2025 cross stitch round up!

It's been a year of big pieces, all of which I've loved in their own ways. Both the LttP map and Ogre Eagle have been on my cross stitch bucket list for years, and I could not be more pleased with how they've both turned out!

As for 2026, I'm looking forward to making more Octopath bookmarks (I genuinely cannot articulate just how much I love making them) and working on the LttP dark world map some more. I've also got another Octopath 1 boss almost ready to start, just need to sort my floss, and I hope to chart some more bosses in the summer.

I expect to be a little on the quiet side in 2026. 2025 has been a nightmare year for me, and there are a handful of events coming in 2026 that I'm equally not looking forward to. So, I'm planning to do some serious introspection and hopefully self improvement. However, I will still be stitching and will hopefully have some cool things to share as I go!

Happy 7 year anniversary to Octopath Traveler!

This game means more to me than words can describe and has been a constant source of inspiration. I know I'll still be making cross stitch of Octopath for many more years to come!

Happy 8 year Octopath anniversary!!!

Unfortunately I haven’t had a lot of time or been in the best of health to make the piece I’d wanted to for this year’s big anniversary, but here are all the others I’ve finished since last July, including a Vanessa update!

I have never been able to articulate how much that first game saved me durning a horrible bout of depression, but I am so truly grateful for the series as a whole.

I’m loving everyone’s art and hoping to get back to my own soon!!

While resting my wrist I’ve played through AI: The Somnium Files and the Nirvana Initiative. Consequently I’ve been inspired to stitch a little Aiba for my fleece!

I’ve really enjoyed the games! Unfortunately, the stitching has aggravated my wrist, so I’m still mostly on hiatus…

She’s not taking very long, though the top section is larger than this bottom part. Pretty happy with the colours so far!

Unfortunately probably going to be my last post for a little while on account of my increasing wrist pain. I’m on track to see an osteo at some point over the summer, so fingers crossed it’s nothing serious!

Finished the Master of Fate bookmark!

That’s the three main Master bookmarks done! Im really happy with their colour contrasts now that I see them all together! I’m sure I’ll do the rest eventually, but I really need to play more of the game first!

Scored 91% on my most recent, most weighty uni assignment of the year! So I’m starting my next Octopath boss to celebrate!!

Fun side project I started after reorganising the floss last week. I’ve always wanted a swatch for each colour of DMC to make charting easier. It’ll probably take several years to create a full set, but they each only take 30 minutes, so they’re quick, mindless fun on their own!

Russell is finally finished!!

That felt like it took a lot longer than it needed to, but I’m so happy with the results. Since all his colours worked as expected, I’ll be able to stitch all of Cyrus’s bosses without too much worry!
