ok heres my bigass Hater Rant for Weapon X, Lies, and DVD's☝️
no montage about why or how logan got sabretooth and deathstrike to join? or why logan clearly still hated sabretooth despite INVITING him? was there no point of showing him being happy about seeing them again in the previous episode?
the episode only really half talks about morphs motives for joining, and thats just cuz of 'wanting to go around with whatever logan does' without properly getting into their actual reason. and where did they get the team x suit? did logan tell him about team x? if that was the case, he wouldve mentioned him n sabretooth being partners, right? so why did morph still say that sabretooth was his enemy? why tell about deathstrike, but not sabretooth?
sabretooths emotions n depth was taken away againnnnn and the show forgot they used to be partnerrssssssss and didnt even mention it a single timeeeeeee
no silverfox? no silverfox mention at all? just a cameo in the intro and dvd scene? like if they were going for gender diversity and racial diversity, she was right fucking there already. shes ready to go. shes still alive btw! marvel keeps forgetting shes ALIVE!!!!! and EXISTS!!!!!! or alternatively they couldve given dr hines some screen time as the Final Girl Survivor or some shit. deathstrike felt out of place, and she didnt even really talk to logan...
its like the writers forgot that logan sees morph as his friend too. the reason hes been distant and lied about the motive of the mission isnt cuz he doesnt like morph, its cuz hes bad at talking about being vulnerable or asking for help. thats the whole reason its a TEAM mission, cuz he wanted to mask being nervous about getting the adamantium back on his own. but they didnt elaborate on any of that, so i feel like the writers just didnt even think about that shit at all, choosing to make logan just seeing morph as a teammate instead(cuz logans boring and heartless and is only capable of caring about One person in his entire life, jean, not even caring about his old team x buddies or ex gf)

last time we saw graydon, viewers kinda thought he got killed, right? i mean it was kinda the implication. so for this episode to be like 'yea he actually let him go' WHAT WAS THE MEETING LIKE? WHAT KINDA CIVIL CONVERSATION DID THEY HAVE? WHERES GRAYDON NOW? WHAT DOES HE ACTUALLY THINK OF HIS KID?
'And I stopped counting birthdays at 200' hes not that old. hes not that fucking old. we already have his fucking CHILDHOOD BACKSTORY from Weapon X, Lies, and Video Tape. and to figure out roughly when that flashback happened, jeans were invented in 1873, which was only 124 years prior to 1997. im killing these lazy ass writers if anyone ever claims sabretooth or wolverine to be over 200 ever again
how did omega red get captured. why did omega red get captured. WHEN did omega red get captured. i havent watched many omega red episodes, but im pretty sure the last we saw of him he was in a submarine at the bottom of the ocean

the aliens chose to infect logan despite sabretooth being shown to be better than him. what was the point of that beginning scene showing that off? nothing? no point in mystery i guess (just cuz logans catchphrase is him being the best at what he does, it doesnt mean the aliens KNOW OF IT)
there were still aliens out in the woods, they obviously wouldnt have been killed by the explosion. anybody care? anybody gaf? no? (not like this episode is ever gonna be referenced ever again anyway, cuz its just a dumb pointless filler to get wolverines claws back or whatever)
whyyyy was there a ship in the weapon x facility. wolverine just said they were going to the vehicle bay to 'get some wheels'
what the fuck was the point of all the dvds if we only got shown ONE of them? why was x-23 there? there was a fuck ton of references to weapon plus(AND morph turning into deadpool) will we ever get a weapon plus episode? the episode literally has DVD in the title but that shit got replaced by 90% of the episode being alien fight scenes and being a bare bones rip off of The Thing without any actual mystery plot
nobody talked about their past. why did no one use their fucking words.
why tf did they kill off maverick. shock value? fucking cheap shock value cuz its all an 'adult' show now and we dont like the power of friendship saving the fucking day? same reason they killed off the other guy, just to flex on the gore
logan got his claws back without him even being shown processing or dealing with the bone claws, like the comics. its all just empty comic book references without any actual use for them
the voice acting was paced wrong and it was pissing me off. like. yea, it was an ok replacement for don francks, i didnt hate it. its not the voice thats the problem(tho i do deeply miss his original voice), it was the fucking directing for it. who tf directed this. who tf storyboarded this shit for that matter, its been so mid……..like u can still pull off good expressions and acting with budget limitations. anime does it all the time, even the original show did it. everyone just looked like -_- the whole fucking time WHERES THE EMOTIONNNN WHERES THE PERSONALITYYYYY
we didnt even get another team x flashback. just in the intro sequence. they haaaaate team x.
the pacing of the episode was just. bad. it reminded me of modern comics where they dont know how to use the pacing right in order to fully flesh out a scene before moving on, using up all their episode time for endless fight scenes instead of actual character plot
(thats all the immediate stuff of the top of my head, theres likely a lot more that i cant remember atm)
