A sneak peek at the Black Hat/Reader Fic I’m working on:

If your intel had been correct, he would soon be leaving the warehouse through the door by which you hid, and would then step directly onto the banishing circle you had meticulously spray painted on to the concrete pathway.

You could hardly contain your excitement at the thought of the haughty villain’s expression twisting to one of confusion and fear once the sigils on the circle lit up, sending him back wherever he came from-

You instinctively froze at the sound of a doorknob turning, and pressed your back further against the wall as a muffled but curt exchanging of words reached your ears. Confident of your incoming success, you leaned forwards at just the right moment to see Black Hat himself step out of the warehouse and into the circle. One polished, spat-clad shoe, then the other… …

But nothing happened.

You bit back a sound of confusion when Black Hat looked down and scowled at your non-glowing, non-FUNCTIONING banishment circle, taking his cane and scuffing the end of it along one of the sigils.

You thought that you must have drawn one of the sigils incorrectly, or not properly closed the outer circle. Gods knew you had that problem with digital art-

Your self-admonishing was cut short when you felt Black Hat’s uncovered eye meet yours. You hadn’t ducked back into your hiding place upon seeing that your Plan A had failed.

He smiled, and your subsequent yelp and flailing were QUITE un-heroic.

So ah if I wrote a Black Hat x Reader thing where the reader is a hero/whatever that tries to use magic/holy water/exorcism on Black Hat only for it to have ZERO effect on him, and for Black Hat to respond to such an attempt to cause him harm appropriately Would anyone wanna read that?

I WOULD TTLY JUMP ON THAT AU OR VERSE OR WHATEVER WITH METTATON AS PRES. BUT HOW WOULD WOULD HUMANS BE AFFECTED?!

well of course this pertains to humans who have fallen into the Underground, yes?They wouldn’t be harmed, no. Quite the opposite, based on Mettaton’s affection for them. He’d probably basically put them on pedestals, ask them for stories from the world above, put on personal performances for them.

Not to say that they’d be treated well, either.Just because he respected them doesn’t mean they’d really be like, nobles or whatever.More like forced to stay against their will, trapped, and forced to say whatever they could to please him.They’d likely have to lie, based on how boring the real world is compared to Mettaton’s expectations. (Our digestive tracks are certainly not lined with glitter from our food, for one.)

I’m pretty sure the snails were Mettaton’s first audience though.  Imagine him as a little ghost-kid preforming in front of them since he didn’t have a real audience when he first realized his passion for acting (or whatever the hell he does on his show).
