𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍: Tuesday, August 11th. Evening.
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: The doodges apartment.
Out of everyone in the Brown Baggers, Wren was significantly the worse out of them all in terms of moving their lives forward. Eli was in college, Kaden was in college, Trace was in college — fuck, even Grayson was applying to colleges after successfully getting his GED. That just left Wren, the usual black sheep, as a dropout and stuck at a minimum wage job. She didn’t mind it, it’s what she wanted, but it did make her feel like the less successful of the five friends. On Monday, she read her daily dose of the Muckraker. She tried not to read it because it was typically bullshit, but then if she didn’t she’d just be more out of the loop when it came to gossip and when she read about Trace dropping out, she didn’t believe it. But then again, it did make sense. Trace had never been in Lima for that long. She had seen him maybe twice since he graduated high school, so it didn’t seem too far fetched, so after her shift at Rinky Dinks on Tuesday she drove right over to the apartment where Kaden, Grayson, and Trace all lived. As she walked inside, it was kind of weird to be walking into the apartment as a friend and not sneaking inside to see Kaden. She also prayed that Kaden wasn’t at the apartment. Spotting Trace in the kitchen area of the apartment, she peeked her head around. “Oh, Tracy baby,” she sang out, sauntering over to his way. “Family disappoints. Party of two right here,” Wren’s go-to was to joke first, react later. “For real, that shit in the Muckraker true?” She asked, hopping on the counter.
