Context:

Vardis was Viggo's dragon who fought so many battles along with his rider. Frida is daughter of Hiccup and Viggo.

Vardis saw Viggo dying in battle very long time ago and since then he became almost mad and cruel towards everyone.

Frida became first person who could approach him and claim for herself. His time with her will be full of peace and traveling instead of war.

People don't interact with each other on this site the way they used to.

This is the most followers I've ever had, but also some of the least interaction I've ever had. I don’t get nearly as many asks as I used to. People are silent on my posts. Fic posts don’t get reblogged.

Fandom is a community, not something you consume. Get back to treating it that way.

I feel you, everything seems to slow down. I think it happened because people started to have new interests, not httyd, or just tired to interact. It's sad but I can't judge them. I feel myself isolated and tired too. Dont read anything these days, barely communicate and just doing my own stuff.

I think that we just can't be active all the time and time of silence just come sometimes. Maybe this is time of silence and it will end soon or later.

@evilwriter37 & @worldwhightnight Okay, so normally I'm not this direct, but this has me genuinely curious.

I won't lie I'm very much new to this fandom, but I can see that quite a few people here are veteran fans who've been here a long time. I would like to make connections and just generally talk with the people here, but I'm a bit worried about coming across like a desperate fan or something. I hate seeming overeager.

However, since you both expressed interest with people interacting with your posts, if I were to comment and ask questions, that wouldn't be rude right? I don't want to be annoying anyone, I just want to share my interest in these characters with other people who are also interested.

Because speaking as someone who isn't integrated into the wider group, I can definitely say that fan paralysis is a thing. Reaching out is scary when the possibility of rejection is very real. The last fandom I was apart of years ago was very nasty, so I think some people like me are just guarded. But if interaction is welcome, then I will happily engage with people's posts. <3

In fact, I can understand your fear because I feel the same way. It's mainly because English is not my native language, and sometimes I find it difficult to express myself. This is also one of the reasons why I don't spend as much time on Tumblr.

Also It may seem like I'm a cold and unapproachable person, but I actually want to talk to people more about httyd and creativity. Perhaps one day I will feel better.
