would it be allowed to submit something like "character x reader"? those are technically ships but that could also take up a lot of submissions because there are plenty of those that are annoying

Have there been any submissions that completely blindsided you so far? Like, somebody submitting two characters that you know but that you'd never even heard of anyone shipping together before the submission came in?

once again: no harry potter, no hetalia, no homestuck;

no adult/minor ships (unless there's only a couple of years difference or it's an edward/bella situation); no rpf;

obligatory submit as many ships as you want but only submit each ship once

would be cool if you include your reasoning for submitting a ship; what's bad or annoying about it, why you hate it. please assume i know nothing about the fandom and characters! i might decide to include mini summaries about the ships in the polls.

ok actually uh. can i submit MCYT ships? not RPF ones but c!/roleplay/character ones. like the general in-fandom consensus is that this isn't RPF but i know that outsiders have different levels of comfort with it.

i have no idea what that is. go for it

I assume that incest ships are also banned, correct? Otherwise tons of the submissions would be incest because they make the worst ships.

i haven't banned those because they don't creep me out as much as adult/minor ships, and because i think they're not as OP in this competition. so far no incest ships have been submitted, though!

hello everyone!

we have seen polls for everything, from @bestbutchbracket to @worstdadbracket to @mostannoyingfandom-poll to the hyperspecific population polls by @inthefallofasparrow , to name but a few of my faves. and how to forget the iconic bug race.

here, finally, is the Worst Ship Showdown!

here's how it will work:

- i will post a submissions form at some point before the end of the week; submissions will be open until i decide to close them, and y'all will have a few days' notice for submission closures

- no harry potter, no hetalia, no homestuck. why? cos it's my blog that's why.

- i will seed the bracket according to submissions received

- polls will last a week!

- propaganda is allowed but i won't reblog any on here

i apologize if something similar has been done before, but i have not seen it.

can't think of anything else, so! may the worst ship win!
