Ogryn soldier finds a baby after battle. No parent in sight, area is desolated and all other civilians are either dead or evacuated. Ogryn sees this and goes "My baby now". Keeps baby secret from the commissar (like a kid hiding a kitten from their parents). The other ogryn knows though and together they put their shared braincell to use to raise the baby.

Plot twist, baby is a shard of the Emperor. Ogryn does not realize because they see baby glowing or some shit and just go "some lil' ones do that" and move on.
