Y/n slowly shut off her alarm and opened her phone slightly confused. She looked at her background and furrowed her brows.
LOOK AT THE WALL!!!
She glanced over at the wall and saw multiple pieces of papers taped up. She read each of them carefully.
YOU HAVE ANTEROGRADE AMNESIA! YOU GOT INTO A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. YOU'RE PARENTS MOVED AWAY FOR A BUSINESS TRIP AND LEFT YOU WITH JIN, AKA DAD'S BEST FRIEND. JIN, IROHA, AND YOUR TEACHERS ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT KNOW ABOUT YOUR CONDITION. GO TO YOUR LAPTOP!
Y/n slipped her slippers on and moved to her desk. She slowly opened her laptop and saw journal entries going back almost a year. She furrowed her brows deeper as she read.
"Y/n?" A voice called outside her door. She walked over and opened the door softly.
"Yes?" She said peeking outside the door. Jin smiled softly holding a glass of chocolate milk and some pills.
"I have your medication. How'd you sleep?" Y/n opened the door further. She grabbed her pills and slowed them down with the chocolate milk.
"I don't remember..." She drifted off before taking another long swig of the chocolate milk. Jin smiled sadly and wiped the milkstache left on her upper lip.
"It's okay. I'll let you get ready then. Waffles or pancakes?" He asked taking the empty cup back.
"Waffles." She said like it was instinct. Jin smiled a bit wider and nodded.
"Waffles." He confirmed and closed the door softly. Y/n looked back at her room seeing her school uniform. She tried so hard to remember, but...nothing.
"Yunho! Come on!" Gunho yelled up the stairs. Yunho rubbed his chest and opened the door.
"I'm ready. Stop yelling." Yunho said coming down the stairs. He threw his backpack on and walked into the kitchen. "Where's Dad?"
Gunho shrugged. "Probably still asleep."
"So no lunches..." Yunho thought for a moment before pulling his wallet out. He had $75. He handed Gunho $25.
"What's this for?" He asked confused.
"Lunch. And only lunch." Yunho put his wallet back into his backpack.
Gunho nodded before swinging his own backpack on. Yunho led the two out the door and locked it behind him. He knew his dad was probably just worn out from the night before. His dad was a cafe owner but the cafe turned into a bar after 8pm.
"Be good." Yunho said as Gunho's bus arrived.
"I always am." Gunho said with a shrug and got onto the bus. The younger boy was immediately greeted by some of his friends. Yunho watched the bus leave and took his headphones out. He connected them and clicked on Radiohead. The songs shuffled and Creep blasted through his ears.
"Iroha!" Y/n called out seeing her best friend. Iroha smiled and ran to the girl.
"Hi! I love your hair." Iroha complimented. Jin had dutch braided her hair in two braids.
"Thank you!" Y/n said and the two went inside with smiles.
Behind them, Yunho walked with his head down and music blasting. He was gently shoved as a group of guys ran ahead of him. He recognized Mingi, Wooyoung, Jongho, and San. The school's infamous bullies. Yunho rolled his eyes and kept walking.
He saw the group of guys bolt out his classroom laughing like maniac's. He shook his head and turned the corner into the classroom. He saw Yeosang, his seat partner, cleaning up their desks. Yunho walked up and saw the mess. It was a bunch of broken up chips.
"Sorry." Yeosang mumbled moving a bit faster as he cleaned.
"You need to learn to stand up for yourself." Yunho said softly as he put his bag down. Yeosang nodded in understanding. Yunho sighed and left the room.
"Hey! Mingi!" Yunho said entering the next room.
"How can I be of service, Mr. Jeong?" Mingi teased making his friends laugh.
"Leave Yeosang alone." Mingi raised a brow as Yunho's assertive tone before falling into a giggling fit.
"Why? Is he your boyfriend?" Wooyoung laughed slapping San's shoulder. Mingi recovered and saw Y/n being asked out..again.
"Hey, look." The whole group looked and saw Soobin being rejected by Y/n.
They all knew who she was. She was the prettiest girl in school. The girl every guy wanted. The girl every girl wanted to be. However, she only hung out with one person, Iroha, and rejected any guy that asked her out.
Mingi's face lit up, "Ask her out."
"What?" Yunho's face fell into disbelief.
"Ask Y/n out and, maybe, we'll leave Yeosang alone." Mingi smirked as did his friends.
"You're an idiot." Yunho said before the first bell rang. He heard the bell and walked out to his classroom. He sank into the seat next to Yeosang.
He looked out the window and thought about Mingi's offer. It was complete bullshit. He knew that. He knew that Mingi and his goons wouldn't leave Yeosang alone if he went through with it, but...what if he did?
Gym came quickly for the class. Yunho was allowed to sit out because of his condition. He sat on the bleachers scrolling on his phone. He glanced over and saw Yeosang sitting a few feet away from him. He looked at the boy closely and noticed the boot on his foot.
He heard laughs and looked over seeing Y/n kicking a soccer ball. He couldn't help but smile softly. He heard knocking and turned towards the school. He groaned softly seeing Mingi and his friends.
Jongho held up a sign to the window as the others laughed hard, YUNHO + YEOSANG ❤︎.
He huffed and turned back to look at the group of people playing soccer. He saw Y/n celebrating with a group of girls as she scored a goal.
The worst thing she could say is no, right?
The classroom shuffled out as the lunch bell rang. Yunho reached into his bag to grab his money. He heard the laughs and stomps of Mingi, San, Jongho, and Wooyoung.
"So, did you think about my proposal?" Mingi said pulling the chair out from the desk in front of Yunho's. Yeosang tried to leave but San put him right back into his seat. Wooyoung sat right next to Mingi and Jongho stood next to Yunho's seat.
"I just have to ask her out? That's all? You'll leave Yeosang alone." Yunho questioned still feeling suspicious. Mingi glanced at Wooyoung and nodded.
"We pinky promise, Jeong." Wooyoung remarked jokingly. Yunho nodded and quickly stood from his seat.
"Oh shit!" The group whispered to eat and followed him quickly. San dragging a limping Yeosang with them.
Yunho walked down the stairs quickly as the boys behind him almost fell. Yunho finally spotted the girl on her phone. Mingi and the others positioned themselves around the girl to get a video of Yunho getting shut down. Mingi and San, who was holding Yeosang, on one side and Wooyoung and Jungho on another. All of them held their phones out.
Y/n was texting Jin to ask about her lunch. She had forgotten it on the counter. Her service wasn't working so she held her phone up trying to find signal.
"Hello." She looked up and saw Jeong Yunho. She only know who he was because Iroha had him as a partner for one of their electives in middle school.
"Hi." She said putting her phone down. Yunho wiped his hands on his pants.
He took a deep breath out and, "Will you go out with me?"
Silence.
"Yes."
Silence.
Yunho began to walk away but stopped. He looked at Mingi, who, just like everyone else, held shocked faces. "What?"
"I'll meet you after school." Y/n smiled before she walked off to meet Jin at the entrance for her lunch. She walked past the other guys who cleared a path for her. Once she was gone, Yeosang clapped for the boy but San gently kicked his injured foot to make him stop.
"Congrats." Mingi started but Yunho was already walking away, still in a state of shock.
Yunho walked back into the building. He went in the cafe to quickly pay for a hot lunch. He grabbed his hot sandwich and went back to the classroom. He saw Yeosang sitting with his lunchbox open. He took the seat next to him.
"I'm sorry." Yeosang mumbled picking at his carbonara shyly.
"They should leave you alone now." Yunho said opening his sandwich and the two ate in silence. The only noises being the occasional slurp from Yeosang and the crumbling of the wrapper from Yunho's sandwich.
The final bell rang and Yunho didn't move as the rest of the class scurried out immediately. He looked out the window thinking before he began to pack up his stuff.
"Hello." Y/n said sitting in front of the boy with a wide smile.
"Hello." Yunho quickly responded a bit startled. Y/n laughed gently at his expression.
"Give me your phone." Y/n held her hand out and Yunho placed his phone in her hand. Y/n began to type quickly. She handed the phone back and Yunho saw her contact information.
"I have three rules for dating." Y/n said casually with a shrug. Yunho almost died in that moment.
"Dating?!" Yunho whiper-yelled running a hand through his hair. "I'm gonna be honest here...I only asked you out to get Yeosang out of trouble."
"Oh. Nothing harms having a little fun?" Y/n said with a goofy smile. Yunho nodded dumbly letting the girl continue. "Anyways, rule one, keep contact short. Rule two, at school we keep our distance. Finally, rule three, don't fall for each other."
Yunho furrowed his brows. She was very confusing. She put her hand out for him to shake. Yunho looked deeply at her hand. He didn't know what to think.
"Deal." Yunho shook her hand. Y/n nodded and pulled her phone out.
"Favorite color? Favorite food? Favorite number?" Y/n asked rapidly. She looked up from her phone.
"Uh....Green, noodles, and 8?" Yunho answered hesitantly. Y/n typed all the information down and stood up.
She began walking out and Yunho watched her with his mouth open, confused. She stopped at the door, "Are you coming?"
"Yes!" He exclaimed quickly gathering his things. He threw his backpack and walked with her.
She asked him a bunch more questions until they reached the bus stop. They sat and waited for the bus.
"What's your MBTI?" She asked looking up at him.
He hesitated again, "I've never taken it."
"Oh." She typed it before moving to her next question, "What about sports? Do you have a favorite one? Do you play any?"
"I like soccer and I, um, I don't like running, so I don't play any." Yunho instinctively rubbed his chest. Y/n nodded and typed again.
"Doesn't like to run..." She mumbled as she typed. The bus pulled up and the two stood quickly.
Yunho let the girl step on the bus first. Y/n tapped her card and found a seat. She sat down and patted the spot next to her for Yunho. Yunho glanced around as if she was asking someone else. He sat down softly next to her.
"Anything else you want to know?" Yunho asked looking out the window over her head.
"Who's your favorite singer? Mine is...um not important." She laughed nervously looking down. Yunho raised a brow and took his phone out.
"It's more of a group. Radiohead." Yunho showed her his spotify. It was full of different playlists but most of it consisted of Radiohead.
"I've never heard of them." She said handing him his phone back. She quickly typed it into her phone.
"Favorite subject?" She questioned.
"Math." She scrunched her face in disgust. Yunho snickered at her expression. "What?"
"Nothing. Oh! This is my stop." She said standing up as the bus came to a stop. Yunho stood up with her. She tilted her head confused.
"I'll walk you. My house isn't very far from here." Yunho explained. Y/n nodded and the two walked off the bus.
The walk to her house was silent. A comfortable silence. Y/n looked around and smiled at people walking by.
"This is my house." Y/n said looking up at the worndown house. Yunho looked at the house and saw the rustic white chipped paint, the bright flowers, and the open window where he heard an older man singing.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Yunho said awkwardly. Y/n smiled and grabbed his hand. She quickly pulled him into a hug. He stiffened at the contact before relaxing and hugging her back.
He felt her smile against his chest, "Thank you."
"Y/n/n, is that you?" Jin stuck his head out the open window. He had an apron with little tuna fishes on it on and was mixing something in a bowl. "Who's that?"
"I'm coming inside! Keep cooking!" Jin shrugged and eyed the boy before going back inside.
"Fine! Make it quick! I know you hate soggy rice!" Jin exclaimed back making the girl laugh.
"I'll let you go then." Y/n nodded and walked into the house. Yunho watched the girl go. He made sure she made it inside safely and began his journey back to his own home.

"Six bucks." Ilia said approaching the girls with Isabeau. Y/n's smile widened and Amber shook her head.
"No, backflips. Save it for the ice. Good to know you figured out what you're supposed to be wearing." Amber teased, gently shoving Ilia.
"Alright, so basically how about we stop making fun of me?" Ilia suggested but all the girls shook their heads, denying his request.
"What do you think Jun was talking about in his text? His friend saves puppies?" Isabeau asked putting her hands in her pockets.
"Who knows. He's a strange guy." Y/n shrugged looking around. Everyone was getting ready to start.
"Looks like we're starting." Amber mumbled and the group dispersed moving into their specific places.
AFTER OPENING CEREMONY / OLYMPIC VILLAGE
"Sunghoon?" Junhwan called out as everyone went in different directions to their rooms. Sunghoon turned and smiled at Junhwan.
"My favorite competitor." Sunghoon said hugging Junhwan. Junhwan hugged back with a matching smile.
"How long are you in Milan for?" Junhwan asked letting go.
"2 weeks." He replied putting his hands in his coat pocket.
"So you're staying for our whole portion?" Junhwan asked as they walked towards his building.
"Yeah." He nodded following.
"Was that before or after your crush on my friend?" Junhwan teased bumping shoulders with Sunghoon. Sunghoon shook his head looking down.
"Before. Speaking of, where are we going?" Sunghoon asked and, as if planned, Junhwan's phone went off.
He pulled his phone out of his pockets going over the messages. "I'm gonna change into something more casual and then we'll head to the USA side. We'll meet up with them there."
"Them?" Sunghoon thought only the three of you would be hanging out.
"I forgot to mention...It's the whole friend group. Ilia, Amber, and Isabeau will be with us." Junhwan said entering the building. He held the door for Sunghoon who walked in.
"What?! I didn't plan for a whole group." Sunghoon said slightly nervous. He had only mentally prepared to meet one person not multiple.
"It'll be fun, bro. Now, wait here. Give me like 5 minutes and then we'll head that way." Junhwan said before closing the door. Sunghoon leaned against the wall looking down at his phone. He opened up his own groupchat.
Junhwan emerged from his room in more casual clothes with a chill smile. "You good?"
"Yeah. Lead the way." Sunghoon said sticking his phone in his pocket. He ignored the buzzing.
"Isa! Hold still!" Y/n exclaimed trying to get the girl to stay still. She was braiding her hair while they waited for Junhwan.
"Tell Ilia to leave me alone!" The younger girl argued back glaring at Ilia, who was clearly measing with the girl.
"Ilia, please." Amber said looking up from her phone. Ilia sighed and took a seat next to Amber on the water fountain.
"Where is he?" Ilia asked glancing at Amber.
"He said he was on his way. He' probably waiting for his friend." Amber explained putting her phone in her purse.
"Okay. I'm done." Y/n said smiling at her work. Isabeau pulled out her phone to look at them. She smiled at the camera.
"Thanks!" She said hugging Y/n tightly.
"Of course. Also, I don't understand what he meant by his friend saving puppies? That's such an odd thing to say even for him." Y/n said opening her arms for the breeze on as she stood on the side of the water fountain.
"Six bucks." Ilia said abruptly making the girls look to him.
"What?" Y/n said confused.
"Six bucks to jump in." He clarified glancing at the water.
"Don't do it." Junhwan said approaching the groups.
"Jun!" The group said excitedly. Y/n jumped down from the fountain as the others tackled him a group hug. The other let go and Y/n quickly tackled him in a hug. Junhwan hugged back.
Sunghoon felt his world stop. She was prettier in person. He was also quick to notice the Mingi pc hanging from your purse. Apart of him felt a flare of jealousy.
"I'd like to introduce you guys to my friend, Sunghoon. We used to skate against each other when we were younger." Junhwan said slapping Sunghoon on the back. Y/n recognized him but she couldn't remember from where.
"Hi!" Y/n said holding her hand out. Sunghoon glitched for a second before taking her hand. Amber and Isabau glanced at each other. Sunghoon had a little crush.
"Sunghoon, this is Amber, Isabeau, and Ilia. You've already met Y/n." Junhwan said point to everyone else. Sunghoon waved at them and the other waved back. "Okay, where are we going?"
"Blues Canal. It's a small little pub like 5 minutes away." Amber explained pulling up the location on her maps.
"Let's go!" Y/n said excitedly. The group followed Amber as she began to argue with Ilia on where they were going. Isabeau and Junhwan fell into conversation leaving Y/n and Sunghoon lingering in the back.
"Have you ever been to Milan?" Y/n asked Sunghoon with a curious gaze.
"Yeah, uh, the beginning of last year." Sunghoon said with a nervous smile.
"Oh, that's cool. This is my first time. You're so mysterious." Y/n said with a laugh making Sunghoon blue lightly. He was grateful it was dark.
"Here!" Amber cheered seeing the bar across the street making Ilia roll his eyes. Y/n sent a smile to Sunghoon before running to cross the street with Amber.
"You coming?" Junhwan asked looking to Sunghoon. Sunghoon pulled himself together and quickly caught up with the group.
Y/n was slow dancing with Amber and Isabeau on the floor as Piano Man played through the speakers. She was slightly tipsy and you could tell by the flush in her cheeks. Sunghoon watched her like she hung the stars.
"You like her?" Ilia asked taking a drink from his water. Sunghoon cleared his throat and took a long swig of his beer. The same bottle he'd been nursing since they arrived.
"What? No? I just met her." Sunghoon explained putting the bottle down. Ilia and Junhwan looked at each other and laughed.
"You look at her like she hung the stars herself. My only advice...Be good to her. She's had enough people let her down." Ilia said and Sunghoon nodded.
"Enough seriousness. Tell me about the idol life." Junhwan asked putting his own beer down.
"Holy shit. You're an idol?" Ilia asked with wide eyes. Sunghoon smiled and looked down.
Sunghoon saw her stubble outside. Ilia was nursing a tired Amber with the help of Isabeau. Junhwan was closing the tab. He followed her before even thinking twice.
He found her sitting on the sidewalk, just looking up at the sky. He sat next to her without thinking, "Hi."
"Hi." She said not taking her eyes off the stars. "It's beautiful."
"Yeah...it is." He wasn't looking at the sky. Y/n met his gaze and smiled softly.
"So tell me about these puppies you save from fires." She said jokingly making Sunghoon blush, embarrassed.
"Oh. This is embarrassing." He replied letting his head hang in embarrassment.
"I thought it was cute." She said and he looked back up at her. He saw her shiver. She was wearing nothing but a white dress with a very thin cropped cardigan.
"Here." He said quickly slipping his jacket off and wrapping it around her.
"Thank you, but aren't you cold?" She said putting her hands into the sleeves. He had a black long sleeve underneath.
"I'm good." He said with a soft smile. She matched his expression.
"Wait, I do recognize you. You were lingering at my free practice!" She said laughing and he swore his heart grew in size. He couldn't help but laugh with her.
"I did not linger. I was simply...observing." He said making her smile widen.
"Observing?" Y/n teased making Sunghoon look down again to try and hide his smile.
"Observing." Sunghoon stated looking into her eyes deeply. She matched his gaze.
"We're leaving. Amber is starting to get on my nerves." Ilia said dragging the girl behind him. The two jumped up from the curb and turbed to face them.
"We got an Uber. It'll be here." Isabeau said following with all of Amber's belongings.
"Are you heading back with us or?" Junhwan looked to Sunghoon. Sunghoon looked around and recognized the area.
He shook his head. "My hotel is right around the corner. I'll just walk."
"Here, let me give you tour jacket bac-" Y/n started to take the jacket off but Sunghoon stopped her.
"Keep it. It gives us another reason to see each other." Sunghoon said before waving bye and disappearing around the corner.
"That was nice of him." Ilia said with a nod of approval. Y/n stood stunned. She didn't even notice the uber pull up until Isabeau called her name.
She got into the uber, squeezing next to Isabeau. Isabeau, Amber, Ilia, and herself were all squeezed in the back but she could've cared less.
Her mind was clouded with the thoughts of Sunghoon.
