i don't think i ever posted the fact that ranch never quite died. which means i've left this blog alone for... probably two years now? lol. ANYWAY

here's ranch! all along she was... "resting" in the bright realms. it's a long, long story. but she's back and with a new look. she's trying to look up, even when it's hard. welcome back ranch!

[ … ] As the clans are young, tensions over small things come in waves. Culture is still building, holidays unmade, and places yet explored- the time is exciting, as both clans have first generation kits just being made apprentices. However a recent border skirmish has left both clans weary as it resulted indirectly in the death of Bracken Dapple, the mother to Etherclan’s first generation, and Web Shadow the last living parent to Terraclan’s first generation kit. Some question the exact events, and no doubt the lack of answers causes more trouble than good. The two leaders of these young clans can only hope time heals the damage, lest some kind of answer arises to ease other cats’ suspicions. The last gathering was only a few days ago, and the leaders plan to gather their chosen cats next week at sunrise, to explore further out in order and find the best place for the future graves of clanmates. Even though the expedition brings up solemn feelings, there is a buzz of curiosity over what the venturing cats will come across.

The Astronomers is a discord based narrative Warrior Cats Role Play for ages 17 and up. It utilizes dice rolling and simple stats to keep interactions fresh. Between the comforts of traditional ideas and familiar spirits comes new knowledge, the overwhelming concept of outer space and stars. Etherclan and Terraclan are newly formed clans, split by their different idea about the world.

You may apply for Adoptables and Original Characters, but you will only get one! These adopts are inserted into the current story like and will have chances to drive it forward as things unfold.

Update + Buddy System

Hey everyone! So far so good on our end. We’re tying up some loose threads behind the scenes of BLBR. We’ve been settling some overdue crafting tickets and making sure to remind folks to be ready when new folks get here– chiefly just reminding people to provide context for things like inside jokes and BLBR events and the like.

We’ve also got a lot of excitement on our end about the buddy system! You may have seen it mentioned in the application. Since, in-character, the court asks new potential members to be paired with an existing court member to ensure they aren’t a horrifically dangerous individual, we thought we’d make that part of the entry process (with consent from new folks) to make things easier to get into! BLBR can be overwhelming with all the new info, so we love the idea of making sure you’ve got a built in RP buddy that you can not only ask all your lore questions to, but ensure that you aren’t struggling to connect with others for the first few weeks. 

We like to keep all OOC/rolling/blacklist/rules questions directed towards staff for clarity purposes, though. We will give you an assigned staff member to turn to as well. Though you can ask any of the staff, of course, we thought it might make things a little smoother to give you a concrete person to turn to instead of having to pick between any of us. Basically, all of this is focused on trying to make things as direct and simple as possible. Better to be overprepared than terribly underprepared!

I think there’s a lot to be said about introducing new folks to an existing rp. It can be a big challenge sometimes! This is why we’re taking a lot of extra steps to try to ensure things go as smoothly as possible. We want new members to feel at home in BLBR as quickly as they can be. 

I’m excited to see all your applications! I don’t tend to read them until we’re closer to our close date. I’ve skimmed names though and I have read where everyone found out about BLBR from, which was interesting to see!

And here’s the fired Minkblaze, by the way. I put a pink filter over it and drew hearts with my mouse on it just because. His colors are like, shockingly accurate to his actual design though. I got this back a while ago but I forgot to post. He lives in the bottom of my desk lamp now.
