peter and mj are so “divorced roommates in an 80’s sitcom” who have at-home spa nights. robes, full face mask, watching bad tv. they argue like they’re still married

(ugly suit but banger lines) i feel like this is kind of peak “Wolvie Spider-Verse” vibes: if we look back a few years ago when he was facing “absolute death”, the web of life went out of its way to summon others to prevent it.

so we can assume in the case of “eight deaths of spider-man”, it foresees his murders as always meant to be… and he will be killed without thought, whenever, wherever, because his love for the universe results in a rejection of permanent death. in the end, he’s conscious of the fact that he’s meant to suffer and endure, meant to experience horrors and be hurt unendingly — (think “spider-man takes the arrows and slings of the universe” from the sm/dp run) —

he is cosmically tied to The Horrors by being the universe’s Primal Strand, the one at the center of the web, and despite it all he comes out kind and full of love after everything is said and done!! even the gods call him indomitable on an inhuman level — he has, in essence, surpassed “humanity”, and is an entity unknown. (but also, still just a guy in your neighborhood)
