Hey there , my name is Gigi. In my 22 years of living, I've always had a passion and talent for writing growing up . Inspired by writers such as Edgar Allan Poe and Shakespeare, I sought emotional outlet through what i produce when I write. I want my life to be an open book to everyone! I wants others to be able to relate to the things that they read, things that occur in my life that others may be dealing with currently. Poetry and all others forms of writing are a huge part of who i am today. I am a born-again Christian with hopes of empowering and encouraging others in their walk with Christ (especially the youth) and hopes of touching the lives of so many that want to seek and pursue a relationship with God. Your Now is not your Forever (WOE)

We are all genetically designed to receive the best , be the best , despite the many different living tribulations and circumstances we endure or are brought up into . You deserve every unbroken and unchanging promise that was given unto YOU by the spoken word of God . I see you going through what you call "hell" right now but you have yet to see the heaven that's right on the other side . Yes , LIFE and not death. Because whatever the situation you may be dealing with is necessary and no it won't kill you. You may feel as though it is destroying you but the outcome is to pull out what you refuse to pull from yourself , the outcome is to continue molding onto you what you thought has been striped away , the outcome is to build up your faith where you thought to yourself "man my faith just isn't gonna cut it this time " , the outcome is for a renewed mindset and a growth in the Spirit , the outcome is to PUSH you into that next level, the outcome is to see you live life in the fullness of the promise because our Aba has already defeated what we till this day perceive as a "certain death" . The type of death where you see no hope , because you're looking at the current picture , unaware of what's actually taking place surrounding it . Unbreakable is what you are and you deserve the best...and the best is yet to come. Your "now" IS NOT your "forever" . -Gigi

Who ?

"WHO? by @WriteGigi__" Who do you talk to when you can't vent to social media because it's a social pool of sharks and piranhas waiting to devour you emotionally , drag you down to the bottom in hopes to drown and suffocate you, silencing how you honestly feel?? Where everyone allows you to put up a front yet never allows you to be real? Who do you talk to , when you don't feel like turning to friends though they offer a listening ear, yeah they listen but you wonder if they ever actually hear . Who do you talk, when everyone sees you as this "don't-go-through-nothing" Christian ? When you're forced to press through hurt by yourself , the type of hurt that you can't even mention . Because everyone automatically assumes that you're just doing it for the "attention". Who do you talk to, when not even your family can allow you to show any type of expression? And they confuse your depression for happiness and your happiness for depression . Who do you talk to? Cause honestly sometimes we just don't want to talk to God , not for anything He's done though , sometimes we just feel too far away to let to let Him or any else know .

No Strings Attached

A lot of times, we act as if God is someone we can just go back and forth with. For example, have you ever been in a relationship with someone then broke up with that person for a few days or so then got back together again. Except instead of staying together, you both are constantly breaking up on and off again and the cycle of this destructive love pattern continues to repeat over and over again for months, maybe even years on end? That’s how some of us treat the relationship we have with God like.

We’ve allowed ourselves to become emotionally lead other than spiritually lead to the point where we can no longer depend on God to supply our needs, we’ve now shifted our focus from Him to man. We look for love, we look for some type of comfort, someone who will just be there and love us when it seems as though no one else will. Who will talk to us and allow us to be naked before them (naked in the sense of transparency). We look for all these things, these wants, these needs, not completely grasping the concept that we already have someone like that. His name is Jesus. Stop treating Him as though He is a boyfriend and know that He is more than the title you’ve given Him in your mind.

Stop waiting for someone to swoop in and change your life , not that God can’t make that happen, but don’t allow yourself to become so dependent on man. What could they possibly do for, to and in you compared to God?? NOTHING! We have Jesus ! And yet we act like we don’t want to have any strings attached because you feel as though He is a temporary God, a just-for-now God , a seasonal God but I’m telling you right now that you serve a God who is forever, eternal and everlasting. You can’t shake Him, you can’t lose Him. All you can do is be in His presence and allow Him to take you where He needs to take you and get you to where you need to be and allow Him to grow and shape you into the man or woman of God that He’s called you to be, to walk in His purpose and walk in His perfect will.

He is a husband, someone who will always be there, He is your providers, your sunshine on a cloudy day, He is the rhythm in every heart beat that thumps through your chest, He is the air that you breath, He is a life-giver and not a life-taker, He is the filling that consumes and satisfies every void within you, He is a lover and a teacher, He is a father and a leader, He is the head ABOVE all other heads, He is your motivational speaker, He is a chain breaker and mountain mover , He is your comforter, He is your hope, He is your lifeline, He is your savior, He is your hand holder in difficult times, He is your intercessor , He is your friend, He is the one you can open up to about any secret no matter how dark, He is the arms wrapped around you, He is the warmth you feel after joy, He is your strength and your protector , He is sooooo many things!!! That is the God you serve!

…..But you don’t want that, you’d rather try to reap the benefits without having a total commitment…..NO STRINGS ATTACHED right? You’d rather say “I want to live life” BUT WHO SAID THAT LIFE STOPS WHEN YOU COMMIT AND SUBMIT TO CHRIST, if anything, it simply begins.

Don’t allow yourself to be consumed with this generations problem of debating whether or not you live a life for Christ. The idols, the so-called role models on social media show you a relationship with God that’s half and half but you can’t be lukewarm and kingdom minded at the same time, it just doesn’t work like that, you’re either in all the way or not at all.

It’s time to change things up a bit. No more wishy washy. No more “I want you God this week” but “I’m good by myself next week”. Commit and allow Him to love you with an unfailing love an everlasting love, an unchanging and unmoving love. Trust God. Know God for yourself. Experience His love, power, glory , grace and mercy for yourself… “I Want Strings Attached” it’s time to get connected and stay connected..

Generation ..

Things can go either way... I mean, you can either be part of the problem, adding fuel to the fire OR you can be part of the solution, slowly but surely calming the flames. You constantly say that this generation is the generation of the lost, of the confused , the generation that lacks morals, respect, trust and love . ALL WHICH ARE TRUE!! BUT.... What role are you playing ?? Are you helping to fix this generation? Are you in any way, shape or form trying to make a difference in anyone life or are you just noise ?? Are you just another tongue uttering words over people ? Do you really want to witness a change ?? Are you starting with yourself first then extending outwards to your own family and eventually causing a chain reaction from your family to your friends and their friends and from that reaching those outside in the world ??? See...you can downtalk this generation and you can complain about it , you can even say that there isn't ANY HOPE for them at all, but don't...don't be part of the problem . Fix it . There are people in NEED OF TRUE GUIDANCE and it's sad to say this but some can't get that from their own home and the my definitely can't get that out in this world today . Reach out and change someone's life, you have no idea what a chain reaction that can cause . Don't stick to the darkness when inside you there's been placed a light.....a light to be spread all over this world . It Starts With You.

#WriteGigi 📖❤️🙏🏾 Anything, anyone can appeal to the eyes quicker than they can appeal to the heart. However your heart can be deceived by your eyes if your mind is willing. Sometimes you think a person is for you, sometimes you think a possession, a job, etc is for you so you cling to it, YOU LATCH onto it not knowing that this person, this thing WAS NOT FOR YOU , but it was placed before you to distract you from the great things, the perfect someone that God has placed up ahead . Because you're so latched onto this ONE thing, you've began to limit what God is able to do for you and around you.....Keep your eyes so fixed on God, allow Him to lead and speak you into the right direction, the right path, into the right crowd and people , the right career/job. Raising Up A Child (Proverbs 22:6)

I'm not a mother yet and I probably won't be for some time now . But parents , know the importance and power in SPEAKING LIFE OVER YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN . I say this because a few days ago I went to the store with my sister and nephew to return some stuff and when we got to the cash register in customer service , the lady went completely ballistic over my nephew . Talking about how cute and adorably chunky he is , which was awesome and then she asked what his name was and we told her . She then went on to say "oh my gosh ! My son has the same first name" . But as she said her child's entire name , I thought to myself "wow, that name has power in it" so I said out loud to this woman "don't be surprised if he becomes famous in the future , his name sounds like he'll be well known" . My sister also complemented her sons name . This woman completely disregarded the thought that her own child could become something simply because of her situation and because of her sons looks (he's only 3 years old) . She said with her own words "No, he won't . His dad is a jailbird , but he's very handsome , when he grows up he'll have these girl wanting to come out their name. These girls are gonna wanna have him". And I was so brought back by that statement . I didn't judge her but I felt bad because rather than speaking life and wanting more for her son, she basically decided what lifestyle she envisioned him growing into , something she pre-accepted . The bible says in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old , he will not depart from it . You mean to tell me that as a parent , that's all you have to teach and offer your child ?? These innocent little ones that soak up what they learn like a sponge. You want them to carry disobedience, defiance and recklessness into their future . They deserve to be taught better . SPEAK manners over your child , teach them how to pray , teach them how to praise and worship , do it with them if you want to or have to. Teach them to always want more from themselves and to never lower their standards to suite others. Teach them to respect themselves and other . TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD. Teach them that they are the next leaders. SPEAK LIFE OVER THEM, remind them that they're intelligent , handsome/beautiful, talented , amazing , creative , awesome , loved . Show them how to love , teach them how to guard their hearts . Tell them that they WILL become something and that God will give them the desires of their hearts . Embrace them, love them , acknowledge them and most of all GROW with your child . DONT RAISE YOUR CHILD UP INTO AN ALREADY DEAD SITUATION !!
