Ghost opened his eyes, looking wildly at Draxum. Calm eyes stared back.
āWe will hold him off for the boys,ā Draxum said firmly. āNow focus. Do not let your fear take hold.ā
Ghost took a slow breath and closed his eyes again.
The Shredder struck, again and again. Paced and circled. Sweat ran down Ghostās temple but he was outside of his body, curled around the lair in a protective shell, and he would not open up for anything.
My contributions to @weeklymagmas for Creature Companions! Had so much fun coming up with ways to bring animals and little friends into my drawings, seeing as I don't typically draw anything besides humanoid bodies <3
Welllll I honestly don't know how to respond to this lol. I've been asked this a lot, so all I can offer is my process.
I start with a thumbnail sketch and try not to spend too long on it. Sometimes I'll already have an idea of what I want to do, but most of the time I need a little warm-up for the concepts.
Then I'll move on to sketch 2, which is laying down more shapes and where I want shading to be. Where the weight will be, proportions, etc. After Sketch 2 is the final sketch, which I sometimes swap out for lineart. This is when I refine things and lay down the map to follow for linearts.
Lineart is pretty straightforward, I tend to use sketch brushes/pencil brushes for it if I'm doing a more comic style.
From there is coloring and shading. I'll color lineart once I finish basic rendering so I can have a layout for future renders.
As for resources, I suggest studying artbooks and anatomy books! I've always learned better from doing rather than watching.

As for rendering, I advise not staying on one spot in your color wheel. Shading in green? Use blues and yellows (and some oranges if you're feeling spicy). Shading in blue? Purple, orange, yellow, and red will be your number one besties. Don't be afraid to be weird with color.
These are my personal favorite brushes. I use Clipstudio Paint for drawing and these are all free.
I've personally dedicated well over a decade to learning how to draw, and it's still not enough lol. Don't beat yourself up and remember to look back at how far you've come <3

Donnie reached his side and crouched down to make eye contact with him (or at least eye contact through the red shielding of his helmet) and began checking Leoās pulse. Leo felt content to sag into his brotherās arm and return to his well-deserved rest.Ā
āāM sorryā¦ā His voice felt too thick in his throat. It barely managed to pass his lips before he recognized what he had said.Ā
Donnie paused for a moment. Leo couldnāt quite make out what his twinās scar-ridden face was doing beneath that mask he wore, but Donnieās mind was loud enough for him to understand perfectly what was being said.

Donnie huffed in irritation beneath his helmet, but continued straightening the wounded ankle, beginning to wrap it with torn fabrics already soaked in grime and crusted blood. Reusing bandages had become the strategic choice. They needed everything they could get.
TMNT is such a bizarrely cruel franchise for what it is; EVERY version weāll spend 90% of the story like āHahe funny pizza š¤”ā and then cut to 30 years later and 3 of them are dead and the fourth one goes insane talking to their skulls in a bunker or smth
