“one year ago today, i almost died.” rhea was over it - and she’d spent the past year telling anyone that asked that she was. sure, a chunk of ceiling debris had fallen on top of her, and yeah, if it hadn’t been for her brothers powers, they BOTH would have been windsor pancakes, but… they weren’t, and it was true that as much as a person could get over that experience, she had. “but i DIDN’T, so- if there’s anything worth drinking to, it’s that,” holding up her drink and offering the edge of it to the other, she smiled, “cheers.”
victoria blinked at the suddent statement, granted rhea had said somethign about celebrating but she hadn’t specified until now. had she been drinking while the other woman said that, she probably would’ve choked on it. “that’s a way to put it,” she commented, as the other seemed so chill about it. “you got that right, it’s not everyday you can say that.” she said raising her glass and taking a sip.
