So... These past few days have been unexpected. On Sunday I was packed and ready to go on a free trip to Amsterdam with university in the evening. I even prepared food, had my euros sorted and maps printed. I put a load of songs on my iPod ready to keep me sane on the coach journey... I let myself get excited. 2 minutes before going to meet the coach I had an anxiety attack. Instead of doing something that would have been amazing, I curled up in bed and cried. Anxiety is not romantic or a "lovable trait", it's a piece of shit brick wall that gets in the way of opportunities that may not arise again. I do not regret not going, as I will get better and go when I am ready, but I regret letting it stop me from doing it in the first place. Anyway... I'm going home to spend time with my family, and I treated myself to some new books to take myself out of reality for short periods of time. I recommend this author if you are an avid fan of John Green (like myself) as it's definitely as relatable as his stories. Enjoy the rest of your week.
