to take the book away. “All of the books in here are from a time lost to knowledge. When the Fount of Knowledge fell so did the records of the witches.” The only cookie was able to pull the book out of the young cookie’s arms before placing it back on the stone pedestal. “Not even the guardian of the moon herself can touch the Dark Side of the Moon. It is something that we just don’t have the answers to.”

Slowly the figures vanished as Garlic Bread Cookie walked closer to White Lily Cookie’s form. The scent of ash started to grow as the cookie’s dough had patches of burns over it. “I… I knew that inside that dimension I would find my answers… If I could ask them more about the witches then I could find a way to help cookie kind.” White Lily Cookie’s hand traced the now empty pedestal with a distant look in her eyes. “Do you wanna know what I did?” She asked to the cookie behind her. “I stole that book, used it to open a portal to that discarded realm. And I ended up cursing this school.”

White Lily Cookie turned around to face Garlic Bread Cookie. Her eyes were more clear yet they seemed to glow red. “It was a miracle that me and Pure Vanilla Cookie survived. But everyone else died, becoming ghosts to these lands… I never even got my answer.” The cookie tilted her head slightly as she continued to stare at the cookie before her. “Tell me, Garlic Bread Cookie. What do you think cookies were made for? Why were we baked?” The air around them felt hot as Garlic Bread Cookie gripped his staff tighter. He could no longer smell the scent of lilies coming from his sister. All he could smell was ash.

“Garlic Bread Cookie! White Lily Cookie! We have a problem!” Hybrid Cookie’s voice called out across the rows of books. Her voice was accompanied by the sound of booming. But it was different from the booming coming from the ghost. More quieter, and almost ringing. Turning around, Garlic Bread Cookie could see the cookie rushing towards them. “There’s these cookies in white mask. They have these giant silver forks and bright magic or whatever destroying the academy!” Some of the booming was heard close by. “I managed to block the door but I don’t know how it will last. We need to get the kids and get out of here.”

The heat around the cookies increased as the scent of ash invaded their noses. “Cookies in white mask…” Garlic Bread Cookie slowly looked behind to see White Lily Cookie’s form shifting. Her dough was slowly becoming more burnt, her floral clothes turning black and red, and her braid was slowly becoming undone. “They were there. They were worshiping the witches at the banquet. Bringing lambs into the slaughter.” White Lily Cookie’s voice sounded tired and shocked at the same time. Her eyes stared into nothing as fear slowly stepped in. “I remember those screams… I remember the sound of their dough crunching with each bite… And all they did was chant that horrible song…”

Hybrid Cookie and Garlic Bread Cookie felt a crushing weight in their chest as White Lily Cookie’s long hair slowly crept across the row of books. “Those… Those fools!” A wave of heat came off of White Lily Cookie as her form shifted into one of fire. She screamed out in pain and agony. Garlic Bread Cookie held out his staff, using his magic to block the rushing heat. Hybrid Cookie held close behind as darkness started to envelope the 3. “They allowed those innocent cookies to suffer! Their rituals… Their experiments… And that wicked priest…” From the fire a large smile could be seen as the sound of howling came from the darkness. “I will make sure that the witches will never touch this world again.”

A wicked laugh echoed across the darkness as the small bit of light from Garlic Bread Cookie’s staff started to grow dim. The two cookies could barely think over the blinding heat and the creeping darkness. The laughter died down as the figure before them reached out her hands. “Don’t worry, I won’t let them hurt you. So rest now, allow me to deal with these cookies who foolishly worship the witches.” The light from Garlic Bread Cookie’s staff fully extinguished as the two cookie’s minds fell into the darkness around them. Figures came out from the darkness as the cookie figure sat down, gently stroking the two cookie’s heads.

“Don’t worry, my hounds will protect those kids.”

I finally finished this chapter! I wrote like half of it until I lost motivation and didn’t know what else to write. So I took a break but with Act 2 now out I got a wave of inspiration. Have a good day or night everyone!

Shadow Milk Cookie X Reader: Once Upon a Time

There were many days where you would spend long hours in the Spire of Deceit. Sometimes even long nights. You spend all of that time with your partner, the master of Deceit himself, Shadow Milk Cookie. But there was an issue, he didn’t need to sleep. You on the other hand needed to. The anxiety of sleeping when you should be spending time with your partner eats away at you. So every time you would feel like falling asleep, you would do everything you can to stay awake. Biting your tongue, being around loud noises, or drinking energy drinks that you would sneak into the spire.

Unfortunately Shadow Milk Cookie noticed your attempts at staying awake. At first he found it amusing how you were able to keep yourself awake. As time went on however he found how annoying it was. Dark circles appearing under your eyes, the slight swaying of your dough whenever you stand, and the long pauses as you try to answer questions. Were you not getting any sleep at home? It reminded him of the long nights he would spend answering questions from annoying gnats. Luckily, he had a plan to help with your sleep.

The visit was like any other at the Spire, at first at least. The Beast had brought you to a large theatre within the Spire. Shadow Milk Cookie had a challenge, you had to watch a play that he was working on but with a catch. You had to keep your eyes on the play and not take your eyes off for even a second. If you did take your eyes off of it, then the play would reset and start again. If you could last until the end of the play, then you could order Shadow Milk Cookie around for the entire day. Where there would be no complains. It sounded sweet of ordering around the Beast of Deceit. So with a confidence grin you accepted the challenge.

Shadow Milk Cookie guided you over to a special spot in the sea of theatre seats. Until the others this seat was large and plush. As soon as you sat down a soft blanket appeared on your lap. “You get to have the special seat. Not too close, not too far back, perfect where you could easily see the stage and nothing else! I only give this seat to my most special guest,” he said, kissing her cheek. Before vanishing in a puff of smoke the other seats were filled with flat puppet cookies. They all clapped and cheered as the blue curtains slowly rolled open. Soft music played in the background as a puppet walked onto the stage.

“Once upon a time, there was a princess who was beloved by all,” Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice said all around the theater. “Because she was such a beloved princess she gave all of her energy to make her people happy. Unfortunately that meant staying up late for long hours just to please them. Until one day the princess found out that she couldn’t fall asleep.” A wave of gaps came from the puppet crowd. You couldn’t help but chuckle a little at this. “So the princess went in search of the legendary Snake of Sleep. A snake that will help anyone fall into a deep sleep.”

As Shadow Milk Cookie continued to narrate you had begun to feel the effect of tiredness washing over you. Without looking away you dug into your pocket to pull out a starched energy drink. Before you could even open the drink it was snatched out of your hands. “Sorry, no outside food or drinks allowed,” Black Sapphire Cookie said before you. Candy Apple Cookie suddenly came rushing in from the ally of seats and tackled you slightly on your side. Her sticky syrup somehow grabbing all of your spare energy drinks right from your pockets.

“G-Give those back!”

The two minions ran off as you turned back around to the stage. The blue curtains slowly rolled open. Soft music played in the background as a puppet walked onto the stage. “Once upon a time, there was a princess who was beloved by all,” Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice said all around the theater. “Because she was such a beloved princess she gave all of her energy to make her people happy. Unfortunately that meant staying up late for long hours just to please them. Until one day the princess found out that she couldn’t fall asleep. So the princess went in search of the legendary Snake of Sleep. A snake that will help anyone fall into a deep sleep.”

You bit your tongue as you watched the puppet slowly walk across the stage, trying to stay awake. “The princess walked on hours on end. Her legs feeling heavier with each second. Yet her mind was still wide awake. Until she found herself a beautiful lake with soft rolling waves.” The music slowly faded away as the sound of waves filled the theater. The puppet’s figure was before a lake and you watched as the waves rolled to a fro. “Exhausted, the princess dipped her legs into the water. Feeling the waves gently massage her tired legs.”

As the puppet’s legs hit the water you couldn’t help but feel your own legs feeling heavy. And then the rolling waves. You immediately snapped up and pulled the blanket to look at your legs. The feeling of washing waves vanished but your legs still felt heavy. You moved them a bit in hopes of waking up your legs. After a little bit of moving them you placed the blanket back on your legs and looked back at the play.

“Once upon a time, there was a princess who was beloved by all,” Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice said all around the theater. “Because she was such a beloved princess she gave all of her energy to make her people happy. Unfortunately that meant staying up late for long hours just to please them. Until one day the princess found out that she couldn’t fall asleep. So the princess went in search of the legendary Snake of Sleep. A snake that will help anyone fall into a deep sleep. The princess walked on hours on end. Her legs feeling heavier with each second. Yet her mind was still wide awake. Until she found herself a beautiful lake with soft rolling waves. Exhausted, the princess dipped her legs into the water. The same feeling of waves rolling across your legs returned. You once again had to look back down at your legs, seeing no waves. A sigh escaped your lips as you once again placed the blanket back on your legs. “Sorry, I thought I felt something,” you said, hoping that Shadow Milk Cookie would hear. But all you heard was his voice once again fill up the entire theater as the story returned to the beginning. The music playing in the background sounded slightly different than before. Much calmer, almost like a lullaby, until the sound of waves replayed the music instead.

“Exhausted, the princess dipped her legs into the water. Feeling the waves gently massage her tired legs.” That same feeling returned to your legs, but this time you didn’t look. This might have been a trick from Shadow Milk Cookie to make you feel something in order for you to look away. It was clever, but you won’t be fooled again. “The princess stayed there, feeling the sand slowly slip under her feet as the waves pulled her closer and closer.” Your eye lids began to flutter as the rolling feeling spread farther up your legs and to your hips. Instinctively you slapped your cheeks with both hands. Not enough to hurt but enough to wake you up.

Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice continued as a shimmering light could be seen coming from the lake. “From the lake, small magical bobbles clung to the princess’s gown, keeping her afloat as she stepped further into the lake.” Your eye lids once again felt heavy as it felt like small little massages rubbed onto your dough. You tried to lift your arms up once more to slap your face but the movement was slow. Not enough to wake you. You could hear Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice continue on with the play as your eye lids closed. At first you thought it was a blink but when you could feel the reach of sleep start to take hold you snapped your eye lids open.

“Once upon a time,” Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice said more softer as the curtains opened once more. The music had stopped as the sound of rolling waves filled the theater along with Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice. But it was hard to focus on his voice as the feeling of waves across your legs and the small massages never stopped. You didn’t even make it back to the lake part of the play as your eye lids closed once again. Head slightly resting on your chest.

You opened your eyes again, seeing the curtains open. “Once upon a time.” And then the soft rolling sound of waves as Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice melted with the sound. Like his own voice was the waves themselves. You didn’t even realize this time your eyes lids growing heavy once again and your head resting again on your chest. You could hear the play continue in the darkness before you once again lifted your head back up. “Once upon a time.” Your eyes would feel heavy, dough relaxing under the feeling of waves and massages as Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice followed you in the darkness. Then you would open them again, seeing the curtains pull back, only to have your eyes close once again.

“Once upon a time.”

…

“Once upon a time, there was a very stubborn yet beloved princess.” You lifted your head, expecting to see the play. But you were sitting in a thrown, a crown weighing heavy on your head with long soft fabric making up your dress. “They would spend all of their time and energy making their citizens happy. Unfortunately that meant staying up late for long hours just to please them. Until one day the princess found out that they couldn’t fall asleep.” Before realizing it you lifted yourself from the thrown and started to walk. “So the princess went in search of the legendary Snake of Sleep. A snake that will help anyone fall into a deep sleep.”

You walked and walked, feeling how heavy and tired your legs had gotten. The world around you shifted from a brilliant castle to one of a calming forest. As you walked you couldn’t help but feel your dough going slightly side to side. It was hard to continue walking in a straight line, but you had to walk a straight line. You couldn’t remember why. But you had to. Eventually you could see a brilliant lake, one of the same color as the yogurt river in the spire. Even the sweet smell that filled your lungs. You could hear Shadow Milk Cookie’s voice in the background continuing the play. But it all melted into the background of the rolling waves. Or, were those the waves themselves?

Those same waves caressing your legs as you walked in. You wanted to feel more. Feel the waves carry you away. Small glowing orbs came over to you, rubbing themselves into your dough as you felt every tension leave as your dough went farther into the lake. The bubbles gently rolled you onto your back, allowing you to see the shimmering night sky as the stars shifted slowly into different constellations. Waves gently soothing themselves in your ears as they and the bubbles relaxed your entire body. “The magical bubbles gently floated the princess across the lake and onto a small island,” a voice said coming from the waves.

You felt something slither around your waist before you were lifted up into the air, still feeling the waves and bubbles all across your dough. Your limbs swayed to a fro with no resistance as Shadow Milk Cookie’s face came into view. His lower half was that of a long black snake tail with blue diamonds scattered about. Coils gently adjusted themselves allowing you to more easily see the beast as he gently held your face. “The princess had finally found the Snake of Sleep. Where they had the best, deepest sleep of their life.” Shadow Milk Cookie gently kissed your forehead as the curtains finally closed shut. Or, did you finally allow your eyes to close? It didn’t matter, you just wanted one thing.

You just wanted to sleep…

The puppets silent clapped as Shadow Milk Cookie held your now limb sleeping form. All wrapped up in his tail. He gave a quick bow to the audience and waved at his minions, now in your seat with their own silent claps. “Looks like we both won,” the beast said quietly to your sleeping mind. “You finally get some proper sleep, and you can make me do anything for one day.” A small portal appeared below him as he slowly brought his snake tail down into it. On the other side was a room, filled with the sound of those rolling waves and a soft warm bed. “But I guess you don’t even know that you did win.”

Shadow Milk Cookie curled around your sleeping form. “Guess that’s my little secret. But I do hope that you won’t keep this whole idea of you needing to stay up for me.” He gently scratched your scalp causing you to lean into his touch. “If you feel even the tiniest bit of sleep. I won’t be mad if you want to just sleep.” Shadow Milk Cookie leaned in closer, holding you both gentle and tighter. “We can even try this little challenge again. If you can stay awake next time.”
