It’s been a while~
So...
Why are we not playing WoW, you might ask?
EZ.
But first, a brief history lesson.
I started playing WoW in TBC. It was pretty much just before one of the last major patches. My casual playing continued up to the middle of WOTLK where things weren’t too casual. I was non-existent throughout all of Cata and returned during 5.2 of MoP (when I first started this blog!) I continued to play my not-so casual time throughout the xpac up to a few months of WoD and departed from WoW for a year because of content drought. I returned for a few months and eventually quit before the xpac ended within the final major patch. WE ARE HERE.
WoD left me no hope for the future of WoW but I kept a close eye on it and it would appear that as far as content goes, the game has appeared quite healthy. WOTLK and WoD were the only times I had been on WoW when they launched and whereas WOTLK’s launch was not too bad, WoD’s was just a moment of, “Never again.” Turns out it wound up being a considerably smooth launch.
Even so, I did not want to come back to WoW and feel like the game had so little to offer. It just wasn’t a chance I wanted to take because even if there was no content drought, starting in the middle of the xpac would possibly mean I’d be more likely to play it for longer playing catch up. Perhaps one day I’ll go through an xpac from start to finish when everything is current, but meh... not this time.
We are back for 7.2 and I’m already feeling a bit concerned knowing the class/spec overhauls (or in many cases over-simplifications). Don’t want to log in and be like, “Ugh, they completely destroyed Holy Priest.” Honestly, I’m not even sure where to begin with my characters. I think it’d be best to play it the way I did in MoP and go with the class that I might enjoy the least. Not to sound negative, but I’m wanting to save the favorites for last.
Also, something tells me to give hunter a try again.
That’s when I realized what a true friend was. Someone who would always love you - the imperfect you, the confused you, the wrong you - because that is what friends are supposed to do.

I love Draenei so much
Study me as much as you like, you will never know me, for I differ a hundred ways from what you see me to be. Put yourself behind my eyes, and see me as I see myself, for I have chosen to dwell in a place you cannot see.

Staying in a situation where you’re unappreciated isn’t called loyalty. It’s called breaking your own herat.

Dev Watercooler – Flying in Draenor - World of Warcraft
So people don’t like this idea... but I love it. At first I was a bit apprehensive about flying being allowed at 90 in Draenor, but why not after you’ve achieved loremaster status? It means you’ve seen just about everything.
So now people aren’t upset anymore about flying being banned in Draenor, now they’re upset about how they have to get it, lol. And that’s funny because how much gold did you have to dump to fly in Pandaria (w/o rep bonus) like 8k gold? Think of how much gold you’d make in the process of getting loremaster while not needing to pay a copper for flying? If money ain’t a thang for you, then... you are just left with your own devices to make an effort. It’s like Super Mario 64. You make an effort to get all of the golden stars, and you get the freedom to exploit the areas... because the content is on the ground.
AND YOU GET TO FLY AT THE STARTING LEVEL OF THE XPAC? No xpac (to my recollection) has ever allowed that.
Find a beautiful piece of art. If you fall in love with Van Gogh or Matisse or John Oliver Killens, or if you fall love with the music of Coltrane, the music of Aretha Franklin, or the music of Chopin - find some beautiful art and admire it, and realize that that was created by human beings just like you, no more human, no less.

A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.
