Some photos of Damsel! It will be put online eventually but holding it in your hands feels so good. The last Damsel from 2010 was too glossy so they went with a more matte finish this time - I think it suits this edition. There was a great range of articles, cool art and poems and recipes, and I submitted a quiz! Damsel Speaks might be my favourite page, it feels like an amalgamation of everyone’s efforts and it’s so colourful and bright. But I also lovelovelove Alice’s drawings of all the contributors, Tarryn’s illustrations, and Tricia’s article about Africana womanism.

I really love chicken. My boyfriend says that’s the only food I ever finish. Fried, grilled, in a salad, stir fry, fingers, nuggets, sandwich, if it’s chicken then it’s mine.

I got this image in my head and was like let’s do it. My love for chicken combined with this boss fur makes a good combo.

I know I’m gonna get shit because I’m fat, loungin, eating fried chicken. But like if you don’t eat fried chicken you are hella missin out. Sorry.
