Happy Packsgiving!

Happy Packsgiving from our club to you and yours! Packsgiving is a WRFS original holiday that we created to celebrate fencing family. It’s like Thanksgiving, but with clubmates instead of those awkward relatives you only see once a year. (Also it’s much more acceptable to start a duel over the last piece of dessert.)

This year, we celebrated our 2nd annual Packsgiving with food, awards, and our usual general shenanigans.

Meet Latina National Fencing Champion Natalie Vie

Female athletes have been front and center in sports this year, proving that we have the physical capabilities to be just as fast, strong, and athletically inclined as men. Our latest athletic girl crush: Natalie Vie, an Argentine-American who currently fences on the FIE Women’s Epee World Circuit for Team USA and is currently preparing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil.
