The blinding fluorescent lights of the emergency room was such a wonderful sight for her. It was straining on her eyes a little, but knowing she was now there made her feel much more comfortable. She almost didn’t want to let go of Iida when he set her on the gurney.
It was difficult for her to focus on one thing. Between passing by the ceiling lights to what sounded like murmurs from the nurses, Kendo wore a weak smile as her eyes closed, drifting off into a sleep as they took her into a room. As much as she wanted to stay awake, her body was too worn out and tired.
What felt like days for her, only hours into the next morning had arrived. Her body jolted as she woke up, her eyes wide open. She scanned the room with her blurry vision. After rubbing at her eyes, she had remembered she was at the hospital. Right in the visitor’s chair, Iida was fast asleep.
Just as she was about to move her arm to support herself out of bed, she noticed it was braced up. Her other arm was bandaged as well, but mostly cause of slight bruising. Sighing, though relaxed, she laid back in the bed and turned her direction towards him. “Iida?” Why is he still here? He should’ve gone back once they situated her.
