It went down hill from there, with every leader o’their own respective hell came out to kill Tier. Ends up, Guido kills him and becomes king o’hell. Now I’m here.”

『〆– ❝I’m good.❞ Illyana’s decline had nothing to do with spite or ill will, rather anxiousness. If MAGIK could read her former teammate’s thoughts, then she would have thoroughly agreed: their separation had lasted for a greater time that hadn’t sat well with her. But the fact remained, that it translates to something as simple as this–distance meant new differences. It had taken Rahne a significant amount of time to grow used to the person the sorceress had no choice but to become, and although she did not fear a REVERT back to old ways, Illyana could not help but ( ponder ) the possibility for the difficulty a new breath of life into their friendship may bring into their lives.   She had changed, there was no doubt that the other woman had to; time worked and waited for no one after all. A small smile curled onto full lips, ones that hardly gave way to affection unless the lucky one to receive held the utmost importance. A loved one–Wolfsbane was certainly adored. ❝More interested in your time.❞  A tease, genuine of course, but nothing less and nothing more. ❝Sit down, will you? You’re starting to make nervous…don’t worry about what you’ve got to say. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard weirder things come out of Bobby’s mouth than you can ever shock me with.❞ 

     Looked like there wouldn’t be any delaying in the story telling. Rahne pursed her lips together in apprehension, letting out a sigh after a few moments and nodded. She took a seat across the blonde, a weary smile appearing for only a few moments. How did she start this?

     She began with her brief stint with X-Factors Investigations and moved onto being part of X-Force, for a time, and took her time explaining her being brainwashed, attacking Warren, eventually eating her own father. (While she’d accepted that as a fact, the redhead didn’t like it by any means.) Briefly talking about her time with Hrimhari - purposely leaving out explicit details, and the reveal that she had been carrying his child (which had been killing her from the inside, until Elixir had been revived by Hela and he saved her at Hrimhari’s request). The return of Selene, and their triumph over her.

     Rahne proceeded to continue the story with her return to XFI, a warm smile gracing her lips as she reminisced of her bonding once again with Rictor, and getting used to Shatterstar. The beginning of the end on a Sunday and Shatterstar had joined her, as she’d planned on going to church. Demons, hell hounds, ghosts, practically everything chasing her because of the child she was carrying. Meeting Jack Russel and going on the run with him (and included the totally cliched ‘Come with me if you want to live’ line he’d used).

     Her experience with giving birth, in a rather unconventional way, came next, a few tears cascading down her cheeks as she recalled the utter fear and revulsion of her boy. Coming to terms with what had happened, the road trip she’d gone on with Lorna and Terry that helped speed the process along. Leaving XFI again to go after her son, Rictor and Shatterstar accompanying her. The long days it had been before they found him, the relief and love she felt when they did. The utter betrayal coursing through her when Darwin tried to shoot Tier.

     All hells breaking loose, their rulers coming forth to kill Tier, to become the supreme ruler. Their trials of fighting said rulers, coming down to Mephisto. The soulless Guido impaling Tier before he could finish the bastard-- her hands clenched, her nails growing for several moments before retracting.

     “ ‘e left me in Vermont after taking the title. ‘Fore I could gut him. I was deacon for a while, at that church with John, after I saved ‘is life. Decided tha’ I was ready to move on with m’life and been about. And you’re all caught up with what’s happened t’me.”

     It would start with small gestures at first - little pecks on the cheek, hand holding, sitting close to her partner (maybe even curling up with them). Maybe a few small gifts, something she wrote or made by hand because she knows how much more they mean to people, even if it isn’t what she pictured in her head. The way she shows she trusts and loves her partner wholeheartedly is not hiding herself. She wouldn’t hold back from changing into her lupine form while around them, would be as open as she could with whatever was bothering her- Rahne would tell them everything, eventually, segment by segment.
